lol...with wide screen, though, you do get the complete picture, whereas with full screen, you don't see what's happening on the very right and left sides.

*yawns and stretches after crawling out of bed* Oh man... nothing like a nice long sleep to make everything seem so much better. And luckily I can relax until I have to get some regular clothes on and go out and water the damn plants again so they don't die in this heat. x.x

but directors know this, so nothing important happens over there. and I just HATE the black bars. ugh. my hubby wants to get a wide screen tv, but then you still have the bars with the movies! it just [isses me off. if imma buy a wide screen tv make the damn movie fit the screen.

why are you going to wear regular clothes to water the plants? i go out in my pajamas all the time. specially when i was pregnant. heck when i was pregnant with my twins i couldnt do anything in regular clothes because they didnt fit. sooo i went everywhere in my pajamas. it was awesome. and quite comfy.

Cause of two things:
1) I burn to a crisp. Half an hour without my skin covered by CLOTHING(sunscreen does so little its a waste of money), and I'm red as a tomato.
2) My PJs consist of boxers and a tshirt and I'm sure the neighbors would not appreciate having to see my pasty white legs. :p

O.o wow. even with a high spf?
i have to continuously apply it to make sure that i dont burn. im quite white as well. i use baby sun screen since it has the highest spf i can find. XD
my friends and i all went out together at one point and bought winter pajamas to have together. it was fun. so now in the winter we would have pajama parties and all match. XD perhaps you should go out and get long sleeved/long pant pajamas. theyre really quite comfortable. except that they get annoying when youre actually sleeping in them. xD

I'm the same way - I have really fair skin so I burn easily.
Today, my little girl got her first shiner. It all happened so quickly! One minute, she's sitting on my lap and we're watching "Over the Hedge" and the next minute, there's a BAM and then a THUD as she topples off my lap to the floor, hitting her cheek on the coffee table on the way down. And then of course came the WAAAAHHHHH!!!! It sounded like it hurt! Poor thing. She's just so squirmy and active and just lost her balance!
I hope her cheek doesn't look too bad in the morning!

I'm a first time mom to a beautiful little 1 year old girl. :)
- She's a handful at times, I'm still learning a few things here and there. Kekekee.... I know we all say it but being a mom really changes your life. My hubby is already asking me when we can have our next one. I think we should wait like 5 years... lol! i really don't want to go through another pregnancy so soon. Not to mention what it does to your hips. :P

Hey Juanalene! I'm actually on my way to bed right now, but wanted to welcome you to the thread first. It's nice to meet other parents who play on sites like this. Is your daughter right around 12 months? Mine's 19, going on 20 months. You're right about it changing your life! I can't imagine having a second one right now, though we'll probably start trying when she's 3 or 4.
Anyhow, I'm off to bed! Goodnight!

psssh my hips were fine after all 3 of mine were born. XD i say wait until the first is potty trained before having another. and not right after they get potty trained because then regression is really easy for them to get into when some major change happens (like a new baby) unless the pregnancy just happens. like mine. XD i wanted to wait until she was potty trained no such luck. XP
awwwww is she walking yet?

<3 on the plus side, at their age theyre falling alot and getting bruised is normal. so people wont think youre an abusive parent. well, other parents wont think youre abusive at least XD
thats pretty much how my toddlers first bruise happened as well. i felt so horrible and like such a bad mom for letting her fall. (as if i had control over it XP) and to make it worse she had a dr appointment in two days time! but the dr just laughed when i told him the story. i was so scared he would say i was beating her. T.T

@Aliena: Aww, poor baby! When my daughter was little she was a climber. She managed to get in to the top of the closet once. Anyway, I had left her to play in the floor in her room. I didn't think anything of it. There was nothing she could get to that would hurt her in any way and I left the door cracked a bit and ran to the bathroom. When I came out she was standing like King Kong with one foot on the crib rail and the other on the wall. I guess I surprised her when I came in because she lost her balance and instead of falling in or off the crib she landed on the railing and of course here I am trying to do the mommy dive to catch her before she falls. She ended up with a line shaped bruise right between her eyes. I felt horrible.
@melody: Yes, lol, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It feels like when you finally get closer to the light the tunnel changes direction and you're back in the dark. At least that is how it is now that my oldest is a teenager. I want to know who switched my tunnel! *stomps foot*
@WitheredInnocence: I go outside all the time in my pajamas. I figure I've seen my neighbor, who believes herself to be the most beautiful woman in town, in her pajama bottoms, tank top, and slippers, I can't be all bad (although she did run in the house rather quickly ;))
@Juanalene: *poke poke* Is that really you?! Welcome stranger! How are you? Alot of parents say to have the kids close together in age. Mine are 5 years apart and there is a world of difference between how they act to each other and how I've seen other siblings closer in age act.
Tonight we made sugar cookies and I let the kids make the frosting and everything. Well, my son helped make the frosting and the cookies. My daughter just came out when they were ready to eat :D

lol damn construction workers. changing everything on people. T.T
lol i try to have my toddler help with making cookies or brownies or anything and the batter just ends up on her face. XD i used to help my mom make them alot though, and pretty much everyone else would just come out of their holes, i mean rooms when the cookies were done. it was so annoying to see my hard work scarffed down by people that didnt care. what was the name of that little chicken who made the bread all by herself?

OK so I have to ask... did any of you guys have nightmares while pregnant about something happening to the baby? Man, I've been plagued for over a week and a half with not a single night of good solid sleep because of them. And they almost always end the same way... something happens and I either miscarry or if the baby is already born in my dream, its dead by the end. It's driving me nuts and I know there isn't anything I can do about it... but I figured I'd ask to see just how common it is.
The dream I had last night was the worst one yet... I've been able to cope pretty well with the 'dead baby dreams', but last night the baby wasn't dead.... that was the problem. I was in this building... house... whatever... and I could hear the baby behind the door, crying and screaming and I couldn't get to them. The door was locked and even though it looked like wood, when I hit and kicked it, it felt as unforgiving as steel.
I woke up shaking, in tears, and curled into a ball around my own belly, with a charlie horse in my right calf... I think I was kicking in my sleep. x.x So have you guys had nightmares about your kids getting hurt? What is the worst one you can remember?

oh dear. i dont think i ever had a dream like that. @ [email protected]
when i was pregnant with my daughter i had a dream of walking around with her during an easter egg hunt and watching her twirl around in a pretty dres, which is why i was so sure i was having a girl even when the ultrasound was unclear as to her gender.
when i was pregnant with my twins i knew one was a boy becuase the night i got pregnant i dreamt of giving birth to a little boy.
have you had a check up recently? just to make sure everything is still going well with the pregnancy i would call your ob/gyn just to make sure.
(not that i think anything is wrong, just that for peace of mind i would call and make an appointment to get seen.) XP I dont think i would have been able to handle that sort of dream while i was pregnant.
*hugs* youre a stronger woman that i am. <3

*hugs back* I just went to a checkup today, and have them every two weeks for the next month... and then every week for the last month until I give birth :). It's hard to think the time has gone by so quickly! The doctor says the baby is doing just fine, and I'm due in for my sonogram on Monday, so hopefully we'll be able to see what the little one is then.
I had another nightmare last night... dont remember exactly what happened, but I remember it had me shaken up... it's a good thing I didn't have to work today, cause I had one helluva time getting back to sleep and I'm SO tired x.x
That's another thing... the past couple weeks it feels like my energy levels have dropped to 0. Man it sucks.

i think the only time i really had energy when i was pregnant was the second trimester. dring the first i was always exausted. and during the third it was hard to get out of bed even if i wanted to XD
wow, i didnt realize you were so far along! i remember going to the dr every 5 weeks then 4 weeks then 3 weeks then 2 weeks and then weekly. i hated it so much. because just being there made me nervous. that and they make you pee in the cup and i never had to pee when i was there. i just cant pee on command! D:
im glad everything is going well, and i cant wait to find out what the baby is! my first daughter was a surprise. she wouldnt let us see the gender i hope you have a more cooperative baby <3

lol I'm hoping this one is cooperative too... I just don't think I'll survive another few months without knowing :p There just isn't enough gender neutral stuff out there for babies! Not stuff that's cute, anyway. My first trimester sucked, but it was more because of the random achy chest, constant headaches that drove me to bed only because the only way to make them bearable was to curl up in the dark and the silence and wait for them to pass. And the hormones... man those were AWFUL(not that they're completely gone, but I'm a bit more able to cope with them now).

lol my hormones made me crazy. i would start crying for no reason and be completely inconsoleable. XD it was horrible. but pretty funny when you werent the one my emotion was directed at anyway. lol.
hormones are the worst part. im going to be a serroguate mother next jan or so im hoping, apparently yo uhave to inject yourself with hormones... im going to be crazy XD
for my first daughter because i didnt know the gender i went for duckies. theyre neutral and completely adorable on both boys and girls.
personally i found the first trimester to be the worst. but the third is a close second because the inability to be comfortable at all, ever was just too much for me. @ [email protected] i love my sleep and the kids just wouldnt allow it. T.T

my brother is coming in from virginia today. im so excited. my daughter melody (girl twin) is his god daughter and hes been in iraq the past 9 months and hasnt seen her yet XD perhaps now i can even get her baptized at some point. but, her dad is off in north carolina still, sooo... i hate working around military scheduales. its so difficult to get everyone in and at the same place at any given time.
over the past 3 years i think weve taken maybe 2 pictures with me and all my siblings in it. and thats pretty sad. XP
