They popped my water first. I wouldn't have allowed them to start the pitocin first, I was hoping that the popping of my water would start the contractions, and it did. I was 1 1/2 maybe 2 cm dialated and only about 50% effaced when they did it.

I've never got past 1cm on my own :/ I don't know though I haven't done enough research...
So took the kids to the pediatrician.... Sean got a Hep A shot which I am pretty sure he could use... And the records I have aren't up to date for Michael :/ worse yet. They got records from their previous doctor and they didn't record Michael's Hep A vax that he JUST got the booster for a few months ago so now he has to get another one... I want to cry I am tired of fighting with doctors... Particularly ones who don't keep good records how the hell do you get into a profession like that and not have good record keeping skills... The ONLY thing I like about this pediatrician is that he administers the shots himself he doesn't have his nurses do it....... But I don't know I wasn't paying the greatest of attention to the doctor's hands like I normally do to the nurses when giving a shot... Mostly cause he has a VERY strong accent and I was trying to pay attention to what he was saying rather then doing and some part of me thinks I saw him administer the shot he gave Sean without gloves...... Dillon was holding Sean so I wonder if he was paying more attention.... I am so fed up with things right now... I feel like giving up... This doctor already showed that he will want me to put Ellie under the lights rather then giving me the other options I KNOW are out there if she has Jaundice.... So yet another baby I would have and not be allowed to hold for 3 days to a week....
I really don't know what my other options are at this point.... I have one other solution but seeing as my previous doctor kept records like a "pro" /sarcasm... Michael will still have to get a shot he has already had once... Unless I can find where I put his other immunization records...... Which is slim chances at the current moment.....

Yeah, we still don't have approval so it's not like I can get Scott to register them up there. And I don't want them to miss out on the school year. That and Cali still has a Dec 2 cut off date for turning 5 for kids to get into Kindergarten, so if I can get them both in no questions asked, then I should be able to just transfer them both up to Kodiak still in Kindergarten. I know Aarons not quite ready...but I think with us working with him extra it might make up for it. And I'm willing to put in the effort. (:

I think he'll do fine particularly because you are working with him... Mikes SHOT OFF in kindergarten like no other I think he probably could have done it in his 4 year old preschool he just all of the sudden "caught on" to everything... He could write and identify almost every letter and was reading AR books by the first quarter of kindergarten!
So that is good news though... :D Well positive at least <3
Note: Michael was 5 in his 4 year old preschool program.... Because of the school cut off dates his birthday lands before the school year starts :/ hence why he is a year older then EVERYONE in his class... There are only like 2-3 kids in his class that were 7 before they started and every birthday we went to I swear they were turning 6 made me sad... He's not dumb... He's actually quite bright... He can't help when he was born!

I think here you can put a child in school at 4, so long as they turn 5 before October 15th. Terra's birthday is September 1st, so technically if school begins August 30th, she may enroll at 4. We won't know until we see who she turns into.
I hope things turn happier for you two ladies soon!

Kids here can start at the age of 3 (hence Sean starting school in November) as long as they are 3 before June 2nd.... Since Michael's birthday is July 9th he was delayed a whole year from entering school... All the way through... Many of the kids in his classes were just turned 3 and didn't know their alphabet or anything like that.... And Michael did his first year of preschool in complete boredom... :/ He didn't learn anything new sans maybe a couple of songs and to tie his shoes... Even though I told his teachers first day that the list of "what you want your child to accomplish this year" had nothing new to him he could count to 10, he could say his ABC's etc... I asked if they would work with him and help me start him learning identification... It never happened.... He was very bored and had a lot of behavioral issues his first year... But man 4 year old preschool he shot off like no other they taught the ones who knew the basics to identify, write and say the sounds of the letters and man he excelled! Sean is kind of at the same boat as Michael was when he started the 3 year old program (though it did take Mikes longer to do a lot of the things Sean is already doing he was probably close to 4 when he started actually learning his shapes while Sean knows what a crescent & octagon are already... Though he still struggles with triangle square and rectangle my guess is because of the "angle" at the end and how close a square is to a rectangle but he is getting better).... I am hoping the school they go to now is better then the one Michael started at... The teachers there were just TERRIBLE... Michael had wetting accidents still when he didn't like something and they would yell it over all of the parents and kids as I picked him up that he did... Come on guys you can SEE that it is embarrassing to him and because of that he had MORE accidents... His 4 year old year he had one accident early in the year and that was it (despite him still wetting the bed a lot at home he was doing awesome at school) and I wholey attribute it to the fact that the teachers didn't make a public spectral of him they would pull me to the side if something happened and tell me in private. I am nervous about Sean starting for that reason... He is not very socialized... though he has been around other kids he usually sticks to his brother like glue... Or plays by himself.... And gets angry if someone messes with him... And they expect kids to come into the preschool program with years of daycare under their belt so they should know the "rules" of how to deal with others... I don't know he is so very different from Mikes but similar in a lot of ways as well... so I assume schooling will be different for him then his brother... We'll see if I ever get his approval letter I hope it comes today.... Otherwise I have to call the district on Monday Xp that is never a fun en-devour!

I think preschool programs here start at age 3, but not school system programs. Kindergarten starts at age 5 usually, unless kids hit the age mark I mentioned above.
If we can afford it next year, I want to get Terra enrolled at the local Montessori school. Time to time we talk about budgeting, saving and scrimping, and that would be worth it to us. I'm surprised the area near here even has one. If it doesn't happen, oh well. It's just, we all talk about budgeting and cutting the luxuries, and that would be one of those things. Guess it depends what she likes come then.
I think she needs daycare around Fall 2012. I think. I really don't know how involved my practicum labs will be. My husband is entering the nursing program this fall, and he's already going to do clinical work. His pre-reqs are already done. Luckily we avoided a schedule conflict for this term, but she may need daycare before Fall 2012 anyway!

It all depends on the county really as to when the school cut off dates are. Kura could have gotten into headstart at 3 if there was room, but there wasn't. In Pasquotank County NC the cut off date is September 1st. So since the twins are born on the 14th they had to wait an extra year. Because of 14 days! D: In the district they'll be in here in Cali it's current cut off date is December 2nd that kids have to be 5 by for entering Kindergarten. So the twins fit into that one easily. Though I was reading yesterday that they are going to be pushing it back one month for the next 3 years until it's also September 1st. Which really annoys me. >.>
But yeah, I believe most kids are bright enough to pick this stuff up. It just depends on how much they're worked with for it and how much they actually want to learn! I bought a reading game for the DS a while back and Kura loves it. She's learned quite a bit from that, and she loves the tinkerbell game for the Didj she got for Christmas a couple years back and she's miles ahead of most other kids when it comes to addition and subtraction now. At least she was in NC. Not sure where the schools here are. >.>;;

OMG I wanted the boys to go to a Montessori school <3 I love Montessori <3 My favorite early childhood curriculum developer person to learn about I loved learning the techniques unfortunately we don't have a Montessori school within like 3 hours of here.... I don't even think our capital has one :/ Do you have a FB Chi? I follow This they have awesome ideas even if you don't home school <3
Mikes is doing addition and some subtraction as well :) he got a leapster for his birthday and he is whizzing through the games O_o;;; I think a lot of the problem with kids not getting things is either a true disability or lazy parents... Or stubborn kids... I think Aaron fits into the third from what I've heard from you Mellie... He just wants to pretend he's not smart...
Hrmmm... Need to check the mail... I hope it's come... I want to know what Sean's supplies are praying he did get in!!!
Ohhhhhhhh I have someone to take some of my anger out on Monday.... FUN FUN!!!.... They placed Sean in a school 30 minutes away from Michael's school when they were suppose to be in the SAME school! And a PM class so it won't be like I can drop off Michael a little early and get Sean in on time... it is I am going to have to try to pick them both up at the same damn time... Scream fest Monday.... Bring your own popcorn....

mmm pop corn! I do love a good bitchfest! (specially when it isn't aimed at me!)
I think Aarons main thing is that he wants more attention. And being silly/ignoring what he's supposed to do is his way of getting that attention. When working with the twins Melody always yells out the answer first. I've had to send her away just so he will talk, and even then he starts fiddling with things and saying the same thing over and over (anything like D, O, Q, G, etc becomes Q) Even if he already got Q. Also part of that was my fault. They'd learned the lowercase in school, and on the flash cards I only had the upper case. ^^;; But still.

That is a controversy in early childhood actually... LOL... Whether to teach lower or upper or both... Michael did best when they finally got around to teaching both at the same time (though Michael has issues with b and d still for some reason and I don't know how to help him with that one) but I can see where Aaron's confusion is with those letters even typed I didn't READ them correctly... LOL... They look a lot alike...
Sean needs to be in school though... He is identifying letters already (mostly "s and x" but still)... He constantly sits with me and asks me to tell him what "this" letter is over and over and over until he's done all of them at least 15 times lol...

The way I see it, since they encounter both they should be taught both. Childrens books aren't all in upper or lower case so it helps more to do them both at the same time. O.o I'll never understand why one is taught over the other. Aren't they both important? lol. The only thing I don't like is that they were teaching Kura to write some of her letters in cursive. I hate the cursive K, and of course that was one of the letters they wanted her to write cursive. :/ Whatever North Carolina. Whatever. xD
My last name i Erb. I made the mistake between b and d well into first grade. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. And that was with me having to write it on almost every single paper. So if it isn't in his name, which I don't think it is...then yeah it will take more time. Second grade I just used "okay, in my last name it goes away from the other letters so if it goes like that then this one goes...
Aaron manages to write the second a in his name backwards. xD Kids are cute. Kura can write her name backwards perfectly and not think it's wrong at all. Man, I miss that part of childhood. Everything is right even if it's not...right. Melodys started doing that too. Kura will also translocate (I think that's the term...) numbers. So like 21 would be written as 12 and she'd know it wasn't right since she already wrote 12 but she couldn't figure out WHY it was wrong. It's got both the numbers it has to have!
Fractions will be fun with this one...nevermind that I SUCKED at fractions. Adding them, subtracting them...the worst was multiplication and division! D:

Restraining orders suck. And it doesn't seem to do much but hurt you either. O.o
Good luck a the district today!
I'll be leaving here in about an hour for my grandparents house to use their fax machine and get the stuff that I need for registering the kiddos. I should also start harassing a pediatrician around here. DOES NO ONE CHECK THEIR VOICE MAILS??? Because i left a voice mail at 3 different peds offices yesterday and not one of them called me back. :/ I want a job answering phones/calling back people that leave messages. Because really I'm starting to think most people can't handle that. WTF. But oh well. Today will be productive. And that will make me happy. But first! I need to get started on breakfast! Cinnamon Rolls!
Or bagels. hmmmm...

Mmmm cinnimon rolls sound awesome... I SWEAR Ellie made my sweet tooth turn into a sweet... EVERYTHING @ [email protected];;; If it is sweet and chocolatey I WANTS IT!!! lol
After going to the district they basically told me I would be put on a waiting list to transfer Sean it would ONLY happen if someone moves or drops from Carlile... And some part of me is thinking "fat chance" but we did work out a way to get him through to the other school or rather picked up from the other school... Basically My sister and Dillon's brother would pick up Michael M-Th since they would be closest to him and he doesn't require a bulky heavy carseat like Sean just a small backless one and he could walk back to both of his grandmas if nothing else.... In fact he'd be walking back to my mother in laws on T & Th anyhow cause my BIL doesn't drive... Which is going to SUCK come winter time but I might be able to catch them on the way back too... At least he wouldn't be waiting at the school for 30-45 minutes that way...

I hope everything smooths over for you two soon. :(
Not much has been going on here, hence my lack of posting. My summer courses (okay, one) suck, but everything else is positive. I had an actual pregnancy "scare" last week, and after two tests nothing showed, so I assume what's going on is hormonal changes or something. Not to be TMI or whatnot, but I haven't had a period since Terra was born. I assume I'm due to have one anytime. It's just bizarre because EVERYTHING feels like when I was pregnant.
I'm going to the doctor on Friday for something unrelated, so I think I'll ask for a blood test just to ease my mind. 99% says I'm not, regardless.

You're still breastfeeding right Chi? A few women don't get them as long as they breastfeed. After each of my siblings were born my mom didn't get her period for 6-8 months. I on the other hand don't have that luxury. 4 weeks after the after birth bleeding stops Surprise! Period. >.< But I hear that even with out the period you can still get pregnant. Not quite sure HOW that works but apparently it's not unheard of. My midwife and previous doctors all said that even if you don't get your period you should be on birth control.
Jaz- Is there any sort of afterschool program you can put Micheal in? If they have a learning sort of Science program or something that might be good. It seems that a lot of elementary schools are phasing out science. O.o At least in NC they were and I've heard it around the bend here in Cali too.

I won't know about after school programs until Michael is IN school which isn't going to do me any good... And I found out my BIL has an overlapping schedule so he can't pick up Michael... And no plan B...... I am lost... I swear someone out there hates me and enjoys watching me writhe....
You still ovulate even though you aren't dropping your monthly blood my guess is that the hormones you have from breastfeeding (which replicate some of the pregnancy hormones) keep the lining koooshy... rather then release it... *shrugs* but it is just a guess... I've never been so lucky... I bleed 4-6 weeks and then have a week off and start my period... :/

If you're ovulating you need to drop the lining though or the hormones won't trigger the release of a new egg. So the only egg taht would be there would get old and decreped. It's only viable for so long, thus some women need to go in for D&C's when their linings don't drop.
I think the same person out there hates me. We can writhe together. >.<

I don't know then... All I know is that you make only part of the hormones of when you are pregnant... Hence why when nursing you don't go on regular bc because it would stop milk flow.
Yeah I am getting pretty darn miserable with it all.... I want to curl in bed and do nothing... But the world dictates that I can't..... But what I CAN do isn't getting me anywhere....

Good Luck Chi! I had the same feelings several weeks before I found out I was pregnant with Sean... I think we went through 5 tests before we got a positive.... :P But I also started testing LONG before at home pee tests could detect him... So yeah he was there... And he was in all his glory lol.... That is why Dillon made me hold off on testing to see if Elizabeth was there.... Because he didn't want all the negatives. But I wasn't nursing when I got pregnant either... Though I know it is possible...

Terra dropped a feed, which means I could have ovulated. All I know is 4-7 days after the "oh just one time no big deal Terra took 2 years to conceive" sex, I had the same type of spotting. Alternating pains on the left and right, like ligament pains. Breast pain in the tissue.
It could be hormonal changes though. 2 weeks after I took a test that was negative. I'll get a blood test Friday to put wondering to rest. I don't think I am, but I will be happy either way. :3
