what era would you like to live in? i would love to be born in the 50s and then have my teens in the 70s and so on ^^.

That's actually an interesting question now that I actually found this topic. Even if no one replied yet...

I would love to live in the 1400's, when the medieval ages were strong and at it's "best" for lack of a better word.

I love that age and I would love living in it.. though to become my dream I'd have to dress up as a boy. >.>

I also think the Medieval ages would be awesome, but the way how they
still thread woman there, I think it would kill me. It is not a fantasy world you live in...
between 50's and 70's would also be cool XD

I know that, I know it's not how author's portray it. But that's not why I would want to live there but that even before I picked up a book on medieval fantasy my mind has always been at those times and the fantasy part just keeps my imagination alive.

Um.. honestly thinking, I don't have a specific era I'd like to be in, expect the future, as fore-mentioned. Gender equality and all that whatnot. wasn't around in the past.

And though I'd hate to admit it, I probably wouldn't be able to muster up the courage of cross-dressing. xD;

I'd really like the live 60's-70's. Or grow up during those times.

I wish I could just go through past and see what all the times were like.

I've always wanted to live in the 1800s - either in Southern America (like Gone with the Wind), or in England (with the society and balls). Usually I'm not much of a partier, but I think dressing up with those beautiful dresses and dancing all night sounds like so much fun!

And it's not like today dancing either, ya know? I've always wanted to learn how to waltz.

If I were to live in another era in another country, I think it would be awesome to live in the Kamakura era in Japan. I'll admit to wanting to see a real live samurai. :oops: <3<3

The Victorian era. Of course, I wouldn't have much to do then and my life would be a bit boring, but I just adore the style. If I was born in some semi-rich middle-class family, that would be nice enough.

I want to live in the 70's or 80's cuz it was cool and I could listen to funk and soul and I wanted to go to a soul train show on day. :o

Around the time of slavery- Slavery is a very interesting topic to me, and Id like to see what it really was like then. Better yet, I can maybe be a slave my self.

I'm all for the midevial rennisance (sp on both?) time period. I know they had the black plague and whatnot, but it would still be fun.

I would've liked to have been born around the 40's or 50's. It's pretty difficult to accomplish my real dream in these days when women are viewed and treated more like men, and people expect us to be going out and getting great full time jobs all the same. All I want to do is to be a stay at home mum, and it seems like I never will achieve that unless I get married to some rich guy. :\

I would have loved to live in the 50's-60o's. Elves, The end of Marilyn Monroe :(, lots of neat things happened then!

I wish I could have grown up in the 80's. I love the music and I love the clothes and trends, and I'm tired of people staring at me in the mall when I am wearing my normal clothes, which are very 80's in the way I layer and match. XD

Either that or Victorian England-but only if I was one of the tonne. Because being poor back then sucked. XD

Hmm, most likely in the Renaissance era. I go to a Renaissance fair every year, and I absolutely adore the clothing, architecture, and lifestyle in that time. Plus, they have really great food, too. x)
