  • I think it's fascinating that my sociology professor pointed out that despite our society condemning drinking and driving, we kind of leave the people with no choice but to do so.

I'm not advocating drinking and driving. I think it's absolutely terrible to even be sleepy and driving. Anything that gives you the opportunity to use a several thousands pound weapon incorrectly is abominable.

Back to what I was saying...

We have zoning laws that limit where alcohol can be served. These locations tend to be far away from where people live. The United States, for example, has a poor transportation system. In comparison, in Europe, you can walk or catch public transportation to go back home. Without a designated driver, how do you get home safely in America?

I hate when people drink and drive. It makes me nervous when I sit in the car and I see a car speeding a lot. It wouldn't bother me that much if it was only driving really fast. But when the car can't seem to stay on his own lane, that freaks me out! People who do that are very inconsiderate of others. If they don't care about their own safety, fine. But don't involve others! My biggest fear is if one collides into one of those gasoline trucks and then of course there would be an explosion. And the 10 cars within a 10 meter radius will be gone too... When I get to college, I will not allow my friends to drink and drive. And if that means that I won't get to drink a drop of alcohol, so be it. I will be the responsible one and drive them around. But then it won't be fun for me. But if I stop driving them aound and if they have an accident, I feel guilty for the rest of my life...

well Drinking and Driving should never be done together everyone knows that. I've seen, read, and heard of some may alcohol related accidents and deaths. Alcohol, drugs, and anything else that gives you that "out of body experience" simply put scares me out of my shell!!

the thought of not having total control over your reflexes or doing something as simple as remember what you did last night... I just don't see what kids see in this stuff!!!
