I'm trying to learn how to hand sew.. and I managed to make Lesley pants yesterday.. and today I made pants for a doll I've yet to handle in person.. so didn't have anyone to fit it on or anything.. and they seem the right size to fit friend's doll. xD

So I'm happily getting better.. xD

Hehe, I haven't sewn since Grade Seven Home ec, and it was with a sewing machine.. o.O And I was horrid at it... xD

I never got to use the sewing machine in Home Ec. We hand sewed and I'm pretty bad at it. only thing I can do is cross stitch.

rusa- Yeah, I know what you mean. I hadn't sewn in years, either, before trying to make a bag for myself (by hand, unfortunately) and you should have seen the hem! Ugh! :lol:

I first learned to sew from one of my grandmas, by attempting to sew in a straight line on a piece of fabric with a red and white checker-board pattern. :P

Lol, I'm sure my hems are crap.. but they hold together nice! lol

meh, I wouldn't care, except that I was mixing thread with something akin to fishing line, and the thing wound up being horrendusly thick. One line over another, and just progressively worse and worse.... it was quite bad. Normally I use a stitch that isn't visible from the outside, so it's okay if it's bad on the inside, but this time I was actually using an accent color in my thread and... yeah... badness. :sweat:
