yeah super scary :( And I hated our doctor. I mean it makes sense with a serious injury that they'l pull the kid aside alone and ask them questions but I didn't really want to leave him even with doctors and nurses.

Poor baby :'( at least she is relatively ok...

Sean has be majorly awesome at injuring himself... He nearly severed his big toe at Terra's age... O_o he decided the candle I had on a stand I thought was out of his reach would look better in pieces on the floor... The candle's container flipped and hit his big toe with it's newly broken edge... I believe I even have a picture of it somewhere on FB though it was AFTER they had glued it back together... >_> He pulled the glue off like 5 times (I bought liquid bandaid cause I didn't feel it necessary to take him back to urgent care!)

He also had a perpetual horn bump where he constantly knocked himself :P

Mikes on the other hand only had one MAJOR injury when he was 4/5 months... He was in a walker and pushed himself into my mom's pellet stove... And burned his poor little baby hand :'( I still feel wretched for leaving him for the 30 seconds I did to go potty... No thanks to my mom who sat in the ER with me screaming about how it was all my fault and I shouldn't have left him etc...

He was better at getting sick... Or ingesting things he shouldn't have :/

I'm lucky that this was her first episode of anything other than a small bump or bruise. x.x I don't want to deal with worse. *shudder* It comes with kids, though, so I might as well brace myself.

I need to do daycare paperwork today, as I plan on enrolling her March 1st, where she'll be 18 months. I'm nervous for it, but I need those two 4-hour periods to study for my CPCE/do homework. Believe it or not, I've coasted by grad school this far by relying on my undergrad studies. I do my assignments, and that's about it. :/ But the classes this semester are things I've not had experience in, and I need to be there mentally 100%. Or at least more than the 50% I've been giving.

Speaking of schooling, I'm feeling deflated in general. My husband's curriculum is pretty strict, and they just... up and make new demands that they have to comply with. Seemingly randomly. For example, the place he'll do his clinical at this semester is 90 miles away. They expect all students to drive down there the day before clinical to get their patient assignments. They didn't tell him this until today. Initially they were supposed to do clinical locally, which they changed on them last minute. Apparently people don't have schedules?

So he'll leave here at 8am, get to class by 9am, have lecture until 11:30am, then work 1pm-5pm. I have class at 7pm. There's no way he can get his assignments, and get back in time. Never mind the fact how exhausting a day it will be for him in general. It was going to be heavy enough for him to come home at 5:45pm and take Terra until 10:30pm while I'm at class.

Now that it's switched, I yet again have to juggle everything and take her to class with me until he can get in. I worry that it comes down to whose studies are more important. They're equally important, but I can't keep up the mental distraction that I've had since Terra's birth. I can't take a diagnosis and treatment planning class unless I'm getting it.

He's written letters to the department heads over break about the other issues he and his peers are having, but no one's doing anything other than, "ohai! u no hapii? sry." We'll see what happens when he writes another fiery bomb today. It's not that he doesn't respect that the program is demanding, but that they are breaking promises and expectations they had when these people signed up for the curriculum. The changes make things extremely difficult to complete.

Sorry. I'm whiny. :( I'm just anxious. I know it will smooth out. We've managed it this far, and we'll be able to pull through for another year.

When I was little, I used to hit my head on everything. I went to the ER so many times. Of course, I don't remember any of this because I was too little. Also, I got ear infections. I was a very expensive baby. LOL.

@ chi: that's horrible! Did the school at least give a reason for why they were changing clinical stuff on him?

I never had any serious injuries. I'm really not sure how I managed that. I'm a very accident prone person. But nothing past cuts and bruises ever seemed to happen to me. I'm terrified of my kids break bones. I think I'd freak out...

Hello everyone! I only got expensive when i was in my freshmen year of high school. I ended up with a very sever case of phnemonia... so bad that i was lucky to be alive. If we would have waited another night i would have been gone in the morning. Since that day i have had to sleep with a bi-pap or a C-pap machine because i have sleep apnea... which sucks because my dog loves eating my mask... now i have to find a way to get another one -pouts-

@Empress
Yep. He managed to talk to someone today, and it's political. So essentially he and the other students are being used as a "statement" to the local hospital. The local hospital received a grant from another organization, and because they received money they offered the best spots to the grant organization's students. Fair, right? Well, my husband's university is refusing to make additional accommodations (ex: all students said they'd be cool doing it on a Saturday, and their instructor said she'd do it as well if it helped) to "make the hospital realize they can't dump them".

Sigh.

But, the issue I was mostly upset about has been sorted out for the most part. They won't have to drive the 90 miles to get down there the night before they actually do their clinical work. They can get their patient info over the phone so long as it's done anonymously. They'll just get the care plan, but not get the person's name, age, sex, etc. until they are physically at the hospital setting the following morning.

tldr; It's fine now, just annoying they still have to travel so far to do their actual clinical. We're okay because it's just a year and a half left, and we're both done. It's going to be worth the stress and hassle, especially with the economy being the mess it is right now. :/

It's good that part was all sorted out. I can't imagine at all how tiring that schedule would have been so it sounds like that alone helps a lot.

figures it'd be a political situation. :( but schools do have to play those sorts of games sadly :/ I've seen similar happen to students out where I am. Especially physician assistant students. their clinical hours are always screwed over because of neighboring cities.

Yep, they do love to play those games. I ended up advocating heavily in 2011 when my university backed away from their promises. So far, it's worked out on my group's behalf. I don't think the faculty likes me too much, though. I don't mind so long as I can get the education I need for the degree. Blah.

At least it's sorted out and the semester won't be extra crazy... just crazy. xD

It's not too bad over here. I got jalapeno in my eye earlier, that sucked. It's still lingering! But the Mexican caviar is well worth it. :XD I'm waiting for my husband to come home (another hour) then I'm getting on the treadmill. My mother is coming over to do a load of laundry and visit the baby.

How are things there?

Ouch! jalapeño in eyes isn't fun. I've done that once before. And once with lemon juice but that one wasn't so bad.

That was a potent pepper. o.o I ate some of the stuff later on and it had a huuuuuuge bite to it, not at all like how it usually comes out. Tasty though.

Yesterday must have been meatloaf day or something... I made meatloaf crammed with veggies :D I had to hide them so the naughty 3 year old would eat them without knowing /evil and conniving... and he did too :D and it was quite tasty too!

totally off subject....I came up with an AWESOME idea yesterday... Not a million dollar idea but an awesome idea none the less... :D Dillon and I have been trying to figure out what we are going to do with this house... Whether we should continue paying on it and just live here, rent it, or put it on the market again... While talking with my sister yesterday she mentioned changing her major to Early Childhood Education rather then Secondary Education. And I warned her of my own findings... Basically that in this town you either apply in the school district (which you all know my feelings about them) or you make minimum wage with no benefits. As we were talking I was just struck with the idea of turning this place into a full daycare! I have two bathrooms and several really weird rooms... But as a daycare this place would almost make complete sense! Using the upstairs for younger kids and downstairs for older (since the kitchen is downstairs!)... My mom even told me I should buy her house live there and work from home... I'd LOVE that my mom has a BEAUTIFUL house bigger then mine, and a HUGE yard that is already fenced and established :D but I think she said she would only take 139k and when we moved here we were only approved for 75k and they went back on that after we started looking more seriously at this house and told us no more then 70k. We bought this house for 69.9k cause Dillon fails at "haggling" I think we could have got the house for 55k... Or maybe less...

Scott fails at haggling too. I'm sure that if he did it, or the realtor would have realized that I was the fighter not him, we wouldn't be 30k underwater with our house right now. Speaking of, our renters haven't paid rent this month, and I'm pretty livid about that too. rawr. Fucking slackers. Pay your damn rent! It's already WAAAAY less than it should be. (Also because people don't believe I'm the decision maker so when my husband says "k" they jump. fucking fail.) Anyway, I need to be tougher on these people I'm paying to do stuff for me. I keep telling myself that...but I feel like they're all just going behind my back and asking my husband stuff and he's always like "k" rawr.

What we were talking about? Right. EWWWWW. Meatloaf. *gag* No offense to anyone, I'm sure your meatloaves are fab...but I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. xD

I hope you're able to do the day care Jazzy. That would be totally awesome! :D

I always get really psyched up when I come up with ideas like doing these type of things... I really would like a "work from home" environment. But I don't like the idea of having kids IN my home so turning our home into a childcare and moving else where would be ideal. I just hope I can keep the positive attitude about it though I always give up when things start to look negative... Maybe even having my sister and I do the OFFICIAL training for a Montessori would be awesome!!! There are no Montessori daycares in southern Colorado... But I think my sister and I differ on our childhood beliefs though...

Not all meatloaves are created equal... :P my mom made very bland gross meatloaf... But mine is a doctored version of hers it isn't ever just a giant chunk of meat...

I've just always hated meatloaf. I've had maybe 6 different kinds and they all make me gag in the first few bites. I don't like meat stuffed peppers either. If I'm going to have a hunk of ground beef, it better be just teh damn ground beef, cooked and between two buns. Any other way: no thank you. xD

I shall give you encouragement when you feel things getting negative. (:
