There's an earth day?

A user-run event for it.. it's been in the Community Discussion for a while, but it's starting on April 19th, according to rette's siggy. xD

i remember it, but i have no idea where the idea came from or what makes it earth day... XD

I think back in elementary school, there were these people who came and talked to us about Earth Day.. and then we decorated these paper bags with Earth-related stuff.. like recycling, nature, Earth itself, ect.. xDD

i don't remember anything like that... then again, i don't think my school cared very much about going green back then... ^^;

Well, maybe they didn't have to worry.. since it was a lot earlier and global warming/ect wasn't such a big deal. ^^;

don't make miyu sound THAT old... lol... global warming has always been an issue... (well for the past few decades... XD )
but then i don't think they had as much resources to go green yet, so they didn't care... or didn't know how to care... ^^;
