Really? I thought they had more than 500 episodes. More like...500 per season. xP I mean, the idea of Pokemon was kind of interesting. I only watched an episode or two, but it wasn't bad. I was surprised when they made a second season. Then a third. Then a fourth. Now the episodes barely have plots anymore. It's getting to be extremely annoying. And all the little kids still like Pokemon, so they can afford to keep it running.

It should most certainly stop. They should've stopped after the orange island series in my opinnion. but that's just me. The whole thing after that just sort of seemed to go straigh downhill. and the games should've stopped at gold and silver and just added in a female for that or something instead of going on and on and on. and the toys...they should do all the pokemon, not just the most popular ones. that way, they cover those of us that like the non-popular pokemon.

  Honestly, everything's getting old. There are too many Pokemon (I know the first 251, plus a few others from the newer seasons) and the ideas for new ones are running out and becoming redundant. The show no longer has a plot, so I think Ash and his little troupe need to beat the nearest Pokemon champion and be done with. Dx
  
  The franchise is popular and was good while it lasted, but too much is too much.

I loooooooove Pokemon and all, especially Pikachu and Jigglypuff. But when the new characters came along (starting with May and Max instead of having Misty around) that's when I stopped liking the new episodes. Of course I watch the episodes all the time but suddenly it's not so great without the original cast.

They've gotta start playing the oldschool episodes and stop playing the newschool movies and episodes because I don't even know how many Pokemon there are now (I don't even have a DS so no Diamond/Pearl for me to even know about the new Pokemon). There's really just nothing special about the new stuff.

LIke everyone else, i liked pokemon when it first came out... sure even second season was ok.... and third season was tolerable and the ten or w/e seasons after that just make me want to gouge out my eyeballs with spoons XP

There are just too many pokemon and not enough plot lines to keep it interesting anymore....
but here's where i get strange- as much as i want the blasted series to end, i don't mind the sequels to the movies. infact i love the movies for all their cheesiness lol granted i would be sick of them if they made one or two more but although i only like three seasons i love all four movies (more than the seasons lol)

cards are fine if they want to add more pokemon - no matter what the cards are a waste of money

Pokemon was my secret shame when I was in Junior High. I used to watch the show religiously everyday, and I actually have a few of the old gameboy color games, that are still fun to play.

However, that was over 6 years ago.. I think its time to let go of the t.v series... They can still milk it, through producing video games and people will still buy it, also if they sold each season as a DVD set I know quite a few pokemon crazies that would buy it. But its time to let go of that show for sure.

• Well, as long as people consume a product, it'll keep coming. I feel as if the Naruto craze is overpowering the Pokemon phenomena, so in due time...it'll join the ranks of completed animes.

In my opinion yes they should stop,It`s getting really over rated,and annoying.I remember when i was like 9-10 i was watching pokemon it was the first episodes.Now I`m 17,and pokemon is still on my T.V,And they cancelled One Of my favorite anime`s to replace it With Pokemon Chronicles.

Let's see... I watched almost every episode until Misty and Brock left the group (I missed the orange islands episodes...)) yes, I know Brock came back, but Misty is more like once in a while now... I also watched some secret episodes in chinese.

Yes, I was a dedicated pokemon anime fan back then.
But when you start noticing that team rocket is on every episode, and that they started trying to liven the show by changing main characters (the new bunch of kids who are with Ash and kicking off pokemon characters...)) etc, it gets to even the most dedicated kids. (I miss Misty's psyduck! T_T))

now I watch once in a year, proably, because the new episodes don't really matter whether you watch in order or not, lol.

Yes, definitely it should stop making new episodes. Then they can rebroadcast all the episodes again and get their old fans back. There is no way someone can buy all these episodes they keep pouring out. How much money would it be?

Yeah I guess..., I loved Pokemon ever since I was 5 and I still do. I watch it once in awhile and somtimes I play the games. I know pretty much all the Pokemon from the old version, but now they are just making way to many Pokemon. Kinda hard to keep track of them all and some of them arn't even original anymore. And why wont Satoshi/Ash grow!? D:

Personally...nothing against the show...okay well I guess I do have a lot against the show, yes it should stop already! It's been years and years and Ash still has the same damn voice...and brock...just ew...and teach rocket...wtf!?

It should end. If it doesn't, then they should get rid of Ash.. Him and Pikachu(however you spell it) are so boring. So is team rocket. The plot lines just aren't good. They should end it with a big movie where ash and misty get married. Then may and brock get married..They seem okay with eachother.

Once they got rid of Misty I was done. ><; Even the original voice actors *except Brock I believe* have left the show. They've been doing it for years and it does get old and repetitive. Ash should be in his 20's by now and be the Pokemon master. ><; It may be wishful thinking but as long as the cards and show makes money they're going to milk the cow till it can't give anymore. T^T

I don't know. I haven't watched Pokemon for a long time because Misty isn't in it anymore. I also want Ash to be paired with somebody already. Didn't many people say that Ash likes Misty and vice versa or something?

It should stop it has been going on for way too long and well there's just too many pokemon now I can't even watch it now because they keep adding on and on. Plus the story line is getting way off from when I was littler. It used to be better I mean I don't hate the show. but the person who made it should start a new better show because this one was done a long time ago.

To proof I don't hate it I have a dog named Brock and a few pokemon posters in my room.

The series itself should stop. They’ve gotten pretty lame. Back in the old days when there where only 150 Pokemon it was so much better. But for the games themselves, they’re actually (although I hate to admit it) pretty fun to play. Just the series itself needs to be put to rest. Does anybody even watch the new one’s anymore? -_-;

but in Japan pokemon is VERY profitable. there is even a store for it! i doubt the original creator is even involved with the creation of the new pokemon, which have gone from recognizable RL animals, to...scifi. they get bigger and less friendly looking.

i too am one of the English dub fans that is disappointed in the decision to get rid of the original Eng dub cast and replace it with ones who do a bad imitation of them. i would have been more lenient if the new actors worked on creating their own voice for the characters, not just trying to imitate what they heard.

the first time Ash got rid of his pokemon team (cheesy episodes) to replace them with new season pokemon, i was alright with it, and literally believed LOL that he would return to them one day. now he is on the next set!! he acts the same as he did in the first season, only thing that is different is his clothing. he still does that stupid thing of wiping out his pokedex to click on pokemon he already knows about!

hes going ons about being a Pokemon Master is held up by the constant creation of "New Gym Leaders" and "Arch Fillers". useless badges and events that have nothing to do with him growing as a trainer.

the need to replace the girls and keep Brock around is just...ugh. what is up with that!? the guy has been a skirt chaser since Season ONE. he is getting old in his antics. find a girlfriend and leave Ash be!

oh gawd. Team Rocket...by far the most definite reason why Pocket Monster needs a huge revise, or just wrap up the series with a time jump. they go after Pikachu EVERY TIME! you would think they would just go and find a one for themselves! its a common pokemon! they state so many times that they will change, and they never do. they actually seem to get more and more dumb each 7 seven episodes - so by this point they are freakin morons.

the animators lost wood for the fire, they need to just wipe Ash from Pokemon or do some kind of big finale

The Pokemon Games should never stop! They get better and better by each installment! I am pleased with every new one that comes out. For the anime, I have to say it is getting boring! I hope they at least change the main character out! (I'm sick of Ash!) Sadly the series is in high demand with all of the kids so I don't see it going anywhere. Pokemon is probably the most successful kids series no. (10 years and they are going stronger than ever!)

Things the Anime needs to do:
-Get rid of Ash
-Get rid of Team Rocket
-Get a new Mascot! *cough* Mudkip! *cough*
-Have some "older" main characters! (Ash is still 10-12.)

Or simply they can do this:
-Make Ash win the Pokemon League and end his story! (I'm sick of him making it to the final four and lose to his "new" friend.)

the games can get recycled...based on the fact that they all have the same goal:

collect pokemon
train pokemon
fight random people
investigate team rocket
go after rare pokemon

yada yada

but at least they are a lot funner than the anime!! LOL

I used to wach the eps when it first came out...and i like the old sesons alot better then the newer ones..however my son still adors the show....I think Pokemon was made for younger people so i dont mind if they make new ones. my son will wach them and keep out of trouble for the 25 mins that it's on LOL
