I use MSN Messenger primarily. Tho I also have AIM thats on but not used as much. Eliminated all copies of yahoo's messenger a long time ago for reasons I cant even remember anymore, as well as ICQ. Other then that I just talk to people via forums and myspace and such.

AIM was always my main messenger. The chat boxes are simple, you can use a cute icon, it's easy to use.

Lately, I've been using my MSN a lot more. I have more friends that are MSN exclusive. I don't care for it as much though, it does a lot of stupid things like randomly kicking me off or kicking someone out of a conversation and then opening a new window for me....but they're still using the same one. What? How does that happen? Stupid MSN!

Once in a blue moon, I use YIM or Skype....it's partially an im program. We use it to trade links and silly comments while we're talking. XD

I stopped using ICQ a long time ago. Too many weirdos randomly messaged me. Some where nice, but some were just weird and I didn't care for the ICQ number as opposed to a personalized name =/

I prefer yahoo messenger. Mostly because most of my friends have yahoo messangers. xD
But these days I go to meebo to log on to my yahoo messenger account. Why? because I am to lazy to install it in my laptop. >xD

The main ones I use are AIM and MSN messenger. I use to have Trillian, but for some reason it just didn't feel comfortable using it.

MSN. There are more options and stuff for it, and it's just better. =D I like it. :)

Personally I prefer Msn. Although Aim and Yahoo are both great services. Aim takes alot more to run than the others and the annoying constant updates can bring pain to dail up users like myslef. However, I do like aim's new layout. Though when i saw it the first time it reminded me of msn somewhat. I haven't seen yahoo's newest version yet. So i can't really judge that.

I hate AIM with a passion, which may seem a little odd as AOL is my ISP and i use its IM service all the time, but AIM annoys me beyond reason even though it's virtually the same..

I use Y!M mainly, i have a few people i know who use MSN, but my pc died 2 days ago and has steadfastly refused to log me into MSN since...so I've added my MSN friends to Y!M as you can do that now, keeps things tidy anyway.
The only thing i really liked about MSN was being able to add your own emotes, i've always prefered Yahoo myself

I use AIM, MSN, and Yahoo messengers. Yahoo likes to close out at me somewhere between 1 and 3 in the morning, though, so I'll be on all day and then off at night when I'm on the most. ^^;; I use MSN the most because that's the one my boyfriend's always on, and most of the friends that I talk to are on there. AIM is... just there. I used to talk to a lot of people on there, like most of my friends that I had during high school and then a few of my jrock friends. But now I'm not friends with the same people that I was in high school, and most of my jrock friends I talked to on there before have become more distant, so I hardly ever use it.

I use AIM, because that's mostly what people use in my area. All of my friends have AIM, so having a different one would serve no purpose.

I used to be hooked on AIM, but all of my friends migrated to Yahoo. I have no particular preference... though I use Yahoo a lot more often.

AIM, i like the classic AIM not this crap =/ Just a waste of RAM.

The only thing I ever use is AIM...though I use Pidgin to glomp all my IM programs together, even the ones that I've only used like once in my life. It's useful to be able to sign into all of them at the same time...such a simple, lovely program. :D MSN annoys the hell out of me however, even though I've tried to use it multiple times...it just doesn't seem very user-friendly. And for some reason it really slows down my system. =/

I like MSN the best, but I think it's because I'm just really familiar with it...also the fact that I already have my friends on there, and if I started using another system I would have to get their names and whatnot.
Too much work, and I'm just lazy. :]

I mostly use AOL/AIM and MSN. Occasionally YIM. I also have Skype for when my friends want to do voice chats although now we use either AIM chat rooms or a site called mebeam to do voice and webcam chats so we haven't used Skype much in a while. I also used to use ICQ but I only had like one friend who had it and I would get weird IMs from annoying strangers so I stopped using it. XD

I use MSN. I didn't know that their were so many different options. Makes me feel old not keeping up with all the stuff like this. I remember when I was in HS as soon as a new "brand"(for lack of better word) of instant messager came out I always had to download it and try it out. But nothing reallie stuck like MSN.

I use MSN. I've used Yahoo, AIM and ICQ but I didn't like them as much. Yahoo wasn't all that bad, it's just that no one I know uses it. I refuse to use ICQ ever again, it use to crash my computer, it caused so many problems it wasn't worth the effort.

I started out with AIM, back when we actually had AOL. I eventually got YIM, MSN, and ICQ just to see what they were like. I didn't like ICQ at all, and YIM wasn't my thing either. We eventually canceled our AOL service, so I got rid of AIM then. Most of my friends on AIM had MSN, so we just talk through that now. MSN is my favorite, and the only one I use now.

I like AIM the most.
I use it every day.

And Meebo's pretty cool.
you can sign into all of the different instant messengers online.
so you don't have to download them.
It is a little laggy, though.
