Izumi- wow, their mom seems pretty controlling. o.o She afraid they'll like you more than her?

Mel - You could say that. I think part of it is the fact the kids seem to have taken to me better than her boyfriend, which she must find frustrating. Apparently she does have issues when it comes to sharing...surprise surprise. She's told their dad that if it was up to her we wouldn't see the kids again. In early stages, I tried to play the role of negotiator, and for awhile she seemed to be OK with talking to me but as soon as I suggested that step son come live with us (over his whole tonsil issue - something we haven't seen any problems with...but finally gave up and gave her permission to get his tonsils removed) instead of being operated on. He was struggling in school, and his time off due to his tonsil issues wasn't helping matters either.

What's also infuriating about her is she runs the kids up to the ER for the smallest of problems. If step daughter complains about a tummy ache she'll run her up there. Apparently she was like that during both pregnancies. The first one, since hubby was new at the whole thing he humored her and ran her up to the ER for the slightest of problems. The second time around he basically refused unless it was a life or death situation.

*sighs* To this day I said what did you see in that woman. He's literally replied he got her pregnant one of the first times she had sex, well before he found out he had very little in common and they were not compatible. Apparently she was going to find an excuse to break up with him and run away with the child. Sounds real mature doesn't it?

I'm glad I haven't had any children of my own yet. I'd hate to see how un-friendly my ex and I could get over custody. It's such a messy ordeal. I wish the step kids were my own. Hubby thinks we would be the perfect little family.

Its sweet that you love them so much Izumi. My husband has a step mother that pretty much took his dad away from him. Not that his dad was that awesome to begin with, but ya know, financial guilt once in a while wouldn't be a bad thing. lol. His dads also missed out on his grandkids because of her. I hope she's worth it. :/ But I like seeing good step parents. xD One of my grandmothers is a step, and she's quite awesome imo. I love her like she were related to me.
I can't stand people that rush their kids/themselves to the emergency room over every little thing. Seriously it drives me crazy, I baby sat for a mom that was like that. Of course, she was also a smoker. So her daughter had random issues ANYWAY. But it was to the point where she wanted me to save her daughters diapers so she could make sure there wasn't anything wrong with her digestive track. wtf? lol.
Are you planning on having some of your own later on?

Clair- yeah thanks. xD Had to double check something. >.>

I'm not entirely sure, Mel. Hubby says he likes the way things are right now, but at the same time he won't rule out having another kid with me as he knows the biological urge is strong. I'm kind of torn right now as he's paying 600 a month in child support alone and in order for us to get by I have to be bringing home something. I don't get the option of being a stay at home mom like I would like to, not to mention if hubby ever does get a promotion she'll be back in court to get her child support raised. *sighs*

I don't know how we would financially manage, but perhaps one day.

She sounds like a real winner Izumi. >.< Financial aspects are what stop a lot of people from having kids though. And it sucks. I randomly considered having another baby, but with time and money constraints its just not practical. xD That and I don;t know if I could manage the midnight feedings or crying with out an idea of what was wrong any more. >.> not to mention I feel spoiled not changing diapers anymore. lol. Babies are cute the first time the second time...you just want the toddler stage! (ok, maybe it was just me?)
To stave off the biological urge I'm being a surrogate, I get to be pregnant, and someone else gets to have the baby. xD win win!

Clair- :hug: Gotta keep an eye out for my underage menewshans!~

YIKES!!! SOOOOOO MUCH BACK READING... Ok better now...

I want to have another baby without being pregnant...Being pregnant is what has caused the problem with my thyroid to STILL be outta wack almost a year and a half AFTER giving birth... >.>;;

Then again having 3 month old Jayden drives me CRAZY on a daily basis... She is three months and already has jealousy issues... I pick up Sean and she WAILS... I put him down and she is fine... I don't get it... >.< I understand she is an only child but she is THREE MONTHS OLD!!!!

I don't mind diapers... or 1 AM feedings... It is the crying with no clue what is wrong that gets to me! T_T If Sean is crying it is one of only a few things... His brother hurt him... He fell... He's teething or he is hungry... If he is dirty and you can't smell it he takes matters into his own hands... LITERALLY.... O_o I am a living paradox I want another baby but I am TERRIFIED of having one... But the two I have are awesome little boys (so long as they aren't trying to kill each other LOL) when they want to be!

@Izumi... She sounds awful... I'd be ecstatic if my ex would just be devoted to his son long enough to make full child support payments for 6 months... Solid! It has never happened for more then two months much less 6! He is a good man if he cares enough for them to pay even when she is a witch!

My ex knocked up a 16 year old 3ish years ago who I believe is now in her late teens early 20's (can't keep track and don't honestly care to) and she has has two kids with him... He uses them as an excuse on a daily basis to not pay his child support... Unfortunately, just like any responsibility ignoring it and acting like it doesn't exist doesn't make it go away... Dishes will still be there tomorrow if I ignore them today... Just like Michael's pants will still be too short for him tomorrow if someone doesn't pay for them to be replaced... Sadly... That person has to be my husband and I!

Wow. What a great place!

I am actually expecting my first child in a couple of months.
Allie Faye is due December 10th, 2009 and I am just as happy as they come for now.

I have noticed that I have run into several parents on here compared to Gaia where everyone is 13- and doesn't have any plans for a child in a long time or ever. It's nice to have a place to brag about your kids and talk about your parenting concerns without feeling awkward about it.

Hey Kriddles! Congrats! That's exciting. Gaia had a parents guild or two, but they kinda died. Shortly after I joined no one was posting...so I didn't bother with the place. lolz.

Jaz- I like the being pregnant part...it keeps me from worrying monthly about getting pregnant! lolz. That and I feel like I glow when I'm pregnant/right after giving birth. I just like being pregnant. >.> But I don't have time for babies. xD They're too much work! lol.

You gotta break that baby of the jealously thing. Its not fair to your babies! They need love and cuddles too! My kids are kinda the same way though, if they see one of the others getting attention, they must have it too! The twins are the worst. >.<

Did your ex and the 16 year old get married? I knew a guy in high school that did that, they were a year above my class and he was dating my best friends sister...until he had sex with a 16 year old and her parents demanded they get married! It was...awkward for sure. And Disturbing. When you're an adult you do NOT have sex with 16 year olds! >< Maybe some day people will learn.

Hm... Why kind of cookies?
Clair's favorites are pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. :3
Clair's mom doesn't bake often, almost never.
She's not really one for cooking. >.>
Clair sorta wants to be that kind of mom- the one that bakes fresh cookies as surprises for the kids when they come home. I don't see it happening, though. I can't cook to save my life. >.>

Clair's mom only bakes Ginger Snaps. ^^
Those are yummy, but she only bakes those, and only once a year.

I don't know how to make ginger snaps. xD

I was thinking chocolate chip cookies, since I found some chocolate chips for a good price about a week ago. I like baking, and cooking. So long as I have a recipe. I wish I was one of those people that just knew how to make things. Jelly and Juru talk about making random things a lot...sometimes stuff I've never heard of, and they talk about substituting ingredients and and and...it makes me jealous. xD

@ Clair: Yes, she is definately a girl since she flaunted everything she had with the ultra-sound. Lol. We were goin with a long shot and saying it's 100% positive.

@ Melody: That really stinks. I hate it when things like that die out. D;
You should definately make cookies, in Texas it's unbelievably hot, so whenever I have to use the oven I just stick a fan or two in the kitchen with me.
