I plan on having my children take my last name. Which will be VERY LONG!
Is it possible to give a child one last name? >.> Say, if I have three sons and I give them each on last name: my father's, my mother's and my husband's? Is that legal?
|
Er... my boys both have my mother's maiden name... You can name your child ANYTHING you want first middle and last! Even if a babies father doesn't sign the birth certificate you can give them his last name (not sure why but yeah!)
Neither my hubby nor I share the same last name as the boys... But despite having different fathers they both bear the same last name HAHAHA confusing ><;;
We are hoping to change our last name legally sometime in the next couple of months...
*is sad that Mellie doesn't like her belly!* Be proud of your baby battle scars!

Indeed. My friend still wears a bikini with hers, not really the best look but if she wants to then on she goes. :P
Gah! My dog was chewing my phone, he has scratched all the bottom cover. :gonk: Also I have an odd bruise on my ribs I have no idea how I got. :P Odd.
How are you today Jaz?

I am doing pretty good thanks.
ooh sounds fun, rather you than me. I need to get myself together and plan our money for the month, my boyfriend came into a bit of money via poker last night so I can add that to the weekly shop so I need to re-do my list now :)
The fun of twenty four hour supermarkets. I head shopping at seven on Sunday mornings when there is never anyone there so I can get what I want and not have to battle for a til :P

I have a cute one piece that I wear. I have a couple of tankinis that I like too. but I try to cover up my mommy marks, or at least make them less noticeable. I wear a bikini for the hubby though. He doesn't care he just likes looking at me. so male but I love him so much.
My mom and I have different last names. She never changed hers when she got married. And it's probably for the best as my parents recently (like 5 years ago. xD) got divorced. So she isn't stuck with a random last name of a guy she isn't married to anymore. This has nothing to do with me not taking Scotts last name, it's just that his name is so long and I quite like my last name. But my mom always had a different last name than me, we all got my dads last name. So I'm kinda carrying that on.
Finally got my dividers and pencil case. My desk is feeling so much cleaner. I can concentrate better. xD

Glad yours is cause mine has been being stacked onto cause there are papers and books that need to be put away on here when the desk gets re-organized... But it has been dusted ^^... Though my files actually have papers in them now which clears a little bit out of my head ^^;; And we are almost back on top of laundry too YAY! If my knee didn't feel like someone hit it with a metal baseball bat we may have gotten even further but we are almost done as it is... Just a LOT of detail work... And lots of dusting ><;; *achoooo* we have like 8 or so boxes to go to good will before I head to my mothers to watch her grown "children tomorrow" not my idea of a good way to spend the Sunday before I start classes again but I hopefully get paid for it >.>;;
My mom wants to work out a trade for her to watch the boys on Mon and Wed when Dillon and I have classes but I don't like the idea... She wants me to watch her clients for 8-10 hours one day a weekend when she'd be watching the boys 3-4 hours two days a week in the evening on weekdays... >.> the hours almost equal out unless she does what she was originally saying and disappears for 10 hours which is way too likely... And also mine is for school hers will be for her to go and jack around... I don't like them apples >.> Plus I don't like her disipline methods I'd rather my in laws watch them with no "pay me backs" attached... Not that I wouldn't mind watching my neice a couple of hours so her mom can do homework or whatever but I just don't like the way my mother talks she says "I'll be home in 2-4 hours" it is ALWAYS 4 hour and then she wants me to stay longer to eat dinner or what have you.... And I just don't have the time... I can understand she is beginning to get lonely because we are all growing up but she never takes the time to visit us in my home we always have to visit her. She has this weird notion that my sister is going to quit college in a year and live with her until she dies... It is making my sister rebel against her pretty hard... She is moving out sooner then any of us did. She'll be leaving in June when she turns 18 she already has money saved up for it and everything. She wants to try dorm life out for a year before moving into her own apartment. Which I think is a cool idea. I wanted to live in a dorm at one point but now man I couldn't even imagine bunking with complete strangers >_<
Yup that is my randomness for the day... Back to cleaning with me cause if I don't get my mind off of how good dinner smells I am going to go CRAZY waiting for it to be done... I'll see everyone on Monday probably!

I have never been overly struck on bikinis. I never liked my body much in my early teens so that is what put me off them, even now I don't wear them. I have a really snazzy strappy one peice that I absolutely love. What weird tan lines you get from it though
If I liked my name then I probably wouldn't have taken my husbands last name as his is pretty common whereas mine isn't. Though I don't suit my last name at all so I am pretty keen to get rid of it. Though the wedding isn't for a while yet, I am slowly winning the case for 12.12.12. Paul was wanting to bring it forward to the 11.11.11 but there is just no way that I can organise it all and preparing for the baby and all that within the time. Plus I have my doubts I will slink back down to my size eight by then either, which I am going to try hard to. My friend said she liked her baby belly so much she wanted to keep the pudge. Not really my cup of tea :P
My desk is relatively tidy, though I have no idea what half of the papers and things that are stored there are for. I don't go on the desktop computer much, I got a laptop from Paul for my birthday and Christmas last year (as they were so close together we decided just to make it count for both) so I don't really need to use the dek one. I may have to get back onto that one when I start my classes again though, unless of course I can find a way of settling to work at the breakfast bar and storing my books neatly at the side. Though I have my doubts on that one :)

Aw I am really sorry to hear that Jaz. I have been feeling pretty lousy all day too, though my boss combatted that by making me work the regester rather than actually wait tables. I think I have a cold coming on too which is not at the best.
I hope your son gets better soon :)

Me too... He is very cranky when he is sick which means I am cranky... I just called financial aid to fight with them on a suspension. I called angry that it was there to begin with and then somewhere in the middle realized I was upset (like sad) for no real reason and after snipping at the One stop lady who I very obviously annoyed after 20 minutes of explaining that financial aid was the reason I had to drop the damn class in the first place and that if it is going to be the same song and dance all over again I may as well just quit while I'm ahead... She huffily proceeded to transfer me to a financial aid councilor who for some reason I bit into right away and then apologized and told her that my son has been sick and it is putting me on edge. She probably thought I was a nut case but she said the suspension was lifted no forms no nothing... Someone is out there watching over me somewhere...
When I hung up the phone I just started crying... I should have saved my anger for the community college who are damn dragging their feet about sending my consortium agreement... Now I am not sure I have the energy to fight with them... I am afraid I am going to have to go back to my timid self... ><;; not that I really sound timid on the computer I guess... I have a lot more guts to say stuff online then I do to do it in real life...
Sean is asleep... I am hoping he stays that way for a bit to allow me to make some calls and get stuff together!

Aw what a wee shame. Hopefully its just a 24 hour thing.
Poor Jaz *hug*
At least something was achived by your phone call. I am sure that once you speak with the community cllege your anger will come flooding back, sadly I think anger and short tempered responce is the only way to get though to these people.
I am actually much more reserved online. In real life I am very loud and have a bit of a potty mouth too. I also think I have the balls to say things in real life that I wouldn't online. I suppose I like to seem the way I do because the way I type is sort of the only way to gauge the type of person that I am, so I really wouldn't wnat it crawling with swears or remarks.
Probably a good thing too
Have a great day Clair :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIR!!!
Hope you have a great day!
Portia- my son has been sick for almost a week now and he is still sick though daddy works the evening shift today so he seems decently calm right now...
Went to the community college to find out that they DID send the paper yesterday and that I still have no way of keeping my classes ><;; I am hoping my teacher gets back to me soon cause I am going to have to have my college send the paper signed and such back to her so I know it is safe at least <.< I've had my college fax stuff to PCC and apparently the people who work there look for things about as well as my 5 year old (who tends to look at the ceiling for things ><; ). If I can get her to receive the fax though for me everything should be good! And I'll be able to buy my books by the 15th ish ><

Aw what a shame. Hopefully the gat that he is calmer today is meaning that he is getting better rather than just realising that his dad is working late.
Oh thats good. I am sure that they will get back to you soon. At least they have actually sent out the papers.
I had my doctors appointment today, place was packed as per usual so after watching my lunch hour dwindle I had to call my boss and tell her I was most likely going to be late, luckily she was good about it and said that I can just take the afternoon off. Everything seems fine so far and the doctor has scheduled my 12 week scan for the 22nd of February so I can't wait.
So in my afternoon off I did some grocery shopping, stopping in at Boots to get some body cream as Melody suggested :P and finished up the houswork. Now I have had my shower and started dinner so I am relaxing listening to music :)

Sean hates it when part of the family is gone. He doesn't like when he can't walk his brother into school (he cried this morning when his brother got out of the car.) and often is very fussy if one or more of us is out of the house.

Seperation axiety? My cousin used to be like that until she was about three. She would cry if she thought she was alone or if all her family left. It was murder looking after her when she was younger.

Not really... He doesn't react to terribly if I leave him with my friend Janette or my mother or my mother in law... He just likes the family to be together it would seem!
Your welcome Clair how has the first day of your 18th year been treating you? Forgot to tell you your avi is looking adorable today! Are you doing Belle?

Oh my cousin was one of the ones who reacted terribly to people leaving her behind. She always threw a hissy fit when her sister went to school or her dad went to work, though she was ten times worse if her mum left her.
Its quite sweet that he likes to keep the family together really :)

Yeah he is pretty much over separation anxiety. He is actually upset and fussy all day when part of the family is missing. Separation anxiety normally only lasts a few minutes after a family member or caretaker has left

Not really... The local "play dates" are a group of women with prada hand bags that live in the "better" section of town. He would be looked down on because he wears clothes from his brother that are GAP or something like that... I had talked them via internet and they were very rude once they found out where we lived...

prada handbags aren't that cute. Neither are coach handbags. I don't get that drive of people. I do however love harajuku lovers handbags and shoes. The prints are just so cute! I have my eye on one that Amazon has for sale. It's like $60 though. ;-; Maybe after the transfer I'll get myself it as a present? haha.
OMG so our dishwasher died like a year ago. Scott got annoyed with it being down since we were spending about an hour a day doing dishes. Well he got down and fixed what was broken and it works! No problems what so ever! Take that sears! I don't need your $80 disgnosis + parts repair man, I got my hubby.

Our town acquired a new section about 5 years ago... (it was there before but most people who live there raised gorses and such because the land there was cheap and there was lots of it...) I live in Pueblo proper... And where these women come from is call Pueblo West. They have gone as far as to try and become their own city because being part of "Pueblo" means you are a low life steele mill worker doomed to die of over exposure to lead >.>;;... I am not much for handbags and shoes really... I have a pair of athletic sneakers from Walmart (cause my old shoes were pretty well dead) and I just got rid of my only pair of high heels. I do want a pair of chucks and a pair or two of Vans but that would be after I get my closet/ dresser purged of all the clothes I don't wear... I kind of want to buy myself a newish wardrobe that isn't consistent of a ton of hand me downs from people I don't know. A couple new pairs of jeans and some new long and short sleeve shirts that aren't holey or stained or bleached >< Some of my shirts and pants I've had since high school ><;;... But I don't know what to do with the couple of formals I still have... It doesn't make since to keep them because we don't ever go anywhere fancy. But at the same time they were all gifts from my mother.
YAY for having a dishwasher! My hubby's not that useful he is not mechanically inclined lol... But I haven't had a dishwasher for almost 4 years since I moved out of my mom's house LOL!
And oh my gosh I JUST now realized what your signature says that is so funny >< I'm sure not for you at the moment but I think it is!
