I would probably be the same. There's no use informing everyone you've updated when someone else will come and change the bid in 10 minutes, and you have to do it all over again!

Congradulations to every body. every bid after this post does not count and any before this will.
Edit: Megami: I'm sorry, but I believe you have broken the rule of not outbidding by 1000g. And you have enhanced it by 1500g.

Since the exchange thread is not the place for debate, I will address this issue here.
As I understand the rule you are referring to, not being allowed to bid more then 1k when we are updating our bid, it means that if I am the high bidder of 6k and no one has outbidded me in a few days I am allowed to update my bid as I have earned more gold and am nervous someone else may bid then I may add up to 1k of gold making my bid 7k. Anything more than 1k will not be allowed when UPDATING a bid. Therefore, since NoirAngel bid after me, my next bid of 8k is acceptable. I believe this to be true.
Also, I do not remember seeing an announcement listing you as moderator.
I will leave this matter to Aeris's good judgement. <3

And the same thing happened with me and purplejesseh.
My last bid was 5k and then she over bid me by 6.7k which the increase was 1.7k. Me too, I don't know if it's again the rules or not. >.<
So I will also leave this to your better judgment, Aeris.

I'm not going to argue with you but she clearly meant she was trying to get another STAFF MEMBER to lock the thread at the auction end time. <3

Please let me know what the final judgement of this auction is Aeris for me and other bidders in the auction, wings, are both consirded that we are reading the rule correct or incorrect.
I've had many people tell me I've won, Unforgiven, being one of them, but then I've read the rule over and over wanted to know if this is a mistake or if I and others are correct about me winning.
All I know is that my last bid was 6.5k and kin bid 8k which would be 1.5k over my last bid, or anyone's last bid for the hairpin. If the rule does not go that way I also see that kin's second to last bid was 6k and then she bid 8k which would still be 2k more over HER current bid.
So really what I would like to know is if the rule goes with my bids against hers or just the fact that she still bid 1k over her current bid?
I am heading off for the night cus' I'm very tired and have to work tom, but please contact me with your judgement on this situation as soon as possible and let me know clearly what has happened.
Thank you for your time and your wonderful hard work with the auction and helping others.
Noir~

- I was confused about that as well. I thought updating your bid would be where you yourself placed the last bid on that item. I thought that rule was implied when updating bids. I hope this issue will be solved. ^^;;
I won't be online for a few days, I'll check the results of the auction when i get back...

from what I understood of the rule and from what I have seen happen in past auctions, I do believe that kin is correct. She is allowed to bid however much she wants, as long as its over 50g from the last bid, and the last bid was not her own. The 1k rule applies only if you are bidding 2 times in a row.

- The rule says "If you are updating your bid...". Which is what Kin explained.
Anyways, congrats to everyone. ^-^ There will be plenty more auctions to come so even if you didn't win anything now there'll be other chances later. :3
The whole Unforgiven ending the auction is confusing though, you'd think Aeris would've said something about it if she couldn't be here herself to end it. xD;; As in official statement in the bidding thread or this thread. o3o

Kin has one, as has purplehjessie.
The rule only stands that you cannot upgrade your own bid by more than 1k. Thus, lets say you bid 8k and want to bid 2k more to add on to your offer. I do allow you to add on to your offer, but 1k is the maxium amount that you can upgrade it.
I have no restrictions on however high you want to bid - Though, usually I try to lessen the amount if it's 10k or over. Since neither of them have done thusly, they have won fairly.
Sorry for all the confusion.

Aeris, I have a question I wanted to ask; better to be sure than relatively sure.
From reading the rules, I'm under the impression that an individual is allowed to bid on two items, so long as they are not a crown AND a Valentine item. For example, bidding on a crown and welcome item, or a crown and an Easter set, or a welcome item and Easter set.
Is it okay to bid on more than one item?
I understand that it is risky, because you can't retract a bid to re-bid that gold on another item. You can however, use that gold if you are outbid (I suppose.) I'm wanting to participate in this next auction, but do not want to break a rule. I didn't see a rule specifically saying "a user can only bid on one item" and am not sure if there are formalities regarding it.

You can only bid on one item per auction. Just one. So if you want a v-day item and you bid on one you may not bid on a crown at the same time. However, if you are outbid on an item and you wish to bid on another you may do so. But we are not allowed to win more than once per auction. Hope this helps. <3

It does help - I knew that you can't bid on a crown and Valentine item; just wasn't sure if there was an overall "only 1 item" rule. Thank you, kin no megami. :)
