I'm pretty impatient about things too, but the thought of spending over a thousand dollars on a dresser was just not appealing. We'd been watching craigslist for nice ones at decent prices but never found anything that was too desirable. Big lots isn't too far out of the way for us so that's nice. Everything else on the other hand... xD Like for my birthday I really want to go to Outback...but the closest outback is about an hour away. </3
It's worth going if you aren't too picky about what you want. They have decent prices on kids beds, mattresses, sofas, etc. And that's always nice. Getting a set there would be easy, but working around an already started decor pallet is more difficult.

I am debating on getting different beds for the boys.... They are the only ones who have an already started color palate.... Mikes sleeping on the top bunk and pissing the bed every night is just NOT working... >.>;;

Is he still doing that? You need to get him away from his father. >.< Do you think putting him in the bottom bunk would help? Or just taking the beds apart so both are on the bottom so to speak? Maybe he's scared to get out of the top bunk? I dunno, but it seems so frustrating! D:
The girls bed is white, and Aarons is Cedar ish colored? Darker than pine but not cherry...and I can't think of the name of the wood. It might even be Oak... anyway, I figured they're relatively neutral and so would work for anything. What I really need to do is get them each a new mattress. Right now they're on futon mattresses, and they do NOT work at least not for Aarons bed. The spacing between the slats on his bed is too far to hold up the futon and so the mattress falls between the slats and he plays in there and it's totally not safe. The girls bed has better slat support so theirs don't move too much, but they still roll up the futon mattresses and that ticks me off...I just don't have the money yet for getting them new mattresses. Hurry up new year so I can use some of my tax return >.<

Yeah I desperately need a new car... COME ON TAX RETURN!!!
I have debated on taking the beds apart... Their bed is a lightish wood color... We'll see what I can convince my husband to do on his next day off he usually spends most of his days off slacking :/ And since this will be my first day off since the beginning of September :( yay bad scheduling.

Nag him. All day nag him. xD Eventually he'll hear you and get it done!
I bugged Scott all of yesterday to clean off the patio because it was driving me crazy having it be so messy out there and he finally did it. It made me happy. So today, to make it up to him, I've cleaned the living room and the kitchen. (which were a mess yesterday because we didn't feel like cleaning...but he felt like cooking and playing video games. And whenever he plays video games, the kids get out a lot of their stuff to play in here with him. @ [email protected])

Did I mention I have nagged him to clean the bathroom? For like WEEKS.... <.< finally caved and cleaned the downstairs bathroom cause my mom was coming over and I really didn't feel like listening to her... And she still bitched at me about my house <.<
But the upstairs DESPERATELY needs to be clean... I cleaned the tub which was the hardest part now all he has to do is take off the old seat take off the old handle DEEP clean the toilet clean the sink and the floor... Not hard at all... has he done it... nope <.<;;
He likes to blame it on the kids not behaving but he expects me to clean the house on my own with three of them here? Not really my mom is... He just wants dinner on the table I think he could care less about the house... But a clean house makes ME happy he should help for ME!!

Yeah...I have no more excuses for not getting the house cleaned. I still don't get it done. How is it that even with the kids gone for 4-6 hours I still only have enough time for the front of the house? I swear I don't understand it one bit. Granted looking at the house right now I can kinda see why...it gets messed up pretty fast. The kids don't put their stuff away after doing homework and the dishes get left in the sink. I don't get home from dropping everyone off until an hour after school has started so that brings me to 3-5 hours with out them. Lately it's only been the 3...so getting the kitchen and the livingroom taken care of in that time is kinda all I can manage. There's stuff on the table right now that didn't get cleared away with dinner. A messy counter since Scott never cleans up after cooking... Laundry all over the place and it's just... UGH. I'm about to get started on it all while I wait for the rice to finish cooking so I can finish the bentos for tomorrow. Also just noticed a full laundry basket in the kids bathroom so I guess I have a bunch of their laundry to get started too... ho-hum.
And now that I've written all of that out...I'm feeling sleepy. Baby on the other hand, is NOT feeling sleepy. So I guess I should be getting to work on the house...and then spend tomorrow napping. xD

Yeah.... I've been working on the laundry for a few days now... Hanging almost all the clothes makes laundry a lot easier...I finally got it to a manageable level but I want to wash all of the stuffed toys too so not so much... I had the dishes under control yesterday but they got out of control pretty quickly... (really it is just that I set the mums in the spare sink and that the dishes have piled around them and the one sink of dishes that I was waiting on doing... ><;; serves me right for waiting... I need to work on the living room and kitchen today... We'll see...

I've been working on just laundry today. I have some mending I want to get to as well...but for now I want to just concentrate on getting the laundry off my couch/coffee table where I was folding it last night, and off my bedroom floor...where I was folding it 3 days ago. :headdesk:
I'd love to get down to the post office today. i have boxes to send to my mom, brother, and you. (I tell myself not to feel bad for putting off sending the box to you since I know you still have unpacking and stuff to do...so in my own way of being lazy I'm preventing more clutter from entering your house. yeah, that's what it is...) xD
It's almost 11 am and there are still plates with food from breakfast on the table. *sigh* Can I just take a nap and call it a day instead of being productive?
[edit] this thread is so lonely. </3
Last load of laundry is in the dryer and everything else is put away. I still have 1 hour to go before picking the kids up from school. woohoo!! I also just realized that all this weird cleaning, and sense of urgency to clean waking up at midnight and cleaning until 3 am is probably babies fault. Someone tell my body that baby isn't mine and I don't have to nest for him...my mind knows it. My body just seems to be confused.
And damn it Scott for getting me a coffee this morning. It apparently wasn't decaf, I can feel it in my arms/legs and it's making me feel all...off.
To top it off babies daddies are freaking out because the date is getting closer and closer (well duh it was bound to happen eventually!) And so they're like pestering me about how I feel and right now...I just want to be left alone with my uncomfortableness!

Sorry for the thread neglect Dillon called off sick **cough cough** on the hope that he could help me get the house together... So far we haven't gotten any further then I get on my own on a good day :/ does that mean today was a bad day and that because he was here it just made it equal out?
I'm in no rush for the box ^^ so no worries as long as it isn't cluttering your house O_O;;
Hope tomorrow is better though

Has he cleaned the bathroom yet? xD
I wouldn't think the day would be bad because it equaled out that way. Did you not get as much done becasue you were spending time together? I think that would make it a good day. I know that's why my weekend cleaning never seems to do anything...instead of going at 100% all day I go at like 40% xD
The box for you is actually in teh trunk of the car. Scott got pissed off about it sitting under the piano and moved it there like a month ago. I need to switch out the box it's in though since it doesn't all fit...but I never remember to bring it back inside, much less do I ever go to the post office! Maybe tomorrow? ...haha.
I hate days when I want to be lazy and end up being productive. I'm afraid because of all the energy I've spent getting the house to look decent today, I'm going to fall asleep before Glee starts tonight. I missed the premier of House last night (and it's not on Fox's website yet! D: ) because I fell asleep at like 7:40...then woke up at midnight... but I don't want to miss Glee! Damn it I will stay awake!

In that case I would count it as a wasted day off, but a successful day together.
Now go and beat him until the bathroom is cleaned to pass inspection!

I am actually going to bug him to do it before the night is though... He has a blister from chopping wood though lol so he is probably going to have to put on some gloves!
We got a lot more done after I got off the computer and we still have lots more planned... We're whipping this house into shape! Dillon likes being more physical he says his job makes him more tired because he sits all day and when he comes home he just wants to sit...

Sounds like it's time to break out the whippn stick!
So I finally decided to be a good wife. >.> Scott was promoted to E-5 on September 1st...and today I finally sewed the proper crows onto his uniform shirts. xD The morning of September first he told me he needed it done, since he had to wear a work shirt after the ceremony, so I sewed it on by hand, and it seriously took me two hours to do it. So I'd been putting off doing the others. Yesterday he broke out my sewing machine (that he got me for christmas last year, since I asked for one...and had yet to open the box. lolz...) and tried to do it himself. A total failure since going over what he attempted last night only showed me how many random steps he missed in setting up the machine. @ [email protected] So I went and did the other 3 shirts he had today...so now I don't have to feel rushed to do laundry for him anymore...since he has enough shirts for the week. Har har! Maybe I should also get some mending done for the kids...but I need to pick up pins first. But Kura will be happy since it will get her another princess skirt to randomly wear to school.
I'm kinda avoiding doing too much right now though, since I'm hoping Scott gets off early from work today. >.>

I was scared of sewing machines prior to this. xD I'd worked with one very briefly in home economics in middle school...but was scared to actually use it so I tried to get away with just working the hand knob. lol. Most things I've done I've hand sewn...and they've all turned out decently enough. haha.
I went through step by step in the instruction booklet to get it...and even then I was scared to actually press the foot pedal and make it work. But I did it, and I'm soooo proud of myself for getting the darn crows put onto each of his shirts. xD yay me!
I keep thinking I need to go to the store. But other than picking up the Tinkerbell movie that came out yesterday, I can't think of what it is I need to get. o.o

I have a spiral notebook that I keep track of them in. Scott gets annoyed that I don't do it on the computer. I know how to...I just don't want to. lol. I like my notebook! I've had it going for like 3 years now!
I've decided I like sewing machines. After taking two hours to hand sew on a patch to his uniform prior to this, it took me about 30 minutes to do the 6 patches this time after figuring out how to use the machine/set it up. And it probably would have gone quicker if I had ironed the patches before hand so the little parts that get tucked under wouldn't have kept trying to escape from their spot.

woohoo go Jaz!
I got bedsheets onto the kids beds! I'm so proud of me!
and omg it's like 85 degrees and I'm totally sweating. ewwwwwww.
I went to the post office and mailed some stuff to my brother, but forgot to bring your address with me so I couldn't mail the package to you. xD Guess I'll have to head over there again. I remember why I hate going to our post office now though. I always wind up with the one guy that doesn't speak english...and I can never understand him! Not only is their english off...but it has a deep southern accent...and I can't understand normal "south" much less "deep south" and not completely english!
