I don't think you'll need to know about FMA. It's not a fan-based roleplay. Just using the idea of alchemy? xD

Tori: Okay good. ^_^ I've seen some of the show, but I really don't know much about the storyline beyond the basics. But I have the idea down of alchemy. Are our character's supposed to be of like.. a highschool age for this special boarding school, or is it more college aged?

I feel inspired to make a new character tonight. Hee hee hee.

TK- I only have the base idea for my OC (as well as a vision in my mind of how I picture his expressions and mannerisms) and a loose idea for the teacher. Don't even have any names thought up yet. :sweat:
By the way, did you see my post on the previous page with possible name ideas for the SciFi RP?

Miki- No, you don't have to have an extensive knowledge of the anime. Just a basic knowledge of the concept of alchemy. :yes: The anime is just where I came up with the idea for the RP (as well as the videogame that I mentioned in the description).

Kat- Ok, have a nice shower.

I almost always start with a younger character with the expectation that they'll age throughout the story. o_o But I dunno what everyone else is doing. xD

TK & Miki- I haven't really made a concrete decision of the age of my character yet. I'm figuring that, since this is such a specialized type of school, and not everybody may show the knack for alchemy as early as others, the ages could range anywhere from "tweens", (like around 11 or 12) clear up to early (or maybe even mid) twenties.

Tori/Dimi: Hmm... I think I'm going to have a young teen character then. I do not want to play too young like 11 and have to play that road between child and teen... just because I don't feel like it. :P Someone with a itsy bitsy teeny weeny more experience in life.. say 14 or 15 I think I'll go with. If this is going to be a school ranged for people between 11-25. ^__^

Oh! Next question, are we all starting characters that are enrolling in their first year? Or either of you going to have one that's already been there? Teachers aside.

@Ultima: Ah, that reminds me...hahah, Catalina's main intention is to steal that disc from Jackson...I'm sure as the story goes along they can build up a relationship.
I'm going to sit on the title ideas for a bit to see which one really jumps at me. *ponders*

I rather like having characters like Charles...young, imaginative, cocky, and so on. xD I can't help it if I end up making an alchemist for this new one. *hides*

Tori: Eh? Aren't we all supposed to be making alchemists?? Or did I miss something?

Miki- Well, I don't know what Aryah, TK, or Kat have planned, but I think my main OC will be a first year. I might make the "rival character" a second year, though. Haven't really even thought about the "rival character" yet, though. :sweat:

TK- Yeah, I knew that was her main reason for getting close to them, but it seemed to me that she was already starting to develop an interest in Jackson (and maybe even Annette :P ). But maybe that's just me reading too much into it. :lol:

Dimi: Is the rival character just going to be like.. the big bully on campus or something? Lol.

Tori: Oh yeah, and I think 14 is pretty young. So there! Hee hee hee.

Miki- Mmm, something like that. For the most part, I believe our main OCs are going to end up gathering with one another as a "study group" or a club of sorts. The main purpose of the rival characters is going to be like Malfoy's (I think that's his name) group against Harry Potter's group. Just a bunch of rivals who get a rise out of getting in the way of our OC's progression throughout the story. Does that make sense, or did I just ramble incoherently? :sweat: *feels like my mind isn't working up to it's full potential*

Speaking of which, I'm not ignoring your post in Roomies. I'm just trying to figure out a decent reply (which isn't going well for me at the moment :XP )

Dimi: That's okay, take your time to think out Max's next move.

And Malfoy was Harry Potters enemy for two reasons. The first was the school reason, they were in rival houses who competed to be the 'winning house' at the end of the year. The second is the whole plot of the books about Harry Potter being on the good side and Malfoy being on the bad side because of his family and blah blah blah.

You know what might be an interesting idea? What if instead of houses, there are three or four dormitory buildings in the school and they compete with each other throughout the year via grades, sports, extracurricular clubs/things, festivals, and etc. That idea is also kinda stolen from the Hana Kimi manga if anyone has read it. >_> Heh heh heh.

-EDIT- Oh, I meant to say that all of our character's just happen to be put in the same dorm, Co-Ed of course.

Kat: Yes! Getting ideas about our characters. ^__^

On a side note, I guess you didn't like the idea of having a number one fanboy, eh? ;) :XD

All: Well... on a school paper level they would probably say people are housed randomly to keep it fair between the houses. There would probably be several floors on each dorm building and each one would house a special level. First years would be on the bottom floor, second years on the second and so on.

But then school politics could come into play and the bad house leaders of one of the groups could be trying to weed out the exceptional people and move them all into their dorm, and make the weak ones want to move out. Each dorm building should probably have several student heads to watch over it, Resident Assistant's or RA's who have a little more power and such.

I like the idea of competing dorms. That's kinda what sororities/fraternies do on those crappy teen angst tv shows. perhaps the dorms are decided by the type of activities or studies they specialize in?

Kat: Well boarding schools in England actually are like that. They have houses split up and make them compete and stuff. XD Talk about competitive spirit.

Kat: Like.. a drama house, a sports house, an academics house, and a mash up of the rest house? XD If our character's don't like all the same hobbies, I'd assume we are in the mash up!

Miki- So, basically, each student would get papers listing their class schedule, the teacher in charge of each class, and which dorm they are assigned to after they attended the new student orientation? Sounds like that would work.
