I always tell myself, it could be worst

atleast it was just virtual money, if the hacker would have gone out of his way to hack your credit card number and your account number

than that issue will truly effect you.. I lost an account before to some hacker. I was like.. whoa, if would have asked nicely I could have donated but what ever. Sad yeah, I never give out any information to anyone regarding passwords or anything related to me.

Yes, me. One person hacked all my items, half-mill total. But my friends have been great, helping me to get my items back.

I hack on Maplestory. Nono, not accounts. I don't ask for passwords either. I just use godmode to make sure nothing hits me, then I go to the really tough monsters. ^^; Am I doing it for fame? For glory? Nope. Just for fun. And I use the really remote servers, where there's no one who'd really be affected by my hacking.

Hackers and scammers are very annoying. I have never been hacked, but people have tried to scam me before. Luckily I've never fallen for it, but it is still annoying. It is a game, and people should earn gold honestly instead of trying to cheat. I don't think hackers should burn in hell, but they certainly need to get a life.

I don't have enough stuff on Gaia to get hacked. ^^; No one cares about the stuff I have. Haha.

But I do know many nice people who got hacked and I feel very badly for them.

I hate it when people do stuff like that, it's stupid and low. I dont see why people hack to just for a bunch of pixel crap. They could stop being so damn lazy and earn the gold themselves instead of hacking people for it. >.<

But there are some really nice people there and a lot of the reason I still go to gaia is because of the guilds i'm in and my friends. And the other reason is because I like the avatars and clothing. XD lol

Yeah, it seems that almost any online site be it a forum or game is constantly plagued by hackers. Its annoying and pathetic, especially since in most cases, it isn't hard to get items or make money, or level your character. People are just lazy, and usually its just because they can do it that they do.

I Never got hacked before on Gaia, Here neither Hope i don`t get hacked either.I have a friend THat got hacked Back in Like 2005 Then then Lunar cloak and coco kitty and all his stuff were all like 5-7k.And Now The Stuff he lost all went up in Price By like 30-70k.I feel bad for him.

I seriously think my GaiaOnline account was hacked -- it was fine one evening, but I woke up the next morning to find that it had been permanently banned due to "botting" gold. Now, I didn't have much gold on there anyway -- maybe about 10k because I could never earn a lot at all (what with only being able to post and do puzzles). Of course, Gaia was wrong in their decision to terminate my account seeing as I hadn't done anything. The only possible explanation I could have for it besides someone hacking my account and doing God knows what would be the whole ridiculous "profiting from botting" speech they love pimping -- say you traded an item for some gold with a user, but that user botted the gold. How would you know? That's the reason they gave when I asked why I was banned. So, it's either that stupid reason or a hacker. Regardless, I hate the way Gaia's run. I won't go back for those reasons and the fact that the community is horrible.

Course, I was eight and I hadn't been on it much, but I couldn't log on one day because it said my password was invalid (nah, I didn't forget it). My pets had been given up for adoption and replaced with new oddly named pets. *Shrug*

I hate it. I can't stand the notion of it, and I don't understand how people derive so much pleasure from it. Of course, today, people could care less for each other and not worry about harming the innocent. Especially when it comes to the internet and there's no sure fire way of hunting them down.

Story:
So this happened when I was still a Noob and all my items added up together only made around 20K.
This is back when I thought begging for donations was okay! Dx
So I was just going around saying "If anyone would help donate for my quest, Itd be appreciated" and some guy said that hell donate 2K but there was a catch:
He had to send 20K to me, then send 18K of it to his mule because he said his trading wouldnt work with his mule. (And I was a newb so I believed him.)
He said in order for him to trust me with this 20K I would have to give him something valuable to him until I returned his 18K, so I have him my bunny ears, and being a noobie, these were highly valuable and cherished. I had worked a full 3 days on them! (xD)
So he kept it and ran off. ):
Ah well. Not the same thing as you though, I fell for this willingly, you were tricked with no way to avoid it!
