@secrets: Yeah, it was the strangest thing. I went and plugged the power cord and the air card in it like I normally do, then I pressed the power button, and all the indicator lights went dark and the laptop wouldn't turn on... O.o; So I started messing around with it for about 15 minutes or so with no luck, still wouldn't turn on. -.-; Finally, I unplugged the power cord and the air card, then tried turning the laptop on, and it booted right up ^.^; I plugged the power cord and the air card back in, and it seems to be working fine now, but I have no idea what the problem was or if it'll happen again :headdesk:
Also, I'm having issues because the company OC (Operating Center) that I stopped at for the night won't fix the problems that I have with my truck because they're apparently really backed up and my truck isn't broken down on the side of the road :roll: Guess I'm going to have to head for a different OC to try to get the truck fixed there >.<;
And, other than all that, I guess I'm doing alright. :P How about you?
--EDIT--
@Suzhi: Glad to hear that you're not sick anymore :yes:
@Kazz: Ooo, are you watching the original CSI, or one of the shoot-off's (Miami or NY)?

@Suzhi; Okay. I'm very wrapped up in what I'm doing, I should pay more attention to it. xP What book are you reading?
@Dimitri; Eep. I hope it doesn't do that again and it was just a one time thing, but who knows. Are you thinking about getting a new laptop?
I'm good, busy working on graphics. :D

@Kale: *tacklehumpgasm* Heya, love!
I like CSI, too. Oddly enough, though, I only like the original CSI with Grissam, Warrick, Sarah, Nick, Cathrine, and Greg. I don't really care for CSI:NY or CSI Miami, for some strange reason :sweat:

@secrets: Yeah, today was the first time my laptop has done that. I hope that it doesn't do that again, but it worries me that it's getting ready to die :sweat: But, yeah, I'm planning on getting a new laptop soon. Hopefully, anyway. I need to wait until I get home for my vacation, fix my pickup, and try to get my Christmas shopping taken care of first. Not sure how my funds will be after all that. :XP
@Morwyn: Yeah, that's a good point. I think that you may be on to something there :yes:
@Suzhi: Yeah, I can imagine (since I'm not really big on tea to begin with :sweat:
Bloody Jack? That sounds oddly interesting (catchy title ^.^). What's it about?

Already thinking of Christmas shopping? Ack, that actually reminds me that I need to do mine. :headdesk:
@Suzhi; Ooh, that's an interesting title, what's it about?

Dimi; Same here. For a while I liked Miami as well but then I started disliking it. And I never liked NY. xD

Its really good/. uhm, its about a beggar girl living in the early 1800's.. basically she loses everything, and decides to go on a british navy man-of-war as a ship's boy.. there are several book in the series, and i would warmly recommend them.. ^_^ it has a really catchy storyline..
edit
@kale: oooh, you decided on a red based avi? it looks good with the flames! >_<

@secrets: Mmm, about... *thinks* ...3 years? Maybe? Don't really remember exactly when we got it. Aryah and I originally got it to share, but since she got a new laptop, the old one became mine. Naturally, after it becomes mine, it starts acting up... -.-;
Well, I HAVE to do my Christmas shopping early since I'm only home for about 2 - 4 days a month. Doesn't exactly leave me a lot of time for shopping :sweat:
@Morwyn: I agree. The original CSI is pure win ^.^
@Kale: I'm not even really sure why I don't like the other CSI's. I just...don't :P
@Suzhi: And the name this girl goes by when she gets on the ship is Bloody Jack? Sounds like a pirate name :ninja:

naw.. ^_^ actually her name is mary faber.. but after losing her family, and her friends she decides that living as a boy is much easier (this is the early 1800's, so she probably right), and renames herself jack.. she chops off her hair, and goes on a war ship dressed as a boy.. but she does go into piracy in one of the later books.. >.<

@Dimitri; 3 years or so? That sounds it lived a good life, hope you're able to get a nice spiffy new laptop soon. :)
Ah, I see. I have to get stuff for my cousin's 5 1/2 year old boy, they won't be spending Christmas with the family this year so I'm going to ship it to them before they leave for Japan. I have no idea what to get for him though.
@Suzhi; Ooh, that sounds like an interesting book. How many books are in that series?

Sorry that I disappeared! I got distracted >.>;;
@Suzhi: Ahh, ok. Sounds interesting. I might have to look into that :yes:
@secrets: Yeah, I guess so. And, considering the fact that it's spent about 85% - 90% of it's life out here in the truck while I'm out on the road, I guess it's kinda surprising that it lasted this long (I've heard that riding in a vehicle shortens the lifespan of computers. Even laptops). With the type of hardware that I'd want on my own laptop, though, it's going to be pretty expensive. Probably around $2k, at the very least ^.^;

@secrets: Meh, I don't know about a lot... Basically higher quality. Especially the video card, hard drive, and a 17" screen :P A higher quality sound card would also be nice, but isn't very practical on a laptop unless you hook some good external speakers up to it. Which also isn't very practical for a laptop that is usually on the move >.>

@Suzhi; Haha. I think I'll write the title down, because I need to read some other books. I have lots of books that I want to read but have never gotten around to it - so I should read those first. xP
@Dimitri; It seems like you know what you want already. :) You should also get a nice case for it so it doesn't get damaged and whatnot. :yes:
