I am afraid morning sickness is allready started for me, I have been feeling pretty lousy for the last few weeks now. I was reading up on morning sickness on a blog and its expected to start around the fourth week of pregnancy so I think I am a little further along than I first thought. I thought that conception would have been around the week before christmas but now I think about it its actually from the first week of December.

Jaz- I hope you're able to get him in quickly today. Our pediatrician has a sick call room, but I swear in the winter you're waiting in there for hours. Sometimes I think the urgent care might be faster. >.< I do like that they have two seperate rooms now though, before it was one room with all the kids together. At least they're trying to keep people there for well visits well. xD
We got him in right after my appointment with the endocrinologist today. He has an ear infection in his right ear and an sinus infection that is looking like it is running down his throat and into his stomach... Causing other problems on their way... He's on Amox now as you pretty much already knew from facebook ROFL... But she is worried about how many ear infections he has had and if this one isn't completely clear by 1 week or 2... He has to go to an ear specialist... I hope he doesn't have to go and that he is like my oldest younger brother and this is his last ear infection...

My Doc told me that my meds are most likely too high because of the reactions that I was having on New Years eve not sleeping and also my reflexes and such are off... So they are going to have to re-adjust my medication if the blood tests show the same things he saw in my hands and in my heart rate and weight... But he asked me out of no where if I wanted more children or was planning more and I told him that it scared me to have more because of what happened as a result of Sean's birth. He basically said that my postpartum thyroiditus was so bad that it damaged my thyroid gland and I am now officially hypothyroid and that more then likely if I get pregnant they will have to increase medication but that chances are VERY slim I'll have the same problem as I did with Sean! YAY! But that more then likely I will be on medication for the rest of my life to replace the hormone my gland just doesn't make anymore...

Clair... I may not be extremely religious (at least not in the church going way)but I take no offense in prayers! I do have a strong belief of god! And prayer for that matter ^^

Portia... Welcome and congratulations! Sorry to hear about the morning sickness it tends to come with the territory of becoming a mom unfortunately! I started to get morning sickness a week after becoming pregnant ever person and every pregnancy is different!

Mine... Was with me until I was about 8 months ><;; then I was so big that I would only eat a couple bites without throwing up... With my oldest I didn't have any though so as I said each pregnancy is different!

And it is a really good idea to head to the doctor ^^ they can answer questions and also certain prenatal vitamins will help with morning sickness as well ^^ my friend is about 3 months along and her morning sickness has mostly subsided now. Certain smells still make her nauseous but she says it is much better... On average about 3 months is when it subsides...

Ah well, heres hoping. If I can't get in tomorrow (which is highly unlikely) I will have to take time off work which I don't really want to do because what with having to prepare for a baby and planning a wedding money is a little tight at the minute. Not that my jobs that highly paid anyway lol.
My friend had her first child last year, my goddaughter, I am looking after her tomorrow night which I am not looking forward to because even at a year old she still doesn't sleep through the night. :gonk: I wouldn't be able to handle it if that was my kid but there we go.

Well thats understandable [your kids are real cuties by the way:)] Though my friends daughter will get up at least twice in the night, she won't cry she will just start talking with her teddies really loudly so we have to explain that three in the morning is not a good time to get up...especially if we only went to bed at twelve x3
Oh well, its as you said, the joys. Though its much more joyous giving her back lol. Though people feel different about their own kids, though heres hoping my one is an OK sleeper.
My brother was awful, he would only have about an hour of sleep then wake up again.

My oldest slept through the night pretty much from day one... It has only recently gotten bad. My little one has been different in a lot of ways.

I have trouble watching others children. But I really didn't before my kids were born. Before they were born I could stay up until 3AM and get up at 6AM with no problem... Not so much now though ><

I prefer watching others kids during the day, not the overnight stays, I mean my dog is bad enough half the time. Though if I am looking after others kids its normally at their house because since my dog is so big most aren't used to him and think he will bite, though he is a big softie really :)
Is he getting bullied at school or anything? My cousin used to wet the bed and it turned out she was being bullied. Who knows if it was connected (most likely not) but you never know.

He says people pick on him in school but that he doesn't really care. I think it is something to do with his dad we were doing well for almost 5 days and he visited his dad and peed the bed... It is hard to say. We are going to ask our doctor about it at his next appointment if it doesn't start getting better soon!

Yeah, its probably the best bet. My cousins doctor wasn't that helpful, just said get waterproof sheets and drynights. Thats the healthcare situation in Edinburgh lol.
Well I am pretty sleepy so I am going to head off to bed now. Speak with you tomorrow :)

Good night Portia

Ok I've been wanting to share this for a little bit we were talking about weight gain in pregnancy a little while ago and I thought it would be kind of neat to upload pictures and show what I looked like with both of my pregnancies since both were significantly different weight gains... Also I like to look at preggo bellies cause I am weird so I was hoping I am not the only one ><;;

6 months pregnant with Michael (warning I am in a sports bra hope that isn't against the rules O_O;;)
7 months with Mikes it is amazing how clothes change the appearance O_O
Pregnant with Sean at 7 months
Pregnant with Sean at 8 months
I had to do some real looking for the first two (I HAVE WAAAAY to many photos) and I wanted to show my prom picture cause well everyone SWEARS I don't look pregnant LOL... But apparently my mother has the only surviving copy >.> which is just plain... Weird...

@ Jaz::
That's good. I don't think in a Puritan way. I don't think you need to go to Church every Sunday to have a good faith in God and pray. :)

So I'll pray for you and your sons.

If it's okay with you, too, Portia, I'll pray for you and your new baby! ^^

I hate belly pictures. xD But I know I have to do them this time. I just don't want to. My friends were all into them though. I don't mind looking at other peoples baby bellies though. I just hate how they look on me. I feel like a cow while other people look cute and pregnant. unfair! xD

When my mom was pregnant with me, people thought she was just a little chubby around the tummy.
They didn't know that was a baby belly and not a chubby belly.

But I have a feeling that it'll be obvious with me when I do get pregnant, because I'm so tiny! xD

Yes thats fine with me Clair :)
Nice pictures Jaz, I too love baby bellies. My friend had a huge tummy when she was pregnant, it was mostly fluids. I shall upload some bump pics once I actually have more than a little cluster of cells. I am pretty sure it will be noticeable on me too, I am very petite, height and weight :P
I'm sure your baby bellie is just as cute as everyone elses Melody :)
I made an appointmet with the Doctor today too, I managed to get one in my lunch hour on Tuesday x3

Well I am going to do the motherly thing and say that as long as the baby is healthy I don't mind at all....though really I would quite like a little girl :P
No, we haven't actually started thinking of names yet, though I have a book of baby names coming from e-bay so that should arrive early next week so I can have a browse then :)

 My mom was the same way. She really wanted a little girl, but had a dream about having a baby boy, so she didn't mind either way. Growing up, she wanted a daughter named Heather, which became my name. My middle name is Anastasia, after a patient my mother had when she was living in Japan. (My parents were in the Navy, stationed in Japan- I guess there was a woman living on the base named Anastasia *shrugs*)

I love hearing people's names. Names always intrigue me, especially if they're unique. :D

lol, I always want girls. I'm hoping my surro baby will be a girl too. >.> I want to buy cute little dresses again! My kids are just about out of the sizes that cute frilly dresses are sold in. *woe*

I hated my baby belly so much. But I got/have stretch marks because of it, so I have a reason to hate it. ^^;; If your belly starts itching, don't scratch put on lotion. >.< I scratched and that was a bad thing. I have tummy butter now. I can't remember the name of the company, but it smells pretty (soft scent not strong at all) and I used that while pregnant with the twins. It didn't really stop the stretch marks though, But I think most people with twins end up with 'mommy marks' regardless. Your skin just isn't supposed to stretch that much! D:

I'll take pictures, but always with a shirt covering my belly. no one can see my mommy battle scars. xD I have too many different names for them.

healthy babies are nice and all...but healthy girls are preferred.

 Melody, that's silly. I really want a son some day. There are only daughters in both sides of my family... no son to carry either last name. :( I plan on taking on both my parent's last names and making it like this: dad's last name-mom's last name. Then I'll add my husbands to the mix. xD

I am afraid that I have to agree with Melody on this one, healthy girls are preffered. I am a really girly girl so I don't really know what I would do with a boy, over exposure to me would most likely turn him gay x3
Yeah in the drug store near where I live (its like a superstore for medecine) it has a huge baby section with little clothes and bottles and things but there is also a pregnancy section. I was looking at the body butters and things there but they are mostly for enhancing the appearance of stretch marks rather than prevent them. I will take another look at them all on Tuesday when I am out..possibly Thursday though depending on how short time goes since thats my day off.

Oh! Don't get me wrong. If I only end up with little girls, than I'll be very pleased, happy momma, but I really just have a dream of that one son to carry on the names for my family.

Yeah I think every mum is pleased regardless of the gender of their baby, I mean I would still love a boy, though everyone of them has a prefered gender lol. I have two brothers so I don't need to worry about the family name, its being carried on quite well, plus Paul has a brother too so there is no real need to worry about that. Well not for me anyway :P
