Was sitting in Algebra class when I realized I was'nt feeling well. I felt really bloating and I was getting bad cramps.
Went home and realized I had blood in my panties. Ew.
But yeah. I'm currently on my period right now. d; It's so painful.
/takes some ibprohen(sp?) and gets out heating pad. Relief babbiie. 8)

I got mine around my thirteenth birthday. I was pretty cool with it; I'd known what was in store since I was about seven (my mom had the talk with me early, and let me loose on the library when I asked questions she didn't know the answers to.) The cramps sucked, but I preferred them to the lovely mood swings.
My ex-dad (stepfather who my mother has since left) was pretty cool about it. Periods were treated like any other bodily function in my house, and for the majority of his and my mother's marriage I felt perfectly comfortable talking/complaining about my period to him and asking him to run me to the store if I needed pads.

I don't think that's a problem; my Mom didn't start until she was nearly 19 years old. Sounds scary, huh? I started when I was nine. I wouldn't worry about it. ;3

I remember we got like this super long puberty speech when I was in Elementary School. There was one for boys, and one for girls. It was in fifth grade...
It was pretty boring so I can't say I remember too much xD. It wasn't fair though because all the boys got candy at the end from their speaker but the girls didn't -.- . But I'm getting a tad bit off subject >__>. I think she said it really varies in age. And she said talk to your mom about it as soon as possible. She even encouraged us to go home that day and discuss it. I never did feel like it x]. I don't think there's anything wrong with you because she said she got hers like super late...I'm pretty sure it was past fourteen. Was it sixteen? Or seventeen? I can't remember Dx
Anyways, I would assume parents would freak out. Not just dads but just parents generally. Unless they're pretty laid-back. But mine are paranoid about everything whether it's what I ate for lunch to what I was talking about on the phone. It's pretty creepy. Mine would probably freak.
Worrying about it isn't going to help though. I'd say just chill for now and when you get it to roll with it...But talking would probably help too.

That's not a problem that you haven't had it.
Not that big a deal for me (I was 12, am now 13).
And my parents are divorced, so I never told my dad. I bring a bag full of tampons and pads, and a ziploc to take them home in.

I got my period when I was 9 years old. I had no idea what sex was or what was happening to me. I thought I had cut myself or something 0_o
But needless to say my mom pulled me aside and explained it all. I knew about the birds and bees way before the kids in my class ever did.
I'm 23 now so that's 14 years that's 168 periods total -_- bleh...

I got mine when I was 11 and I remember crying over it. Mom was trying to console me, talking about how exciting it was that I was growing up. Even then I think I was trying to avoid that, so I was crying at not being a kid anymore.
I also made her tell my dad because I was too embarrassed. Even nowadays he'll ask me whether I'm feeling all right. All I have to do is say "Cramps" and the conversation is over.

I didn't start my period until I was 15... maybe 16. You can get it anywhere between 9 and 18, normally.
Believe me, though, you want to wait as long as you can to have it. XD. It's just not a great feeling. Plus you have so many extra precautions and things that come with it. It's just a huge burden unless you're wanting to have kids.

Its ok if you didn't have your period yet. My friend is almost 13 and she hasent had it either. Sometimes, it doesn't start until you are 16. Usully, if you are more athletic, your period will come later than most people.

Is this a problem? No, you're only fourteen. I wouldn't worry for another couple years...and trust me, enjoy the time you have now while you don't have to deal with it! <3
Have you had yours yet? Yep...
If so when did you have yours? I think I was 13...happened while I was cheerleading for the boys field hockey team.
Does your dad talk bout it. We don't sit down and have deep meaningful conversations about it but I told him the first time it happened. I kinda had to since I had to call him to pick me up early and take me home. My mom was upset she wasn't the first to know. lol
Does your dad freak out about it? Nah.

I got mine at 11. I was actually praying before that to have it to feel grown up. Now I slap myself everytime I remember that D :
I usually get the worst cramps, I skip school a lot because I glue to the tolet and I have a weird thing with throwing up during periods, but its not cause of the period itself, most of the time.
Oh by the way, I hear that if girls hang out all the time, they usually have their periods start at the same time. Weird, aint it?

It actually might be! I was the exact same way in middle/high school, with cramps bad enough to get me nauseous and having to leave school.
You know what the fix is? Birth control pills. It's the main reason why I'm on them. I'm on the lowest possible dose and I don't have anywhere NEAR the same problems I used to. You still get some cramps but the really severe symptoms tend to go away. You might see if you can get a prescription for them. I wish I'd gotten them sooner - I was in college before I finally broke down and asked a gynecologist how she could help me.

You have nothing to worry about! There's still time for you to get it, and you will :]
I got it when I was 13 while I was on vacation. I kept it secret from my mom until it got too messy to stay secret o_O
After the first time, my period stopped for about 3 months. I panicked, thinking that I was pregnant (even though I've never done 'it'). I told my friend and she said that the same thing happened to her and it's quite normal. So when you do get your period and experience this, you're not alone.
I actually never got cramps until 3years of having period. For those 3 years I was very active in sports/athletics, and after moving to a prestigious, catholic, all girls school, the sports thing just stopped. (One of the factors that made me depressed for a while because of transferring schools). Anyway, I only started getting cramps in this all-girl's school, and I think it was due to the lack of exercise and sports activities. =(
period comes in 2-3days D;
Do any of you here have a friend or two who have the same period schedule as you? x']

Nah, it;s normal.
It depends on the individual ^^
I had mines when I was like 11/12 or something. Remember it was Christmas Day though ;_;
They're so unpredictable and eh, fluctuate? I dunnp. I think I just have crazy hormones.
XD
I'm thinking of getting the "pill" to try and regulate them though, a friend did that and it helped a lot for her.
It should be fine, unless yer about 17 and have had no signs yet, then perhaps you should get it checked out or something.

I'm a guy, but I have a stephmum and a stephsister AND an opinion:
nobody should freak out about it because it's supposed to happen, it's something natural. if someone DOES freak out about it, that person has a problem. :) Not you.
Grr... My sister got a friggin' necklace when she had her first period... I got nothing ever. >.<:;;;;

I haven't had mine yet and I'm 14 years old.
Is this a problem?
Probably not. Most people hit puberty at different times. Don't be in a rush to get it. I wouldn't call it a pleasant experience each month.
Have you had yours yet?
I have two kids, one a year younger than you, so yea...
If so when did you have yours?
Probably around 12 or 13 but that was eons ago.
Does your dad talk bout it.
He wouldn't come out and talk about it. He would hide. He is outnumbered, especially now that there are three women and only him and my son.
Does your dad freak out about it?
No, he would go to the store and buy supplies if I needed them.

It's perfectly fine, I think it depends on your family history. I mean, some of my aunts started their period when they were 16 or 17. I have several friends who are 14 and just got their recently. Hehe, they never wanted it, so they were happy that for them it was late. As for me, I had mine kinda early, around 11 or 12.
Since my dad's a doctor, he would purposely try and get me to talk to him about it and be all "doctor-ly." He would play the doctor card, and say how it's nothing to be embrassed about it, that it's just a natural process of life, and that it's something to be proud of and yada yada yada. I think he would pay pads for me, except my mom already takes care of all that stuff so...yea. It's weird though, sometimes I feel that I can tell my dad more stuff than I can to my mom, though they're both equally graphic.

- I haven't had mine yet and I'm 14 years old. Is this a problem?
No it's not. Every girl is different and it'll come sooner or later. Just enjoy the time cause when you get it, it'll be a pain.
Have you had yours yet?
Yeah, when I was twelve. I asked my mother why I was bleeding. My mother laughed at me.
If so when did you have yours?
Twelve, just when I was about to go to Six Flags. I couldn't enjoy any of the rides because of it.
Does your dad talk about it?
Heck no! It's more of a mother-daughter kind of thing.
Does your dad freak out about it?
Nah, he's used to it by now.
