We have an attic, but I wouldn't trust myself to get up there. That, and there aren't outlets. Or windows. Boo.

I'd love to have a house with a loft-type attic some day. I think it'd be a nice play space for the kids.

I'm not sure how I want my eventual house to look like, but I do know I want a huge kitchen and a huge bathroom. I love to cook and struggle when I don't have enough counter space.

I know what you mean! I've lived in far too many places with kitchens that were unbearable. The one we have now has enough cabinet space but not enough counter space (and one of the counters doesn't have wall outlets, which makes it pretty useless).
We don't have a garbage disposal either. It's not unbearable, just annoying since we don't have a dishwasher either. Keeping food from going down the drain can be quite a chore xD

/ begin crazy mama rant
Jazzy feels like she is falling apart at the seams... I can't stand what has become my life anymore... Not the kids or Dillon just everything else around me... T_T...
My house has gone from my safe haven to my own personal hell in only a few months. Since Michael started scouts I see him MAYBE a couple of hours a week between his dad and my sister taking him to EVERY FLIPPING SCOUT ACTIVITY OUT THERE!!! He spends at least 3 days a week at scouts most of them during the weekend and the time that he is SUPPOSE to be seeing his dad so his dad requests make up time (which I can totally understand but where the flip is my make up time... ) so 3 days for scouts and 3 days for make up to his dad... And I am usually left with the 4.5 hours on WED and that is all.... Dillon gets even less time... And many Wednesdays my sister comes over to do this project or that with him that he needs for scouts the next week... Then my sister is here at LEAST 80% of my week... I don't know if I mentioned it but I can't STAND my sister... She is arrogant and RUDE.... And tells my kids CONSTANTLY that they are angels... Particularly when I am scolding them for doing something wrong... Then there is my brother... I am so tired of him living here... I can't stand it... He has yet to find a job... He eats ALL DAY... Thank god for my mom, she started buying him groceries so he eats those in between meals instead of eating everything I have in stock... He comes and goes without real warning. He drinks, which is his age but damn it I have kids here don't come home smelling like booze... I feel like a prisoner... I can't do as I like in my home now... Bryan is suppose to do the dishes and keep the kitchen up, but he will wait until the last dang minute, just before I get ballistic angry before he will actually do it all... And what flippin sucks is he does such an awesome job when he does do it that I feel BAD for getting angry in the first place....
Add to that, now my LESS THEN TWO YEAR OLD washing machine is broken and I had to borrow $40 from what we had set aside for Michael and Sean to get school clothes next year to do less then a weeks worth of clothes... LESS THEN A WEEK... Dillon gets paid in a few days and I am hoping to pay it back... I need to call today to see how much it is going to cost to get it repaired.... And that fun little price tag is going to have to go on a credit card... At least I am hoping to find someone who takes credit cards... My shower is dripping, my water pressure has mysteriously started to dwindle to nothing... And for yet another year I am going to have to put off starting a yard and getting the driveway put in... Much of the last part is my own fault... I feel like I've been fighting an angry depression which makes me not want to do anything for myself of my family... And so we squandered a LOT of money on eating out in the last couple of months. Now with Ellie getting sick and probably teething, she never letting me put her down, I am at the end of my rope... All she does is scream if I put her down... Dillon tried to give her a bottle the other day and she almost drowned... T___T The nipple isn't dripping she just bites it and flat REFUSES to swallow the milk that comes out when she does after two or three bites she has a mouth full and then will try to SCREAM... We had to use her nose sucker to clear her throat... And now Dillon refuses to try again out of fear... T_T I need an escape sooo bad... I was hoping we could get her to take the bottle and I could pump a bit for her so that someone could watch her for a few hours on our anniversary this week... :'( It doesn't look like that is happening... This is probably not all of what has been swimming though my mind the last few months but it is all I can dredge up right now... I am physically and emotionally spent...
/end rant
In other news Bryan has an interview today please everyone fingers crossed he gets the job... That would mean only one more month to him getting an apartment!!!!

The kitchens I've had have all been decent sized kitchens...but I still want a larger kitchen. xD Bathrooms on the other hand have always been small. I want a tub that I can soak in and aaaaahhhhh not I can either have my legs in or my back. >.<
Fingers crossed for your brother Jazzy!
...if it doesn't work out, you can always kick him out. I find that guests staying more than two weeks really piss me off...even by the end of two weeks I'm ready for them to leave. 10 days is probably my real limit. Home should be a safe haven for you, not another cause of stress.

Let's see... Mikes being away more than home, money issues scattered from multiple directions, an inability to have a free moment to yourself due to a needy nurser, a PITA sister in your face, a PITA brother who is using you for an easy ride... yep. I'd be pretty [email protected]#$(*$ insane.
I'm crossing fingers for your brother's interview. Call around a few repair places. We got our washer repaired for $120 with labor, and they accepted credit card. Just ask before setting up an appointment. It should be fine there! (Not that it makes the expense less stressful and scary.)
Your home is your safe haven. Rather, it should be. I don't think there's an easy solution to everything going on. Money is one of the biggest stressors there are, and we can't make it magically appear. And family? We're stuck with family, and gathering the strength to get your space back is going to take a lot out of you, especially where you're feeling spent already..

That is very true Mellie... He's a big one because I really don't get a break from him... Unfortunately I can't in good conscience kick him out... :/
I called the only place I know if in town that fixes large appliances. He does take credit cards (THANK GOD) and I shouldn't run into the problems with my Visa like I had when we were fixing the water meter and the intake from the city line...(We borrowed my sister in laws credit card and the company did take credit cards just not Discover credit cards **rolls eyes**)... I am trying to gain the motivation to pull the knobs off of the shower so I can take them down to the plumbing store and ask for replacement cartridges... I also need to take apart something else, but I just can't seem to remember what that thing was.... Not to mention I need to go to the store... I plain don't want to move from this spot... Ellie has been extra miserable today...I can feel Dillon's stress too... He say he thinks it is sleeping with Ellie that is putting us both on edge all the time... :/ He says that we both felt that way until Sean was sleeping in his own bed... Which honestly wasn't that long into it cause he flat HATED sleeping in our bed with us... Ellie on the other hand is going to be VERY hard to break I think... She won't nap unless in the car or in my arms (not daddies MINE) she wants to be right up under me the whole night... So I am quite fearful of trying to break her of it... But I suppose I need to try... He bassinet has gone mostly unused and she is going to outgrow it here VERY shortly and her playpen is by our bed already...So I guess I need to get my butt in gear... Maybe if I can motivate myself to get off this couch I will feel better....

It's been a few years since I had a place with a bathtub at all... I seem to get stuck in places that just have a single shower. The one we have currently is probably the worse, there's no light in it so anything but a clear curtain will make it dark, and it doesn't have a bench for me to sit down on. Blah. :/

Just about everywhere we've rented has only had a shower stall area. I despise it! And then not only is it just a shower stall, but it's got doors and I hate shower doors! Our bathroom in E-City originally had the tub and shower doors on it. We removed the doors and put up a curtain. I hate the look of doors!
I have seen these cool colorful LED showerheads though! You turn on the water and the light with them and you've got "colorful" water! That might take care of your lighting issue. Memowell SH2026 Handheld 7 Color Lighted Showerhead- Fading Transition

We have a huge tub here, but... this isn't my house. I am enjoying it immensely while I'm here, however!
The kitchen space isn't so bad, but I want more. That sounds horrible. >.> I don't mean to say I'm unhappy with what I have. I mean to say that if given the opportunity to build a house, it will be huge. :3

lol I totally get you Chi. I was quite happy with the kitchen size in E-city, but if I could remodel it, I'd remove the hall closet we had and extend the dining room, so that I could extend the kitchen. >.>
I just want a colorful shower head cuz they're pretty! :D

Speaking of showers and kitchens I so fixed our kitchen sink pressure... We had a water saving spiggoty thing on our Moen sink head which looked absolutely UGLY BTW... And I got the bright idea that maybe just maybe it was that little piece causing the problems... And low and behold... IT WAS!!! I know that this wasn't suppose to happen with the water saver cause it just started having problems at the beginning of the winter...
After fixing that I started pulling apart the shower knobs to see about fixing the infernal DRIPPING... Only to find I wasn't strong enough (more like brave enough) to try to get the cartridge out. So I took the knob part out to the plumbing store and they gave me new pieces and also told me that it may be dripping because of something further into the piping then just the cartridge... Picked up two of everything, and headed to go get Dillon... Got Dillon home and he fixed up the shower the rest of the way... And it did indeed need the extra little pieces I picked up cause it kept leaking when we replaced the cartridges... Dillon started getting mad but turned out good in the end...
I also tried to fix Sean's haircut... In doing so I had to cut the hair REALLY high off his neck (he wiggled when Dillon was doing it and there was a big GOUGE out of his hair in the back) so I figured to make it less obvious, I would trim his hair down shorter.... In process somewhere I forgot to put on the level 1 blade shield so now, Sean is Bald :P
I feel a little bit better now that I used some of my anger was used to get stuff done that I've been meaning to do...
On that note I would LOVE to have a bigger kitchen and MUCH bigger bathrooms... One bathroom I can touch both walls by sitting on the toilet with a foot in the tub one on the floor >_< bathroom design fail.... I want to remodel EVERYTHING... Honestly I want to eventually build my own house.... :)

I think our bathroom used to be a closet. I'm pretty sure this home was built before 1950, and it's been converted into three separate units. The kitchen is so ugly and the appliances are all smelly (especially the microwave). The stove sparker things don't work either, I'm afraid that one day we're going to blow the house up trying to light it by hand.
The only other issue is that hubby likes to hoard "project supplies" so I don't have nay storage space for my own things. He moved here in May and I moved in that the end of November, which means he got first pick on where to put his things. Most of my belongings are still in boxes (mind you, when I moved I could fit everything I owned in my tiny car).
I've slowly been throwing stuff away while he's at work though, especially clothes. His wardrobe is probably twice the size of mine. He's got some really really old clothes that are damaged or simply don't fit.
Otherwise the apartment is about the perfect size, square-footage wise. It's just poorly laid out and we need more shelving.

My house was built in 1908... :P I am SURE my bathrooms were once a linen closet and a pantry... And I am not sure what the other half of the downstairs was... Because bedroom closets didn't exist back then everything was french closets that I can't spell the name of... Of the "5" rooms that could be classified as "bedrooms" we only truly have 3. Since in our state a room is not a bedroom unless it has a closet.... In my own personal opinion only two of those 3 should have EVER been considered such since one "bedroom" covers the entire LENGTH of our house and could better be used as a living room then AnYthing...

I lived in a house like that once, but we intentionally converted one of the THREE living rooms into a bedroom, because the actual bedrooms were all tiny. There were SIX people in that house, and officially there were only three bedrooms. We converted an office into a bedroom and then hubby and I shared the living room that we converted.
That place had the SMALLEST kitchen out of everywhere I've lived. And the MOST people. It was terrible. We kept an extra fridge in the garage xD
Otherwise, the house and the property were pretty big. Definitely perfect for a college house. The garage was used as project space and alcohol storage, one living room was for computer desks and the other for couches and a tv, plus two of our housemates had tvs in their bedrooms upstairs. There was also a really small dining room but we didn't use it for much. It had a mini-fridge and a toaster oven though.

This place has a decent sized kitchen it is just awkwardly shaped and it has no real formal dinning room which is REALLY odd for the era....Which I guess could be because what we use as the living room would have probably have been the dinning room and the bedroom downstairs probably would have been the meeting room type thing.... Bedrooms in most 100 year old homes (at least around here) are enormous compared to newer homes... We looked at a 3 bedroom in a newer neighborhood and if this house would have fallen through we would have bid on this house, but it was TINY all the way around... I would have had to separate the boys beds because the ceilings weren't tall enough for bunk beds... And the rooms weren't big enough for two twin beds...... My queen size would have eaten all the space in the master bedroom as well.... What was kind of nice was it was a finished basement, and it had a HUGE yard, just full of weeds :/ but the house was tini tiny

I think this house is finally starting to kick the head cold/sinus infection mess. My ears are the only lingering issue.
I have been working on coursework as much as I can since last week, and I've barely scratched the surface for what needs to be done on Saturday. Somehow I misplaced my syllabus, thus I don't know if I have to present. Hopefully the instructor gets back to me today or tomorrow so I can have enough time to get ready. Meh. I went from feeling ill over it to being numb. It will either get done or it won't. Me not turning into a basket case is more important.
Terra's coloring... (highly supervised, mind ) I need to get the dishes caught up at some point, and get her laundry sorted/put away. It's just us today as Cole has his long clinical shift. Now that I'm back at work we'll be to bed before he gets home. >.>

Our trip to missouri was fun. jacob only threw up about four times and kaleb once on the way there. not sure if he ate something bad or what. but Kaleb throwing up was just car sickness. other than that everything went ok. thank goodness. i was scared to death of having an accident or something. We did see several wrecks and had to drive through some heavy rain in Kansas City, that was scary! Hopefully we don't have go out there again for awhile.
Talking about houses... ours was built in 1907! they added on twice as far as i know and dug the basement under after the house was built. i wish the basement was bigger. They say we have three bedrooms, two up stairs and one down. But the downstairs doesn't have a closet; the closet is in the living room down there. there also isn't any door on the "bedroom" and it has like these windows things that you can see through to the living room. if one of the boys ever move down there i'll have to put curtains up or something. our main living room is supposed to be a living/ dining room but hubby is silly and is using the whole room for a living room. we even have a cute little china cabinet built in, so i looks kinda funny. my only problem really is that our bedroom is at the front of the house so you see people drive by at night. :P and the kitchen is small! we plan on getting new counter-tops and a new sink soon. and hopefully we'll get a better fridge this weekend!
So another thing i'm excited about is i finally get to see an eye doctor! :boogie: i haven't been since 2008 and i'm sure i need new glasses. the last person i went to made my prescription waaay to weak and she treated me like crap because i had medicaid. i kinda want someone to go and help me pick out some glasses, well put in their in-put. hopefully hubby will stay out there and help me pick some! (going to the walmart one, lol)

My kids are being impossible today. They have one goal it seems and that's to completely ignore my existence. I've asked them to clean their rooms...and they're actually making their rooms messier. They want their friends to spend the night...but if they did spend the night they'd have NO WHERE to sleep! I'm just so uuuuuugh. Done with this! I was planning an outing to the exchange: rent a movie, grab snacks, etc. Alas, The kids don't want to let me be fun mom, they only want to allow me to be raging ball of anger mom. ;-; I really don't feel like cleaning their rooms myself so they can have people over...but tomorrow Scott and I are hosting our annual pie day party and I want the house to look nice for that so chances are...I'll be cleaning their rooms regardless. did I mention uuuuugggh?
On the plus side, I don't work tonight, which means I don't have to work with Kayla, who while completely sweet and totally competent...likes country music. I can't stand country music, yesterday was the first day that I realized it affects me emotionally and physically. While the day went awesome: I didn't make a single mistake while dealing with customers, I felt so drained beyond anything I'd felt from the first 3 days of working (where we were listening to alternative rock mostly) I could feel the music just sucking away my life force by the end of the night, I'd stopped caring about a lot of things and I couldn't get my tallies to come out right for my drawer at the end. First I was $80 over, then $20 short, then spot on, which lasted until we tried to figure out what I needed change wise for the drawer after making the initial deposit it was...such a trying night. Country music...it's out to kill me. Luckily for me her hubby was kicked out of the Coast Guard and so they're only here for another month or so. I know, I'm horrible for saying that, and she really is a sweet girl...but damn, I just can't do it! D:

Hey there Meow!~ Congrats on your bundle-to-be! How far along are you?
