They also sparkle when they first appear. Like the red Gyrados did. Can't remember which one it was originally in, either. x.x

But it was the one that basically introduced shiny pokemon to many of the people playing the games.

Flink always used her Gyrados! She always named it after something in a song she was listening to at the time, too.

Flink listens to music when she plays video games. Even handheld ones. XD

And "Only Happy When it Rains" seemed to always come on in the rainy part of the last Pokemon game for handhelds. XD
