Vday items are pretty. XD I liked them when I first saw them on someone's avatar, and I didn't even know they were rares back then. ^^;
I guess the rarity of the vday items add to the appeal.

I have all the vday items I want. x3 Minus the pin I guess but I should be getting that later on. I have no idea how I managed to get the items. @[email protected] Months of nekkid questing and some help from people, probably. XD <3 And I have my friends to thank for the pin. ;3;
If I were to somehow obtain another vday item, I'd definitely give it to a friend doesn't have the item and wants it. <3 Vday items are so coveted; might as well give it to someone who'd truly appreciate and cherish the item. :3

I don't see why people need to buy more vday items when they already own the item. :? Unless you're giving that item to a friend or using it for a charity etc. >>;

I'm too lazy to talk about off-site trading. XD IT'S BAD. D:

But in the end, I think all this bad stuff about vday items stems from the users, not the items themselves. I know comparing Gaia and Mene is bad, but you're right about the rare items being more difficult to obtain after such a short length of time. x.x

*dont have much to argue*

but i really think vday items are one of the most beautiful items on this site. they are really wonderfully pixellete. it's not shocking that everyone would love to have it. it's nature of human to adore beautiful things. obtainnable or not obtainnable, it's all depends of people effort and luck. it's their choice to try to have or giving up.

If they bring up many problem, it's because they are rare and there weren't even 1000 user at this time. When Gaia release there first rare items, there was more user then here...
If there wasn't the v-day items, I think I'll would have given me more liberty from the start. O.o I tend to only concentrate on those >.< Most the Boa

Since, I'm still new here I don't know much about the items.

The Valentines items do look pretty...
I don't know if I'll be able to get them or not.

For now I'm trying to buy some articles of clothing to at least cover my nakedness up.
xD

I'll think about the pretty items later.

problem with them is that their price really IS impossible to get for most of the menewshans here XD i don't really understand why these items have to be so expensive... i mean, where in the world do they get all those thousands of gold??? it really seems impossible... if the site was old, something like gaia, then maybe 50k items are ok. but it's not XD

so what IF the admin suddenly decides to put up vday items up on sale for next year? XD that would cause a riot... so i guess that's not gonna happen... XD

I couldn't agree more. The Valentine's Hairpin was the best item, in my eyes. I tried getting up money within the first week, but even then the price had risen from 4,500 to 8,000 at least.

As if that didn't make me livid enough, within the next week they shot up to 22,500. And the other 5 items were on their way to following the same trend. It was around then I started to give up, but even now I see them and they're all about 40k or more? How ridiculous is that?

I do think the inflation of them is already a bit ridiculous, and there's no possible way no one is going to be willing to sell/able to buy. For those of you that have the sets, or even just one item. . . I envvyyyyy youuuuu~ D<

I have given up any hope of ever having either V-Day items or St Patty's Day items. I will adore them from afar but quite honestly I am currently questing for commons and I have a hard time scraping enough gold together to complete this quest, much less scrape together the 40K necessary to buy the V-Day stuff.

I agree that if the V-Day items did not exist, the St. Patty's Day items would be the next target, although I do also agree that the inflation and the problem with the offsite trading would not be as bad since there are more St. Patty's Day items in existence.

There are some of us who yes, have an extra cloak set or an extra crown that we could sell to someone who really wants them. (I only have the crown on my head and one cloak set since I can't afford to donate a ton.) The unfortunate thing that I have seen here is that want is just a ploy to get someone to part with the item so that the person can turn around and sell it for a higher price. I have a friend who sold her queen's crown to someone who kept pming her telling her how much she loved and wanted it, only to find out later after she sold it that this person turned around and used it in a trade for a king's crown. While I understand that once the trade is final the item is the other person's to do what they want with it, but those kind of experiences don't lend themselves well to people wanting to sell their items. No one likes getting burned.

I don't like red so much... so I don't really have an obsession of ever trying to get those items. They are pretty, but not my type of items I guess. I like pink, blue, black, white, etc. Red isn't my favorite color.

They are really pricey though. O_O That's crazy. They haven't even been out a year yet. O___O

I'm at the moment, questing for a Vday Pin, but surely it's impossible now. It's tripled in price in just 2 weeks. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. What most outrages me is that even if these people aren't faithful to Menewsha, and just was active for the Valentines Day Event, they could very well sell it and become so very rich, while other REALLY faithful, active members would find it nearly impossible to afford.

Mm, I almost wish they were erased from existence, but that wouldn't be fair now, would it? :P
The Vday Pin=Gaia's Angelic Halo.

Ugh, the V Day items drive me crazy too. ;.; I too joined in March and they were already way too expensive for me to have any hope of getting. x.x I figure I'll probably never get any of them at this rate. I hate it. I wish sites wouldn't release things as a one time only thing. It'd be nice if they'd at least release them more than once. Like next year or something.

How can I put this that it will sound.. logical? I'm not sure at the moment how to describe it.

I don't want to sound snooty and say that you guys should get over it or anything, because that is beyond rude. But I do think that accepting that the items will always be wanted to some extent is necessary, because there will always be a warrant for these particular items. I also don't want this to sound demeaning, but I feel that it's awful of all of you to allow yourselves to think that you will never be able to achieve these items. You give up too quickly by telling yourselves that you could never achieve these items, and it allots a sense of hopelessness amongst others who look up to certain people here for their.. influence? (moderators)

In reference to the supply and demand factor in determining who may or may not be able to get these items, you do have to acknowledge that there are only so many sets of these items. I highly doubt that they will last long once the overall population of Menewsha grows to a certain extent; you could even recognize that the Valentine's Day Hairpin may become the Angelic Halo of Menewsha. Eventually it will become something of a novelty item that everyone wishes they had. But novelties can sometimes be unexpected surprises to people. Even on Gaia, where so few Halos exist, on rare occasion one will be sold to others. I feel that you just have to have hope.. and to be prosperous. Work for the item you want now before they're all gone.

I would also like to address the very reason why this thread was made; what would it be like if the Valentine's Day items didn't exist? Well, like previously mentioned, it would be the St. Patrick's Day items that would move to the forefront of the market much like the Valentine's Day items are now. The only difference in the two, is that I believe more St. Patrick's Day items were processed and created than the Valentine's Day items, and thus there are more possibilities of owning such items.
