Laharl stuck his tounge out childishly.
"If you're so worried about Anna, then try not to die when Asylum hits!"

Flonne sighed exhasperated, Laharl seemed to be asking for trouble lately..she wondered if it was all the fresh air he was getting.
"Abel....from your memory...how hard does your sister hit?"

Martha looked increasingly ticked off. "How about you shut your mouth before I shut it for you!?!"


Abel appeared concerned. "Very, very hard. He'd best not do that... she's probably the reason Anna's so heavy-handed."
He sighed. "Between those two I imagine Laharl will get whacked quite the bit."

Laharl looked serious for the moment.
"She shouldn't be so worried, she had a chance before we came along...but now....it's Asylum who can't win." He waggled a finger as-a-matter-of-factly.
"But that doesn't mean Anna should get lazy, she's gotta pretty fair hand with that axe...I imagine if she had more time to practice she'd be even better."

She nodded.
"Yes I suppose that's very likely...Laharl doesn't seem to think tact is very important in an Overlord's diplomacy."

"Really? Well, I see. Glad you think that, then.", Martha said, standing back up straight. "She's very competitive over things, though. If she loses, especially to a guy, she'll get really annoyed with herself over it."
She nodded, as if knowing she was stating a fact. "Not that you seem to be much better about that stuff than she is..."
Snickering, Martha glanced away. "Infact you're alot like her... except you're a boy, and you're short."


Abel sighs, slapping his forehead. "Martha's not much better. She picks on everyone mercilessly. Probably because she got picked on, too..."
He stopped, looking up at her. "I've got an odd question... do demons actually... sleep? I mean... I do, but... what about them? No offense but I don't trust them awake on the ship all night without the Captain there or something."

"That seems really stupid, she should know that she has her own strengths." He paused...glaring.
"I'm NOT SHORT!!!" Laharl cried.
"Why does everyone think I'm short!!!???"

"Then they should get along pretty well." She smiled, wondering if she was right...they seemed too close in mannerisms to actually be any sort of friends...but then again...one could always hope.
She looked around, none of Laharl's vassals seemed even remotely tired...but then again...they always looked like that...they were so edgy.
"I'm not all that sure...I do at least."

Martha snickered. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you ARE short? Even Anna's taller than you..."
She laughed, stretching her arms. "I'm off. I should get some rest. Night, shorty."
With that, she stepped past him and headed inside, thus emptying Anna's actual crew members from the deck.

Abel laughed. "Well, you should probably get some rest soon, then. It may seem a little early, but, I can guarantee tomorrow will be insane enough that you'll be glad you got it."

"RWAR!!!" Laharl screamed the two locks of hair standing on end as though they had a life of their own.

"Looks like Laharl's going to have one more night." Flonne muttered yawning, she hadn't realized she was this tired, at least not until Abel had mentioned it.
"I'll get some sleep soon. I promise." She looked down at Abel.
"Shouldn't you be doing the same?" She asked.

Abel nodded. "I probably should, you're right..."

Etna flew down from the crow's nest, landing on her feet and looking over at Laharl. "Geez, someone's in a mood, I see."
Abel looked over at Laharl. Martha had certainly ticked him off. "Anyway..."
He looked back at Flonne. "I'll probably just sleep out here. It's been nice to be outside in the ocean air again..."

Etna stretched, tail swaying about, as usual. She was tired and there was no denying it, but she wasn't going to show it.

Flonne stood, placing Abel on the deck.
"Everyone seems to be settleing in for the night.." She looked over to where Dagger and Mint were sitting on the deck back to back, heads hung over their swords, Abbie and the others were all doing the same bows and staves crossed over their legs.
"They may not sleep, but it seems as though they get tired." She smiled and clasped her hands behind her back.
"Well...G'night!" She bounced away to latch onto Laharl and Etna.

Abel, seemingly immediatly, began to doze off. He was tired as could be; not only had he been working here, Etna worked him to the bone back in the Netherworld.


Speaking of Etna, she seemed startled by Flonne's sudden... erm, 'attack'. "Eesh, enthusiastic, much? Just don't do this to any of the pirates, I imagine they'll get mad about it."

Sunlight broke just over the skyline, and rays fell upon Laharl's face where he'd fell asleep on the railing. He mumbled and covered his eyes with a hand, rolling over...and onto the hard deck.
"What the--" He cried falling.
"Good Morning Laharl." Flonne said smiling.
"How are you today?"
"I was fine....then that damned sun..." He glared.
"What in hell are you so happy about?" She giggled.
"Oh I just watched the sun come over the waves and it was so pretty Laharl you--" He grunted and stood cutting her off.
"Don't know, don't CARE."

Inside, the most important discussion of the morning was taking place.

"So...", began Martha, putting her hands on her hips. "Who has to get Anna up?"
All of her crew grew almost deathly quiet, looking from one to the other. "Well..."

Martha looked over towards the orange haired girl, who looked nervous and waved her hands rapidly. "Y-you know how she gets when she's woken up!"
"Well, she NEEDS to get up!", Martha growled. "It's not like she can just freakin' sleep on all day, you know."
Everyone stood there for a few more minutes, looking at eachother, before pointing fingers and arguing more.


As for Abel, he'd already been up for a little while, wandering around deck blankly, for no reason other than to just look around and enjoy the scenery while he could.

Laharl stretched out, looking comically like a cat, his palms on the deck hunching his back to crack the vertabraes that had been rolled, and moved out of place in the night. He could have slept longer, if only someone would turn off that giant light in the sky.
"Damn..." He grumbled noticing no one else was awake...well...none of the Human crew at any rate..his vassals were always up and about....they were weird like that.
Well he wasn't going to stand by and wait for the other's convience to rise and shine, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and he walked inside, see if anyone was moving about in their cabins.

Everybody was still sitting in the main room, until Laharl walked in.

Martha looked over at him, raising a hand vaguely in greeting. "Hey, Shorty."
With that, she turned her attention back to the other crew members. "So, seriously, come on. Someone's gotta wake her up."
This time, a blonde man spoke up, looking vaguely frightened. "Last time I had to get her up, she punched me in the face..."
The orange haired girl shook her head. "She just scares me. I'm not waking her up. The Captain's crazy."

Martha sat there, looking frusturated. "So it's agreed, one of us stands at the door and throws stuff at her... and... gets... punched later?"

Laharl quirked an eyebrow, he'd been in a grumpy mood this morning....this might just be his chance to take it out on someone else.
"How about I go? I'm a lot....smaller than the rest of you and won't make as much noise, I can get Anna up and none of you will have to be involved."

Martha looked entertained. "Oh, that's an EXCELLENT idea, Laharl. If she smashes your tiny little head in, don't blame me."
She pointed towards one of the hallways. "Hers is all the way in the back. Like I said, she doesn't like being woken up."

Everyone snickered a little, grinning at eachother. This ought to be funny.

Laharl smirked at their snickers. Sure this was going to be real fun.

Anna's door opened with a creak and Laharl hit all fours as she turned and mumbled in her sleep. Slowly he crawled, taking cover behind chairs and desks as he edged closer to her bed. He looked so comical to any spectators, he hadn't even boticed that his tounge was sticking out in concentration.
He poked his head up next to Anna's ear when he got close enough and leaned in to whisper.
"Anna......Anna ♪" He smiled.
"There's a spider crawling near your head."

Anna instantly opened her eyes, sitting up straight and reaching a hand up to her head... until she noticed there wasn't... actually anything there.
She twitched, looking over at Laharl and grabbing him by one of the hair antennae. "What in the crap is wrong with you!?! Why do you think you can just freakin' march up in here and try to scare me!?!"

Besides, if there had been a spider in here, Demitri would've gotten rid of it; it was sort of his job.

Demon Nature. Well he wanted to say Demon NAture....but Demon Nature wouldn't let him take the fall.
"It was all Martha's idea!! She was all like 'Someone needs to wake Anna.' And I was 'No just let her sleep!' And then she goes 'Like hell, YOU go wake her!!!' And she told me to dooooo~ooo III~TTTTT!!!" He wriggled in her grasp trying to get away while not ripping out enormous chunks of hair while he did so.

Anna glared. "I doubt it. You probably thought it'd be all fun to come in here and tick me off!"
She raised a hand, probabhly with the intention to whack him, but after a moment sighed, letting go of his hair. "Pah, whatever. Just leave me alone about the spider thing! I should'nt had even told you about it."

Anna sunk back down into her bed, pulling the covers over her head. "I was up late lastnight, I decided I'd draw some. It's not like I've got much to be doin' today, anyway..."
Obviously Anna was procrastinating again, simply not feeling like getting up yet. "I already took you guys to Tortuga so there's not anywhere to be goin' today. That you'd like, anyway."

Laharl stumbled back when her grip lessened. He'd actually gotten away with it? Something was wrong with Anna...she'd usually want to beat him stupid after a stunt like that. He moved over to her desk and hopped into a chair sifting through the papers he found there.
"Say...you're not terrible." He said holding one of her drawings up.
"What is this thing? One of your 'sharks'?"

Anna looked a bit embarassed. She got like this whenever people found her drawings.
Upon hearing his question, she observed the drawing after pulling the cover back down, before nodding. "Yeah, that sure is. And, um, thanks... I've been doing it a long time, even before I got my pirate ship."


Anna sat up again, yawning and stretching her arms. "I'm not that good, though, but I enjoy it."

He sifted through more papers every so often looking back at Anna.
"You up yet? If I go back out there without you up and ready Martha's gonna be awfully pissed." He chuckled as he found pictures of spiders with x's for eyes and what appeared to be Anna's axe rammed through their abdomen...while others were torched beyond recognition. The morbidity of the pictures brighted Laharl's day considerably.

Anna nodded, grinning a bit. "Yeah, I'm up. I need to get my trenchcoat and all that crap, though, so I'll be a minute."
She pulled the covers off, sighing and scratching her head as she stood up. "Man, they rush me every mornin', even when there isn't anything to do. It sorta ticks me off. Leadin' people's a real pain..."

Noticing that he seemed to be interested in looking through the drawings, she picked up a stack of them on the night stand she did lastnight and pushed them under the bed while he wasn't looking.

He turned back with a bored stare on his face.
"You think you have it bad...try ruling over demons who want to kill you...that's always fun." He turned back around nosing through drawers and their contents.
"You'd better hurry....I think if you're away for much longer Martha's going to come in here herself and wake you...she seemed pretty antsy when I showed up."
