I remember one of the first things I said to Cole after Terra was out was something like, "I know that as time passes women are meant to forget the amount of pain they were in. I know that. But remind me of this moment when I say I NEVER WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN."

I think I have a decent grasp on the pain level I was in, but I find I wouldn't mind doing it again.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember the pain I was in too. With Owen, I'm pretty sure I had blacked out from it for a couple of seconds because everything went dark and quiet and I was scared, but then everything livened up again and he was born. But I don't really remember pain with Sakura anymore. And while I distinctively remember the amount of pain with the twins after, I can't remember any pain during the pregnancy. Womens bodies are just so weird.

I remember Mikes pregnancy clearly... And despite the swelling in my feet (and baby daddy drama) I was happiest with his pregnancy.... His labor was the hardest one so far... Not so much pain wise... but that I just wasn't all there for the whole labor... They threatened me with forceps because I kept falling asleep in the middle of pushing... I could feel contractions but for some reason I just passed out between them no matter what I did... I wound up bursting blood vessels all over my face arms and chest with him...

Sean was a terrible pregnancy I was sick the WHOOOOLE pregnancy... :'( both a viral cold/ cough thing and morning sickness non-stop... Not to mention I worked for a HORRIBLE daycare that treated me like sh*t.... But his labor was so easy on like every level <3

Ellie's has been in between the two... I'm not sick... I did have morning sickness early on but it only lasted 2 or so months... And was easy to manage as long as I didn't get too hungry and avoided heavy smells... I am really achy right now and I get more and more sore as the day wanes on... By around 8 or 9PM I can't stand or sit without back pain. But it really isn't too bad.... But I can feel her both in my ribs and in my cervix and it worries me that she is going to be HUGE at birth sometimes... At least super long... She has 3 more weeks to bake though and I am trying to stay positive... I am still up in the air with what I want to do for my labor... I have come to the conclusion that I will probably do some IV meds but not like I did with Sean were I more or less just did it cause the contractions were annoying me... lol.... I think I am strong enough to do labor with out them and I'd like to try...

I'm now more excited though. I don't have to stay in a hotel this time. I get to stay with them and play with Owen. One of their moms even set up a girls day for us the day before the transfer, and so we're going out for mani/pedis/hair stuff. Yay!

Owen was the last baby you carried, right? That is so cool you get to carry his sibling, too!

Yup. Owen was my last baby. And now it's time for him to get a brother/sister. (:

Jazzy- I think you should try a natural birth. I think you may be annoyed at yourself later if you don't. (Unless of course, you know that you won't. I'm basing this off of previous posts you've made concerning birth and your desire for natural).

I'm wondering the same thing, Jaz. I also remember worrying the same thing when Terra was born. At 35 weeks her head was 9.5cm, and I was frightened I'd never get her out. She was huge. 20.5in long and 8lbs 5oz. BIG CHUNK of baby.

Still don't know how I did it, to be honest. If I were pregnant again I'd still not believe how babies come out.

My uncles first adopted baby didn't come out so easily. The mother opted for natural birth, but her hips never widened during pregnancy or birth. She ended up shattering part of her pelvis. My uncle says he remembers hearing a heart wrenching scream (adoptive parents aren't allowed in the delivery room, should the mother change her mind last minute) Yeah...not all women can give birth. I'm pretty sure this girl is now scared to death of not only getting pregnant, but sex.

GUUUUUUUUUUH.

Plus, each pregnancy differs as everyone knows. My mother's friend gave birth once or twice fine, and then broke her tailbone. :/ Crushed it.

Ugh - the horror stories. Fitting for Halloween, though. I think Justin would have come a lot easier if I did things naturally. As soon as the drugs hit my system he turned around and went breech. We ended up having a c-section.

Boo for token monsters. >.<

The difference in each pregnancy really surprises me. I wish I could be 19 for all of my pregnancies. I think that was part of the reason the twins were so easy, I was both young and energetic with a husband supporting me instead of 17/18 with a boyfriend and non-supportive family. ><

I agree Mellie on the age thing.... I felt the best during pregnancy with Mikes who I was between 17/18 years old... I also had the most energy for him as a baby too... Sean's was a terrible pregnancy probably most because of the job I held where I chased 10 kiddos between the ages of 1-3 and had wretched bosses and most of my co-workers sucked (also didn't help that I was still unwed :P)... Ellie's pregnancy hasn't been too bad... And I think a lot of it has to do with me not being worried where Dillon is or getting mad that he could go and have fun while I worked :/ etc.... We are a lot more in sync lol..

Chi I have a ex-friend who broke her tailbone with her 6lb first daughter who was a little early if I recall correctly but was induced almost a week late I think with her second who was nearly 9lbs and had no problem.

So I am dilated to 2cm I am like super cheesy excited about it O_O;; I've never dilated this much on my own... I am trying not to get too excited but it is sooo hard... With the boys I say at 1cm until my inductions at 39weeks... From there I shot through the levels though...

It makes me hopeful that she will come on her own without an induction. But I don't want to get my hopes up TOO much still... I know I don't want to go past the 22nd... Honestly with the two boys and two schools and my mom just getting out of the hospital... I don't think I could chance that she may come after Thanksgiving break.... :/

If you guys are talking about pain meds I want to try to do it without them it all depends though.... I'd like to see how far I can push myself. I don't remember asking for the medications with Michael... But I remember being checked with Sean and them saying it was the perfect time for an epidural and I said I'd rather the IV medications and asked for those... I really didn't TRY to go any further... Sean was born probably an hour and a half later and the medications only last for an hour...

Your hospital must have weaker meds then. The ones they gave me lasted for 4 hours. Or they were supposed to anyway.

Could just be a different IV drug *shrugs*... The ones they give me numb my whole body but they barely take the edge off of the contractions.... They compared it to dental numbing so I don't know LOL.... I was getting checked for a re-dose with Sean because the contractions were getting kind of intense and they checked to make sure he wasn't coming... well he was lol... And he did...

Yes, yes she does! I also feel better after a haircut. I'm due soon.

God. I am beyond sick right now with Cole's mess. Er, not that it's his fault he got sick. You know what I mean.
To make matters worse, our landlords seem to be bailing out on replacing our drafty door/windows when in the summer they said it would be no problem. Last night when I came home from class, Cole was in the middle of making dinner, saying he got a voice mail that we'd have to "chat" first. He's too stressed out right now with his lab exams (the big ones--he begins clinical work at the nursing home next week), so I called back and left a very polite message saying if they're too uncomfortable putting more money into the house, we're moving. I said I would rather they don't do anything at all if our demands are too much over the next year.

Before we moved in, I expressed concern over the windows. That was my only issue. They said they'd all be replaced, buuut... stupid me didn't get it in writing. I had such a great landlord from 2006-2011, and these guys seemed genuine in that they were very nervous about renting because their prior tenants screwed them over. Big time. As in, having to paint every room and replace all carpeting bad. And kitchen flooring. The graffiti on the basement walls makes me believe it.

Point being? If we have to move on short notice, it will be next month during our winter break because juggling Terra on top of school isn't doable. The bad side to that is, we'll probably have to go back to my old hometown and be in the middle of nowhere again. Upside? Free rent I suppose, with just heating and utilities to pay.

I just really, really don't want to move back home. Something about that feels like such an epic failure at 27. It would be temporary, sure, but who knows when decent rents will come up again.

I am sorry to hear that Chi... Have you called them back? It is there responsibility as landlords especially if they told you they would replace those things...

I called last night, and I don't know if they might have called Cole's cell phone while he's been away. He'll be home in an hour or so.

It is their responsibility, but we didn't get that part in writing, so we have no legal standing. I have thought about politely asking for our security deposit back if we bail early due to the house being too damned cold, but I dunno. I could get a lawyer, but I don't want that stress for something around what would be under $2000. It's six of one, half a dozen of the other, like the saying goes. We'd save money if we just left during December and said screw it. We wouldn't pay February or March, so we'd "save" $700.

It is fully possible they'll replace things, but they need to know it's not just a case of the living room door, bathroom window and kitchen windows. They themselves called of their own accord saying they were going to replace the living room and kitchen doors, but we then explained how the bathroom needs it the most, and that we couldn't open the kitchen windows without quarter-sized spiders constantly creeping in over the summer. They are drafty, sure, but not as bad as the rest.

So, we'd still be asking them to replace the kitchen door, play room window, and the final bedroom's windows. Regardless of them saying it would happen, I have reservations. I'm never doing anything like this again without everything in writing.

Me personally, I question how much they care about the house's upkeep. When we moved in, the boiler coil had rusted out and we had no hot water. They really couldn't have checked? They even spent the night here while working on it! (They live quite a distance away.) The water pump has also been leaking for months, and they don't care enough to get someone out here. We've dealt with buckets as it's not a spraying deal, but a drip.

Though, come to think of it, it had been spraying everywhere at one point. We didn't wait for them on that one. We just called someone and sent them the bill. :/ Can't have our stuff downstairs ruined.

It'll work out either way. If we hear back from them today, and it's a no go, I'll just hunt for houses in the area and see if we can do that rather than go all the way back to my old town.

If they say they are going to do it still maybe you should set it up in writing. And add the other problems ESPECIALLY if you are paying for water... O_O; always get EVERYTHING in writing...

Nope, we don't pay water. No one does in this neck of the woods.

The only thing not covered was the talk of the windows being replaced. There was a voice mail from one landlord saying a lot of things have come up on their end, and he really wants to get where we're coming from. I literally can't speak. My throat is closing, my ears are already closed, and my nose is as well. And my husband won't do it because he's worried about "pussing out".
