Emo or goth, Sadey? <3

Explain to me the difference between Emo and goth. I just don't get it.

Gah, I'm a bad person to ask that. XD I randomly throw these labels around for a joke, but I don't believe in them or use them genuinely.

I think an emo is just someone who goes "woe is me" and "the world is such a dark and lonely place" for small things, while goths are more "I hate the world and everyone on it" and "being death must be fun".

Hm.... I don't really know the exact difference between an emo and goth, I just know they are pretty similar xDxD

Although Sade does have a very dark and depressing outfit on!

*laughs* I qualify as emo way too much of the time.

Well that does make it more understandable to me.

Both are, of course, also, very different when it comes to clothes. Emo is black and white, thick glasses, a bit shabby; while goth is leather, studs, black clothes and long black hair (though short purple hair has been "in" too).

Admittedly though, a friend of mine calls herself emo, but she's one of the most talkative, cheerful people I know. XD
