I like vintage swimsuits myself...though I don't really go swimming anyways.
And the underwear...is just really expensive underwear. xD In my opinion.

True true. I love the vintage swim suits as well, well just vintage stuff in general. I used to swim all the time, but my asthma's gotten bad so I can't as much as I used to, working on fixing that though.

Wow, I'm really happy this thread is here. Just hope there are some regular posters. ^.^
Personally, I like Baby the best right now, though Moitie is the first brand I really loved and Mary Magdalene is quite lovely too. I don't like gothic styles that much now though.
Once my babysitting check goes through, I plan on heading to JoAnn's to get new fabrics and stuff for some sewing projects. ^_^

Oh when you finish you'll have to post them!
I am an admirer of Moitie, someday I may be able to afford something from them.
I tend to check on this thread everyday, but don't feel like spamming. It'll be nice to have more regulars here!

Yeah, the main reason I learned to sew is because I'm too cheap to buy brand. I could, if I saved up, but why bother if you can make a reasonable replica?
I have the fabric already for making a replica of a blue floral JSK from Mary Magdalene, but I don't think it's on their website now. How sad.
I was going to buy some cheap cotton, actually, and make a nice nightgown or something. xD

I really have to learn to sew garments. I can mend and sew little things but I would love to be able to replicate brand, though I still wouldn't mind owning some.
I think I know which dress you are talking about. It should be very pretty when it is done! I have a pattern for a night gown I would love to make and it seems simple enough I just need to get some money together for fabric. I've been on a pretty tight budget for awhile now.

It's a kind of summery looking dress with 3 tiers. Very pretty. ^_^
Ah, that's too bad. I've heard that WalMart sells cheap fabric, but I'm always nervous of anything cheap from walmart.

That was the one I was thinking of.
I've gotten some fabric from WalMart in the past you just gotta be careful about it.

I wish I could sew! I'd make myself numerous pretty things. I have ideas for Lolita dresses and stuff, but since I can't sew, I don't understand patterns and me and my mother's sewing machine don't get along...well, that's not going to happen anytime soon.
I've been wanting a bunny hoodie for a long time ago. Although, not long ago I asked my uncle for a kimono hoodie from Candy Violet, and...well it looked a ton better on the website, on the mannequin. The sleeves are so big that it looks overwhelming on my small figure. That, and my entire family makes fun of me for it. =[

It's too bad your kimono hoodie didn't work out. I have terrified of sewing machines x.x I have to hand sew everything so it's been daunting trying to learn to sew garments. I have so many patterns and tutorials save though. I think I have one for a bunny hoodie too.

Oh, bunny hoodies are so cute. Bunny bonnets too, though they're a little frilly for my taste. xD
Do you have a picture of Candy Violet's kimono hoodie? It sounds really cute but I don't think I've seen it before and they've closed the shopping section for the holidays.

Aw, I'm sure you could get kitty ears to work somehow. If only just for fun while lounging around the house. xD

I have really nice ears and I would wear them all the time and have worn them with lolita before. I just feel hesitant to put up pictures of me wearing them since I don't feel like getting classified with the cosplayers, though if you can wear bunny ears and not be considered a cosplayer I don't see why it's so taboo to wear cat ears. Plus AP has some cute kitty coordinates.

That is kind of weird, why bunny ears are fine but cat ears aren't. Sometimes it's really hard to tell whether people will jump on something for being cosplayish even if it looks really good.

It really can be. I think the main issue with the cat ears is that you always find cat girls in the anime community so for a group trying to separate themselves from cosplayers you really don't want to take the risk of being looked upon as a cat girl rather than just trying to be cute like with the bunny ears. Especially for the girls who wear lolita to the conventions.
