I didn't see a thread dedicated to them, and I think that Amanda and Brian highly need one. I adore them. They have such energy and chemistry together, I love the mime like look they have, I love Amanda's voice, and I love their lyrics. I don't think I can honestly say I dislike a single one of their songs.
My favourite? I don't think I have one. I like Missed Me, Mrs. O, Delilah, Half Jack, and... God I'd just wind up naming all their songs.

I love the Dresden Dolls. I like how they created a new kind of sound, and the fact that there's just the two of them. Amanda is a really powerful person. I can't really choose my favourite song but it'd be a tie between Backstabber and My Alcoholic Friends.

♥ I can say without a doubt that the Dolls are my favorite band to date, closely followed by Regina Spektor. They are simply stunning to see live. I was honored to be able to go to one of their shows in October, and I think it was the best night of my life. Amanda and Brian are both just bursting with talent, originality, artistry, and personality. I’ve never seen any two people produce as much sound, power, and absolutely beautiful, moving music. Amanda Palmer is my hero, for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard a true alto before, since most women (even if they sing alto in chorus or whatnot) become sopranos in their later years. Amanda’s range is amazing though, and I adore her deep voice and Bostonian accent. Heee. I could never pick just one favorite song by them, but lately I’ve been listening to “Me & the Minibar” quite often, and I’m in love with “Truce,” “Sing,” “Gravity,” “Bad Habit,” “Bank of Boston Beauty Queen,” and several others for their own little reasons. Every album is great, and they’ve turned me on to an entirely new world of music that I’ve grown to love above all others.
Not only are they talented together, but solo, as well. I believe the band is taking a break at the moment, and Brian has gone off to drum with another of my favorite bands, HUMANWINE, and I think they’ll be recording an album together. I know Amanda is working on her solo album in Ben Folds’ studio. They’re great together or apart, it’s wonderful.
Anyway, I hope I didn’t talk anyone’s ears off. I just love the Dolls. Punk Cabaret is Freedom! Long Live the Punk Cabaret! ♥ ♥ ♥

I love the fact that they can incorporate a piano into their music, and it sounds right. I have a CD with them on it... What's it called?... Hm... Let me go check.
Ah, here it is. "A Dark Cabaret". I got it for Christmas last year. Of course I'd heard of them quite a few years before then but never actually owned anything of their's. They even played them on my work radio before, When I worked at HT, sometimes they would come on over the store radio.
I like them. And their photos are always really well done as well ^.^;

Agreed.
Coin Operated Boy was the first Dresden Dolls song I ever heard. After that I went and got the CDs. I never get tired of listening to them. <3

I loooove the Dresden Dolls.
I am so upset that I'm going to be away when they come to NJ. I have never seen them live and I have liked them around 4 years. They are amazing and just so talented beyond words. No other group can replicate their sound... it's just so indescribable.

Oh, I absolutely love The Dresden Dolls <3 They are AMAZING, and their music is really original. A few days ago passed one year since I get to know them.
Amanda Palmer has amazing voice, different from voices of female vocalists of other bands I listen to. And this piano, which made their music so specific, is wonderful.
Favouirite songs? There are a lot of them! Half Jack (one of firsts songs I heard, and first which I started to hum, even if I don't know the title ;3 sentiments forever!), My Alcoholic Friends, Backstabber, Shores of California, Sex Changes, Coin Operated Boy, Good Day... And others! <3
*I'm really bad at choosing only a few favourites XD*
I hope that one day they come to my country x3
*Only dreams, I know*

- They're wonderful, I only have a few of their songs, but I love them all. Sing and Half Jack are probably my favourites, even though I think they're all really good. They are very unique and talented.

I've only heard of them. There was a feature in AP about them once and I remember them being very stylish in the photograph. Does she have her eyebrows tattooed? It looks like it.

They sang 'Coin Operated Boy' right?
There's another song I heard from them, I can't remember but I loved it as well.
I haven't got the chance to look for their other songs, I will later. :D

I haven't listened to them for some time but I do enjoy their music. The first song I heard a lot of and loved was Girl Anachronism. Me and my friends spent ages learning all the words and then actually being able to fit them into the tune.
Good Day was probably my favourite song... but it seems to have gotten lost between my old and new computers!

They are an amazing band. :D
I quite like the album "yes, virginia". The other album didn't get my attention as much as the second album.
I am yet to hear "No, Virginia".
They have some brilliant music videos too. :D

Yes, Virginia actually left kind of a sour taste in my mouth, with a few exceptions.
I enjoyed their first two albums more than that one, and I haven't given a listen to No, Virginia since it appears it's all leftover songs. (A b-side, a few demo recordings, etc)

I used to adore The Dresden Dolls. But. They just aren't that great to me anymore.

Thirty Whacks, however, remains a good song, and I'm still in love with Half Jack.

Eyebrows - it's all about Amanda's eyebrows - That and I like my boys very pale!
This band is all about incorporating EVERYTHING! into their music. Everything that counts anyway - The lyrics I find to be very refreshing. Passion, adoration, power - all angsty mixed in. It's nice - It's very different. I love the visuals in the music videos.
Sing would have to be my anthem of the moment. I really do feel like - people are losing soemthing if they can't belt one out every once in a while. Yes - I'm one of those people that sing with the band / singer when I go to concerts. I dance around as well. Yup - I'm one of those people.
I do think Amanda is sometimes very harsh in her singing, but that's just her show of love for the music. I think the band is very inspirational...
