Yeah most people want the opposite gender for their second. I say most not all... I know Mellie still wanted another girl now she has twin lol...

I have likes and dislikes I have talked myself through for the past 6 ish months about each gender. Having a girl means I get what I've been wanting for about 7 years now... ((Though I knew from the start my oldest was going to be a boy... Genetics were against me...)) but I have nothing at all for a girl... If it is a boy... I have lots of stuff for boys... But I don't get a girl and most of the baby stuff is way out of season...

Genetics were against me getting a girl but I still got two Jazzy. Scotts mom was one of 6 children, and the only girl. Scotts dad has 5 children, only one of them is a girl. BUT Scott and I both wanted a girl going into it. And call me crazy, but I do believe that has something to do with it. Which is why I tell people to agree on what gender they want, if they have a preference. :rofl: Twins are a bit difficult. ^^;;

I think waiting until the end is fun in it's own way. I still giggle about the look on Owens dads faces when they saw him for the first time. It was complete dumbstruck "but that's not a...but that means...that is a...penis" I giggled a little inside. They were so convinced he was a girl, because I told them I wanted him to be a girl. xD Boys. They're so friggan cute. :lol:

Michael's dad is one of children... 2 of which are girls.. He wanted Michael to be a boy and I wanted him to be a girl... My side is 50-50 on boy girl genetics lol...

Dillon and I both agreed that we want a girl with Sean... And we got a boy who is more boy the his big brother lol... He even more so agrees that he wants a girl now... I think he is done with rough and tumble lol...

In my family you have two boys, and then you have girls. So I was fully expecting Sakura to be a boy...just because well lets face it, there were boys all over the place, being boys and having penises and there was a serious lack of girl. But the ultrasound didn't rule it out, and that was all the proof I needed to believe that she was a girl and cling to that. I figure, with the amount of technology they have, they would have seen the penis and therefor she had to be a girl. A modest one since she wouldn't open her legs. Boys wouldn't be shy about that kind of thing. :lol: Of course she grew into a girl who could care less about those things... oh well.

Well then maybe you got soo far to one end of the spectrum that there was no other choice? Dillon's dad is the only boy of his generation and if I remember right he is also the youngest. Before that there were no boys except his father.... Dillon and his brother are because there were no other options lol... But that should give me a good 50-50 chance right? lol... My ultrasound tech has not had trouble finding the girlly or boy parts at all.. She usually finds them in seconds... I wasn't with my best friend when they told her that she was having a girl but she only needed one ultrasound to confirm it lol... And I do have to say girl parts and boy parts DO look different even on sonograms ROFL... It is funny cause it looks like I have two identical pictures for the boys... LOOK PENIS!!! THERE IT IS IN ALL IT'S GLORY... My best friend posted hers and I was like... WOW... I see butt legs... and girl parts lol...

I saw nothing in Owens ultrasound. If they hadn't said, hey it's a boy I would have been so lost. I still have one hte pictures maybe I'll post it up for you to see. I see NOTHING in it. xD
Kuras legs were closed, but they didn't see any penis/testies.
Aaron was an obvious boy, and melody was an obvious girl. Though to be honest I was more relieved that I was pregnant with twins and not some genetic monster (er...some of the dreams I was having combined with "genetic counseling" before the ultrasound severely freaked me out) so I wasn't paying too much attention after they told me the genetic age/that everything was healthy. I could have been having twin boys, and I still would have felt relieved! xD Thank God they were human and healthy!

I have the boys pics on myspace so I'll show you they are identical ^__^ one is obviously older then the other. And Mikes was a two part picture... If I remember right the other half is a picture of his monster feet lol...

ROFL... Yup Girly pictures look sooo much different... I totally see everything... My best friends daughters ultrasound was the same ultrasound tech was sooo funny... It was like mini not quite there butt cheeks, leg other, leg GIRL PARTS! lol

I soooo wanted Michael to be a girl that I made the lady do a second check when she was checking to be 100% that he was head down. And I have an ultrasound of JUST his penis ROFL

Mellie, I know! We never dare put up a full naked one of Terra, because you never know. Luckily she has this natural ability to close her legs in a lot of naked photos. :XD Anything questionable is covered up.

This kid loves being naked, but I suppose a lot of babies do. Being naked or being in the water... cures any fit. Hehe.

Or being near the mom's heart. :)

Sean hated being naked the first 3-4 months... and hate water his first 2 years... He only recently warmed up to the idea of having a shower. ><;

I keep pretty good tabs on nekkid pictures lol... But There are LOTS that have penis showing... I've gotten trouble back on Myspace for some I missed... :/ but I also have super mega blockers on it... and on my FB

Oh yeah, sometimes it just slips through! As parents we don't think about it/realize it.. we're more excited about how cute and happy they are in the picture otherwise.

Clair, Terra's not a snuggler. Only when she sleeps. xD So that didn't work for her, not even in her early infancy.

Ah, well. :lol: What calmed me down (according to both parents) was a steady movement- such as being in a car or even weirder, a plane- and having someone listen to my heart. I was the opposite. I liked having someone lay their heads/ears against my chest. :)

Yeah, that's the thing. A parent isn't excited about the picture because the child is naked, but because it captures a moment when their child is completely and purely innocent in all senses of the word. :)
