That definitely rates up there past 'Not Cool.'
I think you were totally justified in your frustration...not only is your purse your personal property (good point, Winter Wind), but its important personal information as well.
Your credit score, these days, is very similar to your social security number. It's a major factor in any major purchase you'll ever look at. Joking about screwing up somebody's credit cards is paramount to joking about guns and bombs in the Airport security line...
and it just isn't right to joke about something as sensitive as that.
I can't think for the life of me why your firend would do something like that, but I do think that you were totally right to be upset and angry.
And even so, if she had been joking, it is only a joke if its funny and that was in no way entertaining.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I appreciate everyone's insight and advice on the situation. I thought that maybe I was just being super paranoid and uptight about it all, so I'm glad to see that so many people feel the same way that I did about it.
When I told my fiance about it, he said he understood why I'd be upset, but that he also understands why someone might do that and not think it's a big deal. He basically said that I'm just paranoid because I was raised by my mother, who is very paranoid about credit (much more so than I am). But that's because she works for a company that does home loans for people and every day she sees all sorts of bad things that happen with peoples' credit.

mmmm....yeah my friends have been acting weird lately too. Then again one is having respect issues with her boyfriend. And the other one is just manic depressive at the moment.

That's really odd. If someone went through my purse without my permission and without me standing right next to them I would tackle them to the ground and search them. Of course I'm really paranoid about my stuff ever since my uncle read my diary/sketchbook and then told my family about it. Now each time I go up to family they laugh at me about it. It makes me so mad and just hurt in general. ;___; Now I hate that uncle. >.> Well hate's too strong a word. Simply put I can never trust him again. I would tell your friend that you dislike people going through your stuff and to please stop it. :3

Bliss your friend is rude!!
Your purse and its contents are your private property, as is your phone, if a friend of mine did either of the things that this girl has done i'd be completely livid with them.
I'd also never trust them with anything..she seems to have no respect for boundaries..which is rather worrying for someone of that age :?

- I have a big problem with people invading my personal belongings. D:<
I don't want them staring at my stuff, no matter how good the friend is. :<
I think that you can't trust her. It would probably be smart to change your credit card number, or report any suspicious activity to the bank.
Maybe she was just fooling around, but I think she might spend something.
I don't like people looking through my stuff, she was invading your space.
Invading spaces isn't cool. D:

Something like your credit card number is not at all something to joke about. Thats invading your personal privacy and security and she should defiantly know that by now if shes around 20. Sometimes it amazes me how childish people can be. >>; ..and people say teenagers are bad.
