Well if you are referring to the guy who raised his own bid over 1k than Zweres already dealt with that by banning him from this week's auction.

Zweres, you sent me a pm and everything but I suppose I still need to wait to be validated in the main thread. I don't want to take any chances so I'll wait.

I thought so, but I want to see what Zweres will do. I wonder if all those bids will be voided or what. (Every time I think the bids will be lowed they only jump higher :p)
Minuxe: That person bid again before their initial bid was accepted, thats why they were banned. This is concerning another member.

The bids that had the crown jump up a load, so I'm going to deflate it a bit' by lowering it x amount. That amount will be how much that person who made the King's Crown bid jump by, because those bids are basically nulled.
:) Nephila - I will change that once I update the bids again, thanks for the reminder of that.

I really think that for the next round or so, you should change the rules so there is a maximum amount someone can bid over another person. It's been stressed that the name of the game is deflation, but when people make jumps of up to 1k over prior prices, it's really depressing.
Maybe the maximum should be in the low hundreds?
I'm just saying this since I think it's ridiculous for people to have to go from bidding in the hundreds to bidding in the high thousands in a matter of a day or so.

@Shadow: O I see... Zweres already explained what was done anyways.
@Suteki: I would like to see a rule put where you can't bid more than x amount higher than another person's bid instead of the rule only covering how much you raise your own bid. Those people are just making everything worse for others and themselves, so it is a lose-lose situation ><

@Minuxe: That's what I was meaning, though it should be for both bidding against someone and raising your own bid. It is true that it's a lose-lose. I don't even get why people do it :s

oh so that is why the auction is so nice. sadly i don't like what is currently in the auction, i am not a big V-day person. Also feel like they do a good job of giving it to users who want it, so i figure wait till the ones i want are up.

Yes, rules will be edited for the next auction. :) Especially about how much you can raise your bid by.

Sorry for being a nag, but since the auction ends tomorrow could you possibly validate my bid maybe today? I just want to make sure I can bid in time. Thank you. ^^

I'm worried that a bid raising limit would cause a problem in the last few minutes of the auction, though. Like, if a bid is at 1000g, and the max you can raise is a 1000, four people will raise it that much, and only the first person's bid would count. Like, it would cause problems then D: But then it might not.

[ s u k i ~ s h i n e ], I sent you a PM back. :) Thank you.
Purplejesseh - This Saturday I won't be available, so I'm sorry about that.
What I might do is that you can only bid once per day until the last day. But I know there are mixed reactions if I did that. ^^ Just wanting some input.

Mmm... Unless you put a bidding cap on, though, people could still jump the price a LOT in their first bid. :? I don't know what the best solution is. (A maximum amount for the bid is the best thing that I can think of, but I don't know how many/if any problems that could raise.)

The one-a-day until the last day may be a bit much, but I do agree about a max bid amount until the last day. On the first day of bidding, people were throwing bids in constantly like it was the last 10 minutes
Maybe a combination of bids per day until the last day and a maximum amount you can bid over someone else would be a good solution, especially since there will probably be a ton of bidders on the V-day Pin next round.

What if the bidding cap was in effect until the last say 30 minutes of the auction or something? That way when the last minute bids come flooding in you won't have to worry about radical jumps...or better yet in the last minutes have the cap raise to 1k. Since I highly doubt someone would really want bid more than that right before the end.

when I won the pendant I only raised the bid by about 350 :P no one else had bid until after it had ended. So not everyone will raise the bid 1k. Specially because not everyone has an extra 1k to blow on something. >.< Or is willing to spend all of their gold one item. 1k is a lot. even for me it's about 3 days of posting D: Besides, any auction the last minutes are the ones that count. So even if they do all put in the same amount the one who gets it in first is the winner. easy as that. It's how these auctions have been dealt with in the past.

Quick question--someone was just banned from this week's auctions, and after their bid (which was almost 1k up from the last one), the bid got quite high. x0x;; So is the current HB just the most recent bid? :[ 'Cause jeez.. it went way up after they bid. XD;;

Shadow - Yes, I did edit the bids. :) The bids are correctly updated on a word document, that is open on my computer right now.
Meredy - Yes, you would since it's the last day.
Kadrias - I don't think I am going to do what I did with the crown, as the Pin is bound to soar that and even higher, as the bid isn't too much. I might though, but I'll come to the decision near the end depending on how much the pin goes for.
