Those are the classic cookies, Melody!
Beloved by all who eat them! ^^

They're actually very hard.
They have an... intense recipe that you follow.
And take about... 8 hours to make. xD
You have to chill the dough before baking the cookies.
For about 6 hours... I think.//

Clair's favorite baked treat is actually a breakfast food, not really sweet.

@ Kriddles::
Congrats! ^^
When I have children some day, I hope to have both.
I want sons and daughters. ^^

Kriddles- xD It wasnt too bad, I wasn't too active on Gaia after I joined the guilds anyway, I think most of the people in there weren't parents anyway. >.>
On the other hand, I've kept this thread alive since 07, so hopefully it won't go anywhere. xD It goes through times of neglect when we're busy...but it always comes back. Like a bad rash. haha.
I think I should be getting pregnant around the time you're giving birth. xD Hurray!

Clair- at least it isn't 8 hours of work! I don't mind letting things chill, if they need to I'll generally make them the night before and let them sit in the fridge over night. :3 Its already really warm here today though. D: Maybe I'll turn on the air for a little while while the oven preheats/the cookies bake. >.>

@ Melody::
That's a good idea. ^^

My favorite baked good has to chill overnight. ^^
I get it once a year, but that makes it all the better.
My mom, Uncle and Aunt make it for me on Christmas Eve, and I get to have it Christmas Morning. It always makes me excited when I smell it cooking while we open our gifts. :boogie:

It's called Buck Eyed Brunch.
It's like a breakfast bar type idea.
You take a glass pan, layer the bottom with rye bread, then thin slices of ham and then a layer of cheese, then you add a special sauce made with eggs and few other things (not sure what) and when it cooks, the sauce becomes a glaze that holds the bar together. ^^

Maybe. :)
I'm not sure where my uncle and aunt got the recipe.
They tried it a few years ago, as a surprise breakfast thing on Christmas...
Now, it's our tradition every year.

I love my Christmas Family Tradition.
When I'm older, and have a family of my own, I'm going to continue the tradition.

You gotta break that baby of the jealously thing. Its not fair to your babies! They need love and cuddles too! My kids are kinda the same way though, if they see one of the others getting attention, they must have it too! The twins are the worst. >.<

Did your ex and the 16 year old get married? I knew a guy in high school that did that, they were a year above my class and he was dating my best friends sister...until he had sex with a 16 year old and her parents demanded they get married! It was...awkward for sure. And Disturbing. When you're an adult you do NOT have sex with 16 year olds! >< Maybe some day people will learn.

My thyroid disorder was caused by pregnancy and irritated worse after birth... I was so bad after Sean was born that I spent HOURS in my bathroom crying and thinking I HAD to be dying... Or that something HAD to be wrong with Sean because my mommy senses were ALL outta wack... Normal baby things with Sean seemed so wrong and I was feeling so nasty that I often had to call a friend to help with the boys (especially in the evenings)... Now my anxiety is under better control but it is still there... And I have depression from the anxiety stopping me from doing things I want to or have to do... It's a big tug of war... and I actually might have that mixed up to be honest my doctor explained it to me that the thyroid can cause both depending on whether it is over or under active... and the other is more then likely being caused from fear or restrictions based on the first... My thyroid is currently UNDER active... That is what scares me... Getting pregnant again means that my thyroid will flair again and I will go though pretty much the same symptoms all over again...

And I know I need to break her of that habit... For some reason her cry gets to me worse then either of the boys ever did... And their cries felt like someone jamming a metal rod up my spine... still do >.>;; When Dillon is here she is the perfect baby rarely cries doesn't need to be held often but when I am here alone with the 3 of them she cries all day and if she is happy for a moment and I set her down to manage one of my kids (especially Sean) she is right back at it *sigh*

Yeah he married her.... They were getting a divorce a little while ago... Which Michael's dad NURSED for like 5 months even though after a month Michael had told me she had moved back in and so had his brother and sister... I couldn't imagine being forced to marry at 16... I chose not to at 17 and again at 21 because I know that having a baby can change the circumstances of a relationship even if you are married... And I wanted to make sure that the person I married planned on being a good dad and husband! One of them failed that test... And I mean FAILED with a -100% and the other passed... Not 100% but he is working on it LOL

Generally I do cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, since it gives the house a really good smell. :3

Jaz- eek. I don't remember my kids cries doing that to me though, maybe I'm not as good of a mother? lol. They can cry if they want to. Most of its just whining about one thing or another and not serious. I ignore the whining. >.>

I've never known a man to pass anything 100% lol.

That sounds good. ^^
My family isn't one of those families that have a meal on Christmas morning.
We just prepare lots of finger foods- like veggie platters, meat trays, shrimp platters, lots of sweets, ect. And when we're hungry, we help ourselves.
I've never liked the idea of a large meal.

Although, a large christmas Eve meal appeals to me. ^^

Only their actual cries makes my spine want to separate from my back LOL... Their whinning makes me want to pull my hair out but that is because my 5 year old whines about EVERYTHING.... Sean is pretty good when it comes to most things... He only cries when something is actually wrong... I personally think Mikes is an emotional mess like his mom... O_O poor guy! I think his is due to his "father" though... Mine is just me being crazy I am pretty sure... Or god calling paybacks for all the repressed emotions I had for 20 some years... Dillon says he likes me better an emotional wreck because I can't shut down to him >.> and because I show "appropriate" (his words) emotions now and not just a solemn face with the emotion behind it... I personally liked it WAY better the old way but I guess I can adapt!

No I don't think I've even seen a close to 100% except for a 100% failure LOL... Dillon is a great husband and he puts up with a LOT from me... And the kids.... and rarely ever complains... Me on the other hand I complain.. at great length it would seem anymore...

I can't wait for the beginning a new school year stress to go away... I really REALLY hope that everything goes smoothly from here on out...

Mikes won't start school until the 8th but we get to meet his teacher on Tuesday he is really excited! He is starting full day preschool this year!

I'll be bragging on my kids until the day I die LOL.... and my grandkids...

Man I had a talk with Mikes yesterday that I KNOW he didn't understand... He was gloating about his "father" and saying how he wants to be JUST like him... That scares me sooooo much... He is a high school drop out that can't get and or hold a job in a respectable since... So I sat Mikes down and told him if he wants to be a great man when he gets older he will be smart and stay in school and go to college so he can be a good provider when he has a family of his own... That he won't quit school like his uncle and dad did... Because having babies makes school sooo much harder... etc etc etc...

He had NO idea what I was talking about... Kind of had a blank stare on his face the whole time...Hopefully one day he will understand though and listen Y_Y His father should be the LAST man he wants to idolize >.>;;

I didn't make things better when I told my sister in law that I hate school when she came to pay me >_> cause he copied me and said he hated school to... O.o I need to be more careful what I say out of frustration!

I'm always excited about school, so I know that she is too. My mom got her school clothes and a backpack, she's walking around with it today. It's cute.

 My sister said the "F" word (didn't want to actually write it out in this thread ) when she was three because she over heard my mother saying she was "F-ing tired". My sister walked up to her later that night and asked "Mommy, are you still F-ing tired?" Except it was abbriviated. Despite how bad mom felt that she'd learn such a nasty word, she couldn't help but giggle because my sister looked so worried when she asked.

 They sure do.
I work at a day care and one little boy said to me:

Quote:
"I want you to stay forever. This is your world now. Your happy, beautiful world"
I was really shocked when the kid said this.
It was sorta creepy.

That reminds me Mel...I got a token too but they don't do my size (fat) so I was going to give it to a friend. God knows where it ended up since it was before we moved. If I get any more I'll need to find a friend here that would like it. My friend up by my parents use to love stuff like that, but I haven't talked to her in ages. :|

I could have sworn they had some larger sizes there too. Maybe it's just online? I dunno, my hips have been getting wider, I need to start getting large instead of medium. >.< Stupid birthing hips! lol.
