lol. I found it mildly amusing, I remember my brothers used to feed moths/flys that they caught to the spiders in the gardens when we were little. I never remembered crying over it...but here are my little monsters, the same kids that find bugs under rocks and throw them around...crying because of a dragonfly in a spiderweb. Kids are crazy. xD Now if we were still in Cali I could understand the emotion, dragon flys are so rare there, but here, we have like 20 that just hang around the house all day...there's no shortage of them!

I enjoy it. When it's not nap time and the kids eat what I feed them. >.> haha. I think all jobs have aspects you aren't fond of, but over all, I do quite enjoy being a mom. Kids are amusing to no end. The dragonfly incident today just being one of those things that you have to step back and giggle at.

Clair can have one of mine for a day. xD The feeling will pass quickly. lolz. Here it is 2 hours after I told them to take their naps...and they're still not sleeping.
No dessert after dinner tonight! Too bad for them too, we were gonna make s'mores with giant marshmallows!

It'd be different with your own kids.... Funny enough 10 kids are easier to take care of then one lol... And two seems to be a crazy amount of work ><;; Not that I am complaining...

I found a daycare opening... It is only part time... But I am wondering if it is a sign that I should apply... Cause it caught my eye on Saturday... Disappeared on Sun-Thu and reappeared today... I really don't want to put the boys in daycare but it would only be for a year for Sean since he would be starting preschool next fall...

I disagree. I think having your own child is much simpler than dealing with 40+ kids all day.

I'm on the fence. I think you'll like your kids more and so put up with more from them. But at the same time kids at a day care go home at the end of the day so you have your "awwww aren't you cute/annoying thank god you're not mine!" xD

Jaz- So long as the pay makes it worth it, I'd go for it. At least apply and see if it pans out. Mike seems to have gotten a decent education boost by having the day care time, maybe it will help with Sean too?

Exactly. I think it's easier to understand and... relate (xD) to your own child, making it easier than caring for a stranger's child.

I can see that. With other peoples kids you have to deal with their subtle...weirdities. Like needing a dora blanket to go to sleep, or a doll named mimi, or the strong desire to only color with pink because they aren't allowed to at home.

Yeah, things like that I can't really understand at work because toddlers aren't able to communicate certain things. A parent, who knows the child, will be able to understand the child's thought process better.

I filled out a sheet of Kuras weird-ness when we signed her up for her preschool last year. Random things that help her feel more at home, and things she may fuss over etc. I'm surprised they don't have that with your group of kids.

Thats too bad. It might make some kids easier to handle if you know more about them. Kura needed a blankie for naptime that we brought in daily for her. >.>

Our kindergarten papers have that kind of thing on it too... I put things like "becomes destructive when bored" and "will shut down under interrogation..." it also asked about punishments...

You should be told random things about the kids though, both to make them feel more secure and to make your time caring for them easier.

Jaz- lol. Kura has started throwing fits when we tell her no. I'm getting fed up with it. She started jumping up and down yelling yesterday. I started laughing and sent her to the corner. I'm soooooo done with these stupid 5 year old fits. Bring on the 6 year old ones. >.<

If Michael is any example the 6 year old ones aren't much better... He's taken to pulling his hair and hitting himself >.>
