That is not necessarily a problem. I know girls who didn't start until they were 16.
It could be a problem though because it could mean you are fertile. Which means you can never have kids and will have to adopt ifyou want them.

I haven't had mine yet and I'm 14 years old.
Is this a problem?
I think my cousin got hers really late as well. If you really are freaking out go see a gynecologist.
Have you had yours yet?
Yes...
If so when did you have yours?
10 years old sadly. Because of my early puberty years I STOPPED GROWING.
Does your dad talk bout it.
No
Does your dad freak out about it?
He doesn't even live with me so no.
I prefer pads to tampons, because well, I don't know how to use a tampon and I never will.

I started my puberty stage around 7, and got my period at 9. It's not fun.
But I seriously don't get the difference between tampons and pads, I mean, don't they work the same?
I honestly, this is embaressing, use pads all the time, I just feel tampons are more.. woman-er and well.. being woman-er isn't a very nice feeling for me.
DOES YOUR DAD FREAK OUT ABOUT IT?
No, and a yes. Sometimes, he'd ask me to check up on me, but I think he only does so he'd think he'd loved his daughter and want to stay a good dad, like I'm losing him. I think it's also because, when girls
enter the puberty stage, they can get pregnant easier [[from all ages.]] Honestly, there are some s*uttish 10 years olds who already ARE pregnant and getting abortion, which I am TOTALLY against. But yeah, my dad is awesome about this, but my mom is just a.. freak.. about it. Got it from my granny. ;P
DOES YOUR DAD TALK ABOUT IT?
Sometimes, not all the time. He just wants me to feel safe and fine, I mean, I would understand. Who'd want a child who just got puberty to be pregnant when you know you're too old to get anymore children? xD I honestly don't mind, though. I mean, if he wants to, he can. But it's awkward, but it's kind of weird to bring it up, even I think so.
IF SO, WHEN DID YOU HAVE YOURS?
I had my first period at age 9. I started puberty at 7. My mom says you're short if you have it early, so I'm slightly scared because well.. not lots of people like short people. xD I think it is true, but I'm actually pretty tall for around my age.
HAVE YOU HAD YOURS YET?
YES, and it is so embarressing! Especially when you get.. 'the talk.' They tell you not to trust boys even though they say they love you, or kiss you, or even hug you. Don't talk to any boys, what they said. I said I already know, though I was just doing that to get them off my backs, because well.. they were in the RESTAURANT for pete's sakes!
I HAVEN'T HAD MINE YET, AND I'M 14 YEARS OLD. IS THIS A PROBLEM?
No, my mom had hers at 14. Many girls don't get it until the age of 14, but I think it's very rare to get period at the age of 18. I think that's so lucky. Getting period early isn't good, and you get 'blood' all over everywhere when you don't know how or where to put it.

I believe I had mine when I was thirteen. I remember, it was eighth grade, and we had a 'winter olympics' at my school. I was in the swim relay, and we had two hours to kill, so I wound up getting out early with a friend. So, luckily, she was able to find me a pad. I was lucky. It is extremely annoying, so consider yourself lucky for the time being.
Does my dad freak out about it? No. He's just ignorant, and he talks openly about most anything, he brought up the topic once and it was quite embarrassing. He does that with some movies as well, "Why are you covering your eyes, you're old enough!" xD He's just ignorant.
Actually, I had to start using tampons about four months after getting my period because my boyfriend at the time came over, and we were going to swim, and of course summer after eighth grade, I'm not going to talk openly about periods to him! So, he's the reason I started using tampons, the jerk xD. I don't mind them at all, they don't bother me.

Yes, I don't think you should really worry too much about it. For everyone it happens at different ages. I think mine was around 13, but my sister didn't have hers until 15 or 16.
Also, I think what you ate when you were growing up should be factored in. I read something, somewhere where if you drank a lot of milk with hormones or whatever....(I'm sure you get the point) that you'll have your period sooner. But if you ate a lot of natural things then it'll probably be a little later.
And my dad and I don't talk about that sorta thing...that's just be odd.
And I like tampons much, much better. When I wear a pad it feels like I'm wearing a big diaper. I only wear pads at night because with tampons you should only keep them in for 4-7 hours at a time because if you keep them in any longer you can go through TSS (and you can actually die)

I didn't get mine till I was 15 1/2 so no worries :D
and my dad is the "manly" type and won't talk about "girl stuff". *pff* All guys are different, hell half my guy friends keep pads at their house as a "just to be safe" thing for me XP (and other female friends)
Don't be to worried-be happy actually! lol its a huge pain. If you are concerned about not starting yet you can always get checked out but you should be fine. ;D

I don't think it's a problem, though, I started early. It's nothing you want to rush, trust me. Especially the cramps. Horrible.
I haven't seen my dad in a long time. No, he was not there when I started and nor does he know. So he does not talk about it.
Though, he is quite mature, so I doubt he would take it like most unfortunate girls' fathers do.
Though, I loved the look on my mom's face.

Periods happen at different ages for different people. Some get their period as early as 8 years old, others get it at 17. It's different for everybody.
As for myself, I got mine when I was 10. It was really funny... I grew up with my dad so I was really embarrassed to ask him to buy pads. I didn't tell him right away. Instead the next time we went to the store I threw in a package of Maxi Pads without saying anything (I thought he wouldn't notice lol!). He pointed out "sweetie, those are adult diapers... did you have an accident are were you looking for something else?" .. So he ended up taking me to the right section and he bought me Maxi pads with wings >< lol
I don't like to use tampons... For some reason I just like pads more :)

I have had my period. Seeing as I'm 19 it would've been bad if I hadn't. Anyway. Maybe you're hitting puberty late. It happened to my sister. She didn't get hers 'till she was 17. I got mine when I was 12, but really, it doesn't matter.
I can talk to my dad about it. He and my mum do the groceries and when I need tampons, I tell him. He doesn't get embarrased or anything.

I didn't get mine till I was like...14 or 15 years old I think XD
and I never really had a chance to talk to my dad about it for reasons that I'm not gonna get into right now XP
but yeah...so it was really embarrassing for me at first lol
asking my mom to buy me the "necessities"
it was really awkward XD
but now..well it is just normal and not really embarrassing at all..
my friend and I used to have ours at the same time so we'd talk about it in school XD
now we're slowly getting further and further apart D;
*kinda sad about that*
but yeah XD
there's nothing wrong with not having your period yet ^____^
it'll come eventually XD
and then you'll be wishing that it had never come...

I haven't had mine yet and I'm 14 years old.
Is this a problem?
Actually it's not a problem.
A female can start their period when they are 10 to when they are 18.
On average it starts when your 14 because well..
ehh that's another story.
xD
Have you had yours yet?
I've had mine Dx
If so when did you have yours?
Uhh in grade 7 at school
AND I WAS WEARING WHITE PANTS
so i never wear white pants anymore Dx
Does your dad talk bout it.
yes and when he does i just walk away..
My dad is weird like that Dx
Does your dad freak out about it?
Not really just when i get all moody Dx
He's all like "Why did i have to have two daughters"
and stuff like that Dx

That's completely normal, hon. I know girls who didn't get their periods until much later.
I started a lot earlier than a lot of girls, and I really wish I hadn't. I don't want to be mature. ;3;
I mean, yeah, I'm 18, and all...but I don't want my chest, I don't want to be a female, and I don't want the cramps that accompany my period every month.
My dad pretty much avoids talking about it, but there are three females in the house. He's just effed on that account. xD We're a very open family, so I learned not to be embarassed about it early on.

I was almost 14 when I first got mine <3 It's not unheard of or even odd to have it anywhere from 12-16 I think. So don't worry too much. If you are worried though because family trends say you should have started already you can make an appointment with your doctor and if (s)he can't tell you anything you could get a referral to a gynocologist.
My dad didn't freak out, but to be honest I never told him. haha. I don't tell my dad much of anything that involves the female body because he just wouldn't understand. But if I ask him to pick up Pads or Tampons for me when he went to the store he didn't have a problem with it. As long as I told him which brand/type I wanted so he didn't have to go back and return them for the right ones XD >.> I'm picky.
tampax pearl ftw.

I've never asked my dad to buy me pads my mum is always there for me =] I dont think my dad will buy the right things but i'm sure he wouldn't get embarrassed buying them. I don't really trust him to buy these kinds of things so yeah! Dont worry so much about getting your period!

I started mine a month before my 16th birthday. It was hell... The cramps here so bad.
The doctor told me because I had started so late that it was going to be painful T_T And it was. I got on "the pill" for a few months to try and fix the cramping and get it set on a date. Cause mine would come at any time it wanted it was never start the same day as last month. The pill helped me a lot the paint hasn't been never been to much for me to take anymore ^_^
But now at the age of 20 I'm thinking I need to go back on it. Cause this month has been really bad and it started later then it should have T_T and I wanna lay in bed all day with lots of meds and a heating pad

No, and I think you should be glad you haven't had it yet.
Have you had yours yet?
Yeah....... It's horrible. The week before is worse the the week you have it.
If so when did you have yours?
When I was 13.
Does your dad talk bout it.
If I had a dad... I would very much doubt it. My step dad on the other hand... No way.
Does your dad freak out about it?
I don't think dads would want to deal with such a thing.
