You should have seen me yesterday/the day before!

I'm updating the rare item guide. And so I need to make avis for the previews of the items so you can see what they look like on an avatar etc. I don't mind doing female previews, except that my hair has to keep changing and I can never find the same color twice. But the gender switching, and my very limited amount of male clothes makes it kinda difficult at times. Thus I stole gold from my mule so I can buy items that I deem appropriate for outfits. I mean...I might decide to have a male avi at one point right?
I think I'm good with this outfit...until tomorrow when I do Octobers items. xD

I want to co-sleep soooo bad Ellie has woken up ever 30 minutes acting like she wants to nurse then passing out when I bring her to the breast... She ate a solid 30/30 split almost an hour ago.All she wants is to be close, and I can't really blame her. But I kniw th nurse is going to say something if I do... Stupid controversy

Tell the nurse to lay off. You know how crucial the first moments are with co-sleeping and nursing. Secure that ASAP.

*kicks staff away* D:<

Wish I could be there... at least in the corner to tell them to blow off. That way it wouldn't be on your shoulders.

I got about 2 hours or so of sleep last night and it came by me literally having her on my chest. None of the nurses really said anything dang finicky hospital staff....

I did it anyway with mine. There's a reason the hospital beds have railings. xD

I held Terra all the time, but I think being a first time parent I was frightened of sleeping with her for her sake. So it was mostly her sleeping on me and me staring in awe.

Truthfully I still wake and check on her several times during the night to make sure she's still breathing. Can't help it! >.>

Hope you make it home today Jaz! Let me know if the package arrived and if the outfit looks to fit Ellie. With how long she is I went ";___;". They're both 0-3, but I got them to be worn now anyway since you said she needed warmer things. Fingers crossed!!

We got the package shortly after arriving home the mail man came... They will fit :D Might even be a little big she is swimming still in newborn stuff....

We tried to put one of her cloth diapers on her today and wound up taking it off cause she is swimming in those too! >_<;; The one we tried went over her cord stump and I don't want that getting wet!

So how did everything all work out? I remember you talking about all of the timings for things. It seemed like a pretty tight schedule.

I'm glad it all went smoothly though and that you're home with the new baby and back with your kids! :)

She should fill out more in a few days. It always amuses me how squished babies are at first, and then they plump up and their newborn pictures start to look foreign.

Were they ever really that small? D:

I still remember exactly what matthew looked like when he was born. we actually used to call him monchichi because he looked like one a bit with his spiky hair!

I'm relieved they'll fit! I would have gotten her cuter stuff, but I thought the cloth diapers and bottle stuff was more important. Additional spoiling comes later I reckon.

The white one was a newborn size, and the other was a "one size fits all". When I saw how big the pink one was (meaning I reckon Terra could have worn it!!) I knew it would take a bit for her to fill it. The white one will hopefully be good to go in a week or so, once she gets the plump-up like Mellie says.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee... new baby!

I am hoping her cord nub falls off soon... That is my only worry about the newborn cloth diapers, they are too long so they cover her belly button... I haven't gotten a really close look at the ones you sent Chi. Though Dillon was laughing at the one-size-fits all dipe it is almost the same size as Ellie!

The outfits are plenty cute Chi and we appreciate the diaper/bottle help a TON!!! <3

Empress- my mom wound up helping out in the end for which I am extremely thankful because the other options we had was extremely complicated and didn't make me feel comfortable that the boys were in the best situation.

Ever since moving out I've noticed that my mom has been there for me a lot more. But a lot of that is probably living so far away. xD She wants to help out when she can...though really I think she needs more help than we do. >.> I worry about my mother, living out there all alone. *sigh* That house is too big for just one mommy.

Cassie- I'm totally impressed you remember what he looked like as a newborn. xD I can hardly remember what the twins looked like. I see pictures and I'm like woah...they were so red and squishy! Kura I just remember thinking she was the most beautiful baby I'd ever seen. What she looked like is now completely beyond me.

I think the mother daughter dynamic just needs its space. I know I do much better with my mom when we haven't seen each other for a while. who knows... she told me once she thinks we fights so much because she has higher standards for me. she said she knew she was raising a future woman and she wanted me to be strong enough when I grew up. I don't think I'll ever forget that moment to be honest...

I don't think I'll ever forget what matthew looked like lol. Or andrew. my mom doesn't think I remember but I remember him too and I remember thinking he was mine >.> like my doll... I was weird >.<

I remember my sisters birth...in a way. I remember my grandma taking me to the hospital to see my mom and my new sister, but really I just remember wanting to see my mom. I really don't remember much about Carolyn.

My mom once told me that she was proud of how my sister and I turned out. Because she thinks we're so much stronger than her. I told her we're not, we just act like it. She said that's enough sometimes. And it probably is. But I don't think of my mother as a week woman. She's endured a lot, and she hasn't complained about it.

I really don't know that I'll ever be as strong as my mom. I don't think I could ever do some of the things she's done. Like taking care of my grandmother the way she did. It would break my heart to see my mom fall apart physically and I just don't think I could keep it together enough to still take care of her the way she did my grandma. I do think your mom's right though. sometimes acting like it really is enough.

Andrew I really remember. Matthew I remember more. probably odd but I was in the delivery room and watched him come out.. so.. that memory is just going to stick with me forever.

Kids weren't allowed in at the hospital my mom went to. And she probably wouldn't have let us in anyway, which is most likely a good thing. I don't want to see someone give birth. The thought horrifies me. Almost as much as a nurse holding up a mirror while I'm giving birth. >.> Some things I can just go with out seeing and I'm sure my life will still be pretty complete.

You and Andrew are...3 years apart? I can't stop thinking of Matthew as a 7 year old, so I have no idea how old he is now. xD I just remember thinking he was so young and cute the last time I saw him. I refuse to believe that he's a teenager now. I just won't allow it!

I hope to be as strong as my mom. >.> I don't know that I could deal with the emergency room trips she's had to take with us. I pray that my children never break bones because Lord knows I'll flip and not have a clue as to what I should do for them. >.<

I was the one that wanted to go so badly. I begged the doctor and wrote this short essay about why he should let me be present in the room. my mom was always ok with it. I was 13 already when matthew was born so the doctor let me stay but he warned me that I couldn't leave. I handled it pretty well, it really didn't gross me out or anything. no fainting.

andrew and i are 3 years apart. matthew and I are 13 years apart. he actually just turned 13 this past sept. He was all happy to be a teen. He's taller than me now! not that it's really hard to be taller than me lol. but still I remember him being so tiny! and sometimes when matthew falls asleep on the couch he still plays with his hair the way he used to while drinking a bottle. it's so cute.

I don't think I could deal with broken bones either and sadly I know that's where its headed for me. shaun's going to have them be just that crazy and outdoorsy. I'm scared!

I'm so worried about having them here in Kodiak. I almost slip daily on ice. I don't know how they manage not to. Their balance can't be that much better than mine can it? xD But it scares me still because of how many other kids around here have slipped and fallen because of the ice...and then it's so hard to walk around in a cast with crutches if it's icy! It's just asking for another slip/fall! This place is horrifying!

I would be scared too! Maybe they don't have as hard of a time because they have lower centers of gravity? i say make them where puffy clothes. It'll soften the bow if they fall! lol. not really but it would be funny. is the ice really that bad out there? Might be a dumb questions, still just wondering. I imagine schools are breaking ice off of the ground constantly for safety reasons.

The ice is horrible here. Even at the school there is this rather large area on the play ground that is just covered in ice. Almost thick enough to skate on...It's horrifying. And kids want to do nothing more than slip around on it!

They do wear puffy clothes. Snow pants, puffy jackets, snow boots...these kids have more clothes than I do!
