Kat: Yeah, makes you feel loved, doesn't it! She's in my thoughts, that's for sure.
Tori: I'm getting all the songs from that tv thing "Romancing the 70's", I had most of them but needed the rest, then I'm going to get the music from the "Music Within" soundtrack.

Yeah, the people here are mostly really nice. I've noticed two kinds mainly. The friendly ones are the majority.

I don't either, but then I've lived a pretty solitary life. I clung to my husband and kids mostly, but I don't see that as a bad thing. I don't tend to trust many people in real life. But after my hubby died, I DID strike out a bit more, and had some fun. And met people throughout my life at work. Most times I liked my jobs.

yeah, I have some good friends, but I dragged my best friend to mene because we don't get to see each other. I'm finding making friends at college hard for some reason. I talk in my classes more now, but I just don't hang out with any of them. Its really good to strike out and all, but I find it extremely difficult.

I tend to enjoy having small groups of really close friends in real life. And I end up doing the same online. Which is why I enjoy going into threads where I see the same faces. xD *hugs you both*

I had a hard time making friends in college too. With the exception of two roommates, I don't really keep in contact with any of them. While we hung out, spent birthdays together, and whatnot...the fact that they wanted to be with funner people (I don't do drugs or drink >_>) or them finding boyfriends (now husbands) led them to abandon me. 8D
That's good. :3 My best friend's stuck with me whether she likes it or not...Mwhahaha!

I'm just too shy to meet people...I never suggest hanging out. the only people that wanted to hang out with me have wanted to smoke hooka or work out. I'm not a fan of either.

@Kat: My coworkers always want to go clubbing/drinking. But I just don't have fun in settings like that. Last night I went downtown (in the city I just moved out of) to eat and hang out with them. Half of us were having fun trying stuff and talking while the other half that only wanted to go drink looked kind of miserable/bored.
Guh, I can't stand working out. xD I need to start going to the gym regularly though. No gym buddy yet...

I'm going to take a look at the gym...it's really close. I just need to make sure I can pass my run, sit ups, and push ups without struggling. After two months of slacking, the last diagnostic was a little rough on me. ^^;

I can be very social in real life, but I don't go seeking others. If others find me, I'm very friendly though! I like a small circle of people as well, ones I've talked to enough that I remember. It's hard in these communities though, when others want to "friend" me, I feel bad if I don't, especially on this site, as it's so small.
Tori: Yeah, I think most of the best music ever was the 70's! My kids even love most of it because they've heard me play it so often. Which is NOT a bad thing. I think it only makes them more well rounded. I drink, much less than I used to, but don't do any illegal drugs. Just not into it. Many moons ago I may have smoked some stuff, but gave that up when I went in the service. I did the club thing very briefly a bit after my husband died. Had to give that up quickly before I killed someone :lol:! Guys just aren't as respectful. When one smacked my ass as I walked across the dancefloor and I was ready to smack the shit out of him, I knew it was time to stay home and party for sure!
Um, NO to working out! I need to lose weight, but not at that price! The one thing I hated about the army-PT!
Hello, Rose! A few of us are here!

maybe you just saw stuff that made you think to not party. I go to a religious school and find that a lot of the people here party and everyone smokes cigs and hooka. everyone just hops over to UT for the parties...
that makes sense tori.

@Echo: The only time I'm weirded out by friend requests is when the person requesting it never even spoke to me once before. I get a bunch of those and sometimes I wonder if it's an accident or if it's because I have a colored name? o_o;;
If I ever go to a club, it's going to be a Korean one. The ones where most of the GIs hang out...well, it's ridiculous. My last roommate and I came to the conclusion that any time anything violent happens, it's always an American soldier against another. They're always coming into the clinic with broken fingers, bloody noses, broken jaws, and so on. One guy got stabbed by another recently. Those who went to the Korean clubs say that people just dance and drink. No fighting over people looking at them funny or bumping into them.
I just like being indoors in my room when it's dark. I feel safe. o_o
I love the Oldies music. <3 I can see how they're the classics...the stuff nowadays...it's going to be so weird when they become "oldies." They don't have the same kinda...I dunno how to describe it. xD
What I hate about PT is being forced to meet those limits. >_>; I don't see what good doing 50 situps is or running my two mile in 19 minutes. I run into so many people who are all gungho about being in the 300s. Pfft. I just want to pass without dying. xD
@Kat: I hate the smell of smoke and alcohol. When I see drunk people wandering around vomiting everywhere...I just don't see what's so fun about getting yourself into that state. Never been to parties, never went to clubs, never drank. All I do is just observe and read about other people. So I just decide not to bother.
Still love UT though. xD If I decide to go into nursing, I'll try to go there...*still undecided on what to do* @[email protected];

I've gotten a few weird friend requests from people I don't know.
wow, more reasons to stay away from clubs and bars.
oldies. I like some of it.
yeah...I'm never gonna do stupid stuff like that and I hope my brothers don't either. smoke is nasty and I swear I inhaled an entire cloud today. bleh! thankfully I stay away from live drunk people. I've talked to drunk people over the phone and that's kinda funny actually. for a little while.

I have a funny story about a drunk KATUSA calling the clinic...but I'll have to save it for now...I'm going to catch the bus to my old post. My stuff is still in my other room...and I need to find my PT belt. >_<;; Time to pop open those boxes and dig through them for those stuff. *sighs* Probably will be another week or two before I get my other belongings since a lot of people are going to the EFMB train up.
I'll see you guys soon. :3

Haha, Kat! You thought I'd write a long one, and Tori did! I talk a lot in real life, too!
Tori: Aren't you around a lot of infantry and such, though, Tori? That would definitely account for those types. If you think about it, it's bad, but not real bad. While they should be able to control themselves better, I'm glad we have those gung-ho types out there willing to defend us!
The new music I don't think will ever be "classics" in the sense that the other music is. They'll just be old, good songs.
I hated PT. Again, there's a "but". I can understand the need for it. The few things they test you on are enough variety on different muscle groups, that it would ensure that you have the strength required to be considered fit to their standards. Of course, there are plenty of jobs that don't require that strength, or even any strength, but you have to remember, EVERYONE is a SOLDIER first, then comes your job. In a bad situation, anyone could be required to pick up their weapon and a heavy ruck and book it out or fight. I still know how you feel-I SO hated PT.
Smoking-unfortunately I have started again. After I got sick last year, I physically couldn't smoke anymore, couldn't inhale without major problems. But I had to have the taste. I was down to a few a day, but didn't inhale them. Then about a week ago, I said the hell with it. I'm tired of being fat, and quitting smoking I'm sure helped me to gain more weight (as you eat more). I'm hoping I don't get to where I'm smoking as much as I used to though. Just a few a day.

wow, I don't know why I keep thinking I have class tomorrow. I'm all out of whack. I feel pretty guilty and horrible right now because I skipped class today. sure I waited till the middle of the night to feel guilty, but this is the first time i've intentially skipped a college class and one of the few times ever in my history of skipping. poo, but I just didn't want to get up this morning and I hate my grammar class. puts me right back to sleep and I was thinking that I might go to the homecoming game and pep rally which I didn't.
bye tori!!
hm, doesn't know what to reply to echo's post
I think I'll go take a shower and call it a night. bye!
