I am getting married this year as well. October 26th actually. Congratulations to the both of us, huh? ^^ <3
When I was little, I never envisioned a wedding that was flashy or exuberant. I figure, hey... I should be grateful enough that I have someone I can trust and love enough to call my husband, and vice-versa.
I don't think weddings should be about how "big and expensive" they can be. Anything we've set up has been the least expensive route. If people want to put money into our wedding, I'd much rather they give it to us as a gift. We're going to be trying for our first (and probably only) child soon, and if we can get our bills shaved down, it'll give us a proverbial "clean slate" when the little one arrives.
Hn. It's just dawned on me how many "adult things" have gone on over the past year for me. Scary. :s

I'm already married, and it was awesome.
His family didn't come since they were all out of state from where the wedding was.
But I swear I loved my wedding cake so much, that and my dress really
stands out in my mind besides my husband smile on his face when he saw me walk down the isle. I love weddings. <3 I always watching bridezilla when it comes on WE. :)

My future husband's family is states away from mine, but they're going to do their best to get out here. I think it's a big hassle, but there is no middle ground. Someone would have to go to the other place, unless we just decided to run away and elope. People would be a wee bit upset at that. (My grandmother is currently reading over my shoulder and she chuckled.)

I just found out that mine might be smaller than I originally thought. o.o That's perfectly fine by me, but we might need to think of something else if only 20 people will be there.
I also heard yesterday that two of my other friends from high school are getting married, too. One in August, and one I think is just engaged for now. I'm happy for them. ^_^;;
Rvaya, do you ever think things like, "One day I'll be Mrs. -----"? While I don't feel exactly awkward, I do find it odd that I'll no longer have my usual name. I won't say, "Hi, I'm --------!"
My initials will become KKK. xDDD;;;

WELL, I want my wedding day to be simple <3
Beach, a plastic ring, I dont really care.
Screw the expensive flowers that no one even notices, screw inviting a million people!
As long as we both have fun~

I've always thought mine would be like, a "different" wedding. Not the original white gowns and shiz, but maybe something neat like a japanese theme or something. With a red wedding gown and yummy japanese snacks and treats. <3
Something that will be memorable~ n______n

I would quite like to get married in a church; not because I'm religious, but because it's kind of 'traditional'. I'd be wearing a lovely white dress and I'll have my hair put up and styled my a hairdresser :3 <3
Not quite sure what we'd eat, maybe something simple like... chicken salad, nothing over-done or too fancy :) I'd have a sponge cake for a wedding cake, with butter cream and jam for a filling @ [email protected];
And then there'd be a party afterwards! With music and dancing, with everyone happy. When the day comes, I hope it's as good as I hope it will be :D

I imagine my wedding would be pretty simple. I'd like to have it in the mountains of the state I live in because they're absolutely beautiful. :3
I'd probably choose a flowing, white dress with light pink trim. The bouquet would be HUGE and made with vines and pink/white roses. The cake would be pretty small with 3 layers; two of them would be regular yellow cake and the other would be chocolate cake. It'd have white icing and pink roses! Hopefully, I could dance with my new husband to the song "Angel of Mine" and have a nice honeymoon night on the beach. ^___^
Okay... maybe that's not too simple. xD

If I ever do get married, and I don't know if I want to, it is going to be a beautiful and simple day. I'm not going to spend a ton on a gown that I will wear once. I want just a small service, with lots of flowers and then afterwards we would have a simple dinner with tons and tons of dancing.

Hmm my wedding day. I hope I don't sound like a crazy person when I say this..But I have it all planned out! From the colors to the time and date.
When I get married I want to have a white wedding dress that has red trimming around it, most likely a cherry color. There will be the color cherry and white and a few hints of pink. Flowers will cascade from the chairs because it is going to be an outside wedding, in the fall; most on November 17th. At sun down; when the sky is beautiful.
With sheer tents for the reception so that I can see the stars and hopefully I will get married on the night of a full moon so that it is more beautiful outside. All I need now is a groom. Everything else is almost decided and I really hope that there will be no drama on that because if there is; I would most likely just cry. lol.
Those are just dreams though, I can't plan on getting married until I get a guy snatched up and such; so yeah. Just little hopeful dreams. Oh and I have this so planned out; I even know what the song is going to be. I am such a dork. xD
I suppose getting married is everyones dream though right?

That sounds lovely!
:D the red-trimmed dress, especially. I wonder what colors the wedding party would wear?
Myself?
I've been through two outdoor weddings in spring mountains, and both have been a soppy, snowy mess. So, no springtime for me.
I'd want a wedding in late August/Early September, later in the afternoon so that the sun is setting. It would be indoors, (if I've the money, it would be at a chapel in Red Rocks Park. Can you imagine? all those beautiful rocks, on fire in the dying sunlight?). I don't really know about colors. I would really like to have a tuxedo-style wedding. That is, black-and-white with a few subtle hints of texture and color. I also think it would be a hoot to have the groomsmen in white tuxes and the bridesmaids in black gowns. :D
If I can't do that, then I'd like to have the accompanying colors be something suitably fall-toned...that lovely burnt orange, maybe, or russet. Or both. :D That would make me so happy.
A small reception, I think, in one of my favorite eateries. Maybe a respectable Irish Pub, although that's an oxymoron in itself. xD. Maybe we could get them to clear a little space for dancing. If not, I wouldn't really cry. No open bar, though. I won't be responsible for that. *shudder*
Now, to find the groom is the hard part. xP

Ah! My favorite discussion lately!
So yeah. I am getting married in September of this year, and I am so excited. I guess it all starts with the night before. The bachelor and bachelorette parties. I have no idea what the guys are doing, but my bridesmaids and I will be camping out in my parents backyard, having the little party with movies, food, games, and favors. I have gotten these little charms for each of them, because there are six of us, and it is a tradition long held in my family. Each of the charms will represent something and each of them are silver. The bouquet, the garter, the veil, the candle, the ring and the cake. ^ ^ I am so excited!
Then, the next morning, the girls and I will call the guys and remind them what time the wedding party is meeting, then spend a day of primping and feeling girlish for possibly the first time in our lives (and maybe the last). I'll get into the dress I have started working on this month, and I will wait in the back room with my dad. We'll have a traditional ceremony done by a Rikki Healer (sort of a wiccan priest in a way, but not really(for the people who don't know what a Rikki healer is).). After the ceremony, we will throw the bouquet and garter, then go to the reception where the speeches are given, then dancing and dinner into the sunset.
It'll be beautiful! And almost all of it is planned!

I don't really want to get married, but if I did... It would definitely be in Paris. I've only been there once before, but I completely fell in love with the place <3 Not sure exactly where, all I know is that I wouldn't want a traditional church wedding. My uncle got married on a mountain top, and I think I'd like to do something unusual like that. My dress would be cream-colored and absolutely beautiful, but not too traditional. The wedding would be rather small, just closest family and friends. Afterwards we would have the reception in a luxurious penthouse suite, and everyone would drink champagne and be happy <3

You'd think so huh? But from what it sounds like less people plan it out as well as you have.
Movies and media always make you think every girl has got it planned out by the age of 15 n_n;

My wedding is imaginary. BUT I do know most aspects of my friend's wedding. : D We've spent our fair share of time wandering through bridal stores and critiquing dresses, watching Bridezilla, and joking about astroturf decorations. She mentioned she wanted green hydrangeas as a large part of her flower arrangements. I think flowers help make weddings so beautiful (the color and scents).

I have a feeling my wedding day, if it ever comes, will be hecktic and stressful. My entire family would have to be there and I'm close to everyone in the family, aunts, uncles, cousins, so they would all attend on both side of my mom and dad and then there would probably be my soon to be husbands family so just the two groups clashing I'm sure would bring up all sorts of interesting conflicts and conversations.
I would want an outside one. No inside crap. My cousin had one at Cape cod and it was so gorgeous. I would love to have one like hers, except it was so expensive.
Pretty dress is a must. Seafood as part of the dinner. And NO dancing. I suck at dancing. And a cake with LOADs of frosting. That would be am AMAZING wedding.
No religious stuff either. Not a fan haha.
