Well my friend was hacked too, and thats why i thought nothing of the login page. Because i trusted her. But hey, seems like I can't trust anyone these days on online games.

I agree, hackers should just die. My best friend was hacked on Gaia...she fell for one of those super-fake PMs that said they were an admin and needed to get her password to check her trade history. I thought "Wtf how could someone ever fall for that?!" It's crazy.

One time I got a PM from someone claiming to be a mod saying the same thing, but they used old pictures from Gaia so it looked really professional and official. A lot of people would fall for that. I didn't. ;3

They even have that thing on top that says "Don't give ANYONE your password, mods and admins will NEVER ask for it" blah blah blah. And people just ignore it. Sometimes I don't know if it's the hacker's fault or the account owner's fault for getting hacked when they fall for something like that.

I have been hacked on Gaiaonline in the past, I was personally pretty mad of how someone would do that.

At the moment, thankfully, no user has gotten hacked that I know of.

Myself, and my friend, but his issue was that he gave his password to his friend, and well, sometimes friends arn't always friends.

I personally don't know how did I get hacked that time in January, I remember clicking around, just simple lurking, and I got kicked out, I attempt to log back in, and I couldn't, I freaked out a little, and thankfully they did not change my e mail address, and aquired a new password, and got in. I lost all my gold, and 12 of my favorite items, mostly gifts. I stopped by logging out so the hacker could log out as well, and I got back in, and I never had that problem again.

I've never got hacked or even had a hack attempt. I think it has something to do with that I don't have a lot of gold or valuable items.

It's gotten to the point on Gaia, I'm scared to take donations from anyone I don't know, and I'm a little nervous to buy and sell stuff off of the Marketplace. It's really sad that it has to come to hacking. =(

hacking is just another word to cover the fact that it's stealing.

I was hacked and almost everything was given away, NOT even sold I only got my nm minis /ju03 shoes and a few other items back, I was hella mad but just glad to have gotten some of it back

A few years ago.
Back in early '05-'06.
I hacked over 80+ people.
It was quite easy and fun.
I did it to get back to this one hacker who stole everything in my first account.
And to show others not to be so stupid.
