@Tori: You know, I think when college sets in, I'm gonna be even more money-wise and probably buy the used games. If there's a scratch on it to the point it's crap quality or the game is going to give out, I won't buy it, but used games, even in great condition are awesome price.
I'm such a cheapster. XD I love it though. I mean, Ramen is a big enough meal for me to be full for a few hours, and it's about 13 cents a pack here. I'm on the meal plan for my college, but on the weekends, it's EASY and CHEAP eating. :D
I love small things, though, so that's probably why I ADORE handheld games. Only problem is my fingers are a bit too long to hold them most of the time, but I still love them. Graphics aren't as good, but I mean, you're working with limited space because it's so tiny, so of course the graphics would be more like pixels. Also, you can pretty much take it wherever -- in the car, at the doctor's office, etc. :D

When I started college I stopped playing most games, it was a treat to buy them, but I still haven't played enough that I have quite a few that are still not played or touched at all. I kind of became more social at the time too.
The social thing is cheap, but is more valuable, so the more time we spent not doing anything with our money the better, and that is how most people viewed the money situation, so it isn't a huge deal.

@Ryu: I think that's what's going to happen to me, too. I'm going to be very busy trying to stay abroad with my classes as well as making tons of new friends and participating in college events. I wasn't very social at my high school, and they didn't have much to offer extracurricular-wise. Now I'm going to this humongous university with 30,000+ students. . . I think I'll be a bit more preoccupied.
I totally agree with you when everyone at college is sort of in the "cheap" mentality. Hanging out with people and doing some cheap activity like eating fast food and playing a trivia game or having a study party is a lot more rewarding than pigging out on a bag of chips alone while you play a video game for hours on end.
Sadly, I'm sort of a victim of the latter group I mentioned. Hopefully that will change. . . I've already become a lot more social now that I met my roommate and a bunch of other people that are going to be in my dorm room as well.

@Ryu: I think I'll take a look at the series again. xD
@Ryu/Wendy: I was always in that cheap mentality. xD But I guess I was too cheap and met a different group. Everyone I knew at college wanted to go to clubs or nice restaurants. I couldn't afford anything, so I would constantly invite them over to the dining hall so we could just hang out and talk. T_T I liked those times...but they preferred throwing drinking parties. >_>;;

@Tori: Yeah, I'm totally not a drinker. I mean, tonight I had a little wine with my salmon, but that's about it. I don't drink to get drunk or drink on a normal occasion PERIOD. If I do drink, it's cooked in food or a wine at dinner at a really NICE restaurant.
I just hope there are people there at college that feel the same way I do and aren't so bent on just having alcohol everywhere they go. And they better not have a problem with me fixing Ramen every other meal. >_>;
Also, to everyone in America -- Happy Fourth of July! [I'm not really patriotic at all, but it is a holiday since there's no mail today.]

@Kukon: Well that's not fair at all! D: I mean, I assume for any normal person like yourself, you would want a party and presents. . .
I feel really guilty and undeserving on my birthday -- I think it's a day just like any other, so why should I be showered with stuff and have the day set aside for commemoration? I cry almost every birthday I have. XD At least, that's been the case the past three years. @ [email protected];
Sorry that it's a misfortune for you though. D:

Happy belated birthday and belated Independence Day
@ Wendy: Your birthday is a special day and you are deserving! I'm sorry you feel guilty and undeserving on your birthday, you shouldn't! *hugs Wendy* After all, birthdays only come around once a year!

@Violet: Aww, you're so sweet. ^^ *Hugs* I don't know why I feel that way. I'm very independent and very modest 24/7. . . I guess that interplays with me feeling undeserving and such. You should have seen me at graduation a month and a half ago. . .
I was getting presents from people I haven't seen in years, and I'm literally sobbing when my mom came home with another one for me from someone who knew me just because I was her daughter. Oh, I have a very weird mind, I can just sum it up at that. XD
But yes, thank youuu~ Hugs are wonderful. <3
