lol... re: toes. I'm only laughing because I do the same type of stuff. I swear it's a case of, "How many times are we going to do this?" type thing with me. I'm glad you're okay!

Yay for bread sales! Extra money is a great thing. (:

What week is he, Jaz? It might be time to check the Wonder Weeks schedule to see if it lines up with anything. I found it very accurate with Terra.

Re: Sleep. I can't help but feel it's a theme for us right now. Someone in each household is on night shift, and the kiddos struggle (as do partners of course). It's frustrating that it's needed right now.

Cole signed up for voluntary downstaffing tonight. It doesn't mean he'll get it, but I've been up since 4am. When I said Terra was "off", the "off" didn't actually hit until this morning. :\ I feel like an asshole because the morning started out with her usual antics of, "I don't wanna sleep!" She insisted she had a cold, and would cough. Sounded like a cough people would do when not sick with a cold. ;)

So from 4am to 5am, I drifted in and out while we essentially snipped and snapped at each other (Terra and me, I mean). At 5am, she said again that she had a cough... and that her belly hurt. Coughing turned into puking, and she's moving toward her fifth round of puking in two hours. Two. I feel so bad for her. :/ And at the risk of sounding like an idiot, I'm lost. She's never thrown up before.

Makes me take her near pristine health for granted. I wonder if she caught something at daycare? Doesn't explain why I'm off too though. I still have diarrhea. Terra keeps insisting she does, but can't do anything. I can only assume she has diarrhea pain in between the puking and nothing's coming. :(

What a mess.

Cole should be home in about an hour, but again... night shift. He'll need to sleep. I asked if he'd take the trash out, but beyond that, nothing. I'll take a quick shower while he grabs breakfast and go from there. I don't dare leave her alone in the interim.

Neither of us have fevers, so I'm not sure wtf is going on.

Sounds like maybe a flu. Yuck. Only thing I can suggest is the bratt diet. I have gotten really creative in the past with it. As the only things my kids actually eat in it is apples, bananas and tea. Like mushing bananas with rice for breakfast. Toast and tea (usually chamomile because that is what my mom used for me when I was little). Or rice and a hard cheese. Like cheddar... But no milk, no soft cheese, hydrating fluids pedialyte, gatoraid, poweraid, water of course. There isn't a lot you can do for tummy troubles. We have chewable children's Pepto but I think it is 6+ years but she might be big enough size wise. Sean was at her age. Adult Pepto has aspirin traces in it :(

Hopefully Cole gets the down staffing. Having extra hands with a sick kiddo is helpful even if he can't do a whole lot because he's sleeping at first.

He is 16 weeks according to the app. (goes by due date not by birthdate) fourth leap. He is mastering quite a few new skills he's lifting up onto his arms he's scooting. It says he will be fussy these next like 4 or so weeks blah. I wish I could reference the book to get a better grasp on why though.

Dillon was due back home almost an hour ago :\ I should make coffee and get ready to shower both the littles are still asleep I should take advantage

I think it's gastroenteritis. There's no fever, no lethargy or weakness. It's just the nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. So pleasant, huh? I'm trying to think of any foods she and I have eaten that Cole hasn't, and I'm failing. It's possible she just caught it at daycare and brought it home. We've both been off kilter since roughly the same time (within 12 hours). What I DON'T remember is who got sick first.

We've been doing the BRAT, though I may add a "T" to it as the day goes on. She ended up crashing for a bit after her last vomiting round. She's eating a piece of toast--first food since last night. Cole picked up Pedialyte on his way home, and I think she's gotten about 6oz of that. She's peed once since 4am, so I'm not as worried about dehydration. Unfortunately that followed by a big round of diarrhea, so I think we're back at the "okay, you need to drink something" stage.

I am hoping this is over tomorrow. I am hoping that Friday is when it began for both of us, and this is just the worst of it for her.

Cole went to sleep around 10am, after the comforter finished drying. He'll sleep until 4pm, unless I need him. Cross fingers he's put on call, because at this point I could use the break if Terra ends up being better. If not tonight, then tomorrow during the day.

For Liam, does this parallel at all?

Wow... That about sums it up... clingy, fussy poor sleeping. I just set him down after he'd been asleep in my arms for 5-10 minutes and he is awake again. Happy for the moment kicking and checking himself out in the mirror. I have about 5 or so minutes (or to get too far out of line of sight before she starts to fuss again. And an out 30 before he becomes crazy crying boy. He does this cry. Even while being held. That makes me tear up. It's awful :'(

He, Ellie and I went to the zoo today and he was very happy to be outside but now mama has to get finished doing the cleaning and prepping for the babies to start daycare tomorrow. Lunches to be made bags to be packed

I hope you guys feel better soon. Being sick stinks.

She slept a couple more hours, and I started reading Stephen King's "It" in my downtime. I've only ever seen the movie, so we'll see how it goes. She may take another nap. She hasn't thrown up in seven hours, so I'm crossing fingers. She said the belly pain is back, so I am anticipating another round. Thankfully she's eaten two slices of toast and a third of a banana (spread out), but she's refusing the Pedialyte now and has had water. Who knows...

Just... hoping beyond hoping that Cole gets a call and he's off work tonight. I have a wicked rippin' headache, and could use a nap myself.

With babies, it's so hard to know what's going on. I'm going to guess it's the developmental shift, on top of the general "wonder weeks" thing. Hang in there. I remember those days, and the complete inability of doing anything ever. :\

I don't much like Stephen king. I've read Carry and pet cemetary and one bother can't remember what but everything has a funky ending no closure just BAM end. At least that is how high school me remembers it.

I don't blame her on the pedialyte. I HATE THAT STUFF .. ITS GROSS... I do lemon or lime gatoraid and there was one more I found last time I was sick but I don't remember what it was. The others are gross lol. Poweraid Dillon likes (gross)... If I am not super sick and just need a little liquid I prefer cherry 7-up :p I am a rotten brat!!!

I hope Cole was able to be home!

Dillon and I are busting our humps on the upstairs at the moment. He is finishing the steaming of the boys room it is awesome!!! Ellie's was also steamed... I love clean kids rooms! Our living room was steamed yesterday. I am working on the hall up here and that is next. Then I will work on cleaning out our laundry room which will finish out my night.

So I've been a bit quiet the past few days...been spending it with friends on the island. And the both of them are leaving me in just about an hour to board the ferry. I'm heartbroken. I know I'll see them again at some point, but I'm still grieving over their loss from my immediate vicinity. Fucking military. Moving people all over the country. One's going to St. Louis, Missouri the other Newport News, VA.

I hope Terra is feeling better by now. And you as well.
I'm totally jealous of your steam cleaned house Jazzy. I really need to do that to mine. Perhaps later this week?

RE: drinks for tummy issues. I'll sip a watered down grape Pedialyte...or drink the orange Gatorade. I'm not much of a fan of the grape Pedialyte mind you, I actually despise it, but it makes me take very tiny sips even when I'm super thirsty and I think my stomach handles that better than actually taking a drink of something.

I have a friend who live in Newport news. Its not to far from Elizabeth city is it? (I get mixed up with all her moving)

Sipping is a good plan with anything when your sick I think. Your body I think can process. It easier.

I think Pedialyte is nasty too... but she ended up drinking water. She seems okay today, knock on wood. No more diarrhea thus far. I'll see if she'll eat dinner. Her appetite isn't 100%, but she's willingly eaten more today than yesterday. Her mood and energy are fine! Cole didn't get called in, so I slept 12 hours. I feel human again.

I'm sorry Mellie. :( I deeply dislike these kinds of transitions... </3

It's like 45ish minutes from Elizabeth City. So if we get stationed there again next year,we'll be close enough to hang out. (not close enough to drink and walk home...but close enough to hang out) But that would require us to move there...and not where we want to go. I know I can always make new friends. But seriously, I spent 4 years in practical seclusion in e-city the first time, and it took a good 9 months before before I made a friend...and now they're both gone. I hate going out and making friends. Can't we have like a speed dating option for making friends? I'm feeling so lonely. Topped off by they're all on the ferry until Saturday and there's no cell reception or internet.

Yay for babies feeling better! I hope it's a continuing trend.

I hear you...

It's not as simple as "making new friends". For me, it eventually becomes a, "Who can I/should I try to invest in with the hopes they won't move within a year?" x_X I hope that doesn't sound too odd, but blah.

I don't have problems with friends moving...... well internet friends but not people here. I just don't seem to make friends and those I do aren't always uh there when you need them... even in the just a shoulder sense. Everybody's your friend when your at the top of a mountain. The second things start slipping no one was there and they haven't been for well over a year. I could not imagine having good friends and watching them leave :(

My friend bought her house in Newport News the year before I did (in October's the year before we did in July so like 6 ish months difference) and as we were closing on our house she got news that her husband was being stationed some place else. She was miserable for the 3 or 4 years they were stationed there. But she moved back.

I am glad Terra is feeling better and you too! Being sick is definately the pits....

Today was my first pay day and I had a small panic. I started over thinking bills and how they need to be paid and such and totally began to wig out. But after going through and assessing our bills I feel a little better. We bough Mikes first birthday gift (so so so behind) $50 gift card to Ross I am debating on getting another $50 card to TJMaxx just to give him some extra variety since he needs quite literally a whole new wardrobe! But we'll see a bike is on the list, as is a scooter... And the 6th and 7th diary of a wimpy kid books... bike is first up. I am going to look about for second hand bikes first

I was going to suggest second hand. We got a $400 mountain bike for Scott for $50 second hand. It needed a new seat, but that was all of $20. So $20 instead of $400? Yes please!
Aaron needs a new bike too. We've got a facebook page in Kodiak called Swip~swap that has a lot of buy/sell items. It's kinda like craigslist for us. So be sure to check on Craigslist and the like. (: Hopefully you find something at a super decent price!!

All of my friends seem to move. But I guess that comes with the military territory. I've got quite a good number of friends...but they're all scattered across the US. Which makes it really difficult to see not only them, but introduce them to other people that I know they would love to hang out with. *sigh* Anyway, I'm still feeling quite down, but a bit better than earlier. I still have a good number that are staying, it's just the ones I was closest with that left me.

I think we're still sick. Ugh. I'm not sure when to go to the doctor if she has no fever, has lots of energy, and her attitude is good. She messed herself a bit this morning, but ate a few egg whites and is now eating pretzels.

Bah. Budget. I need to look at ours. And then decide on little things like landscaping maintenance. I know I won't have time next week onward.

I wrote a huge email to my supervisor about work concerns. I was asked if I had referral contacts. Was I supposed to? Uhhhh... I'm not on the clock. To boot, while I could make some calls, I don't know how far they want me to travel, and I point blank said if going farther or means I get knocked to half time when my productivity suffers, I won't travel far. I feel I was firm but worry if I went too far. I want this job but am seeing more and more the benefits to private practice.

I found a 35$ mongoose and I picked it up. It is purple so I am worried world worn Michael will not like it because of it. :\ it needs new handle bar grips and a front break and MAYBE a new chain. But other then that it has solid tires which is awesome!...

We have a kids stuff for sale Facebook site too. I just sold my basinet on there. I am such a lazy seller. I have a huge amount of stuff needing to be sold.... Maybe I should do a yard sale after Mikes birthday....

I have a huge amount of stuff that needs to go as well. And a deadline of next year to get rid of the lot of it by. >.> I should really get onto that. lol. But I'm such a lazy seller I haven't even thought about it past the idea that I need to do it!

I'm sure there's a way to go about painting a bike. Spray paint? You'd have to remove any stickers and the sticky gunk that goes with stickers, but I would think removing the tires/chain/whatever else can be removed and then wiping it down and spraying the heck out of it would work. If it's a dark purple he may not even care. I bet pinterest has some ideas on diy bike painting...

Paint job would take care of it, like Mellie suggested. :3~

I need to at least think about birthday stuff for Terra. I don't know who to invite to her party, and whether or not to have two parties. I am trying to remember last year's birthday party, and I'm ... completely spacing. I think it's because we opted to not have one where she was too little to notice. The years before, we had big family gatherings, but now she has friends, so... what to do? I hate these things, because when I ask Cole, I just get a blank stare in return. Always. It takes me nagging to get him to make phone calls for anything. He still hasn't called or researched on how to get vents installed in the garage attic space. We need them if we're to store things. I scheduled Orkin and will call a local man to check in on lawn mowing and perhaps refinishing things... I know I won't have time with the job transition.

I tend to go with one large party...but a lot of that has to do with my parents/family not showing up even if we ARE in the area. >.> I'm always expected to go to their houses...psh-aw. I've got shit going on too! I'm not taking ALL the food, and the damn bouncy house over to YOUR house...because really it would be 4 different houses and...okay. My family just sucks.
BUT! If you want you can make the family party happen an hour or two before the friend party and just keep all the decor up and they can leave or stay depending on their comfort level with small children? I remember reading somewhere that a party should last no longer than the childs age for them to get the most out of it. I'm sure this only relates to 1-3 year olds. But it's something I try to remember anyway.

Do it however it is easiest for you. You've got a lot going on.

I feel like my decision-making skills are tapped out. /fail

It's very likely that Terra's best buddy will be in California come time for her birthday. The frustrating bit will be trying to juggle her party around when my in-laws will be here. They want to be a part of her birthday, but I also know she'd want her buddy there no matter what. :\ She will also likely be in Pre-K before they go home, too. Sucks, as they are only coming out for 3-4 days this time and won't see her for perhaps 1-2 of those days.

I'll give it some more thought. I could always ask her what she wants, too. She made it clear she wants to not go to a "baby school" anymore and is ready to do "real" school. </3

Oh my word, the Orkin guy found over 10 wasp nests today. I officially need to see if an entire house can be dunked in some, "STOP BUILDING HERE!!" material. xD

Omg you can't escape the wasps seriously...!!!

As for bday I wish I could be more help. I want peace for birthdays from now on. But it yet again was not in the cards... Someone suggested asking the kid if they'd rather a party or going out some place special for a day. Like an aquarium. But money and time are currently against me. Parties give me anxiety.when they are mine or others.

We used the "want a party or the fair?" for Terra last year, and she chose the fair and an overnight. By the time food is taken into account for an extremely large group of people, I swear it nearly evens out. To boot, we have no dishwasher now, which adds to the cleanup. I'll give it some more thought, but she knows what birthday cake she wants. I'm hoping she changes her mind. I'll show you guys later. @[email protected]

I think at this point I would die with out a dishwasher. I NEED one.
Is there a spot in your kitchen to have one? Is there one but it's just broken?

I know they're not necessary. But on days that we're cranking out bread, we go through like 3 loads of dishes, full up, in the dishwasher. It's freaking insane. And I hate dishes.

I want to see this cake!

I'm a bit shocked they still make sinks with out disposals. O.o I thought that had become one of those necessities in houses. My kids would die...needed to scrape their plates after every meal before rinsing them off! Oh the horrors! It's just too much! The kids have been super whiney today about everything...if you couldn't tell. I'm not feeling too warm towards them right now. -_-
