I was lurking for a few days/a week because I just didn't feel like chatting/typing. I instead watched everyone else and looked for candy. They don't block sites there but we're not allowed to use the internet in the back and in the front we're really only supposed to use it for stuff like google or directions - stuff clients need us to look up.

The staff gets around it by using their phones to instant message or what have you. I may get a phone with internet eventually myself if I am at this job long enough. I think it would be worth it. We're not restricted about using our phones as long as we do our work. Anyway, I'm still new and haven't even gotten to the new employee evaluation yet so....I'm trying to lay low and only be noticed for positive things. Like the other day when I got the names of all the companies we had to send invoices out to for my boss. I had thrown out the list from the day I made it and then 2 days later my boss needed to know which companies were on the list. So I used the postage log to figure it out from that day. She thought I was terribly creative for thinking of that. ^^;

• yeah... i totally understand about the whole laying low and looking positive thing...
  my bf wants me to take friday before st. patty's day off to go on a trip with his friends and himself... i told him i won't cuz it'll be totally obvious why i'm taking the day off... cuz i don't have paid vacation... only sick days... >.> and i'm sure they know, i didn't conveniently get sick on st. patty's weekend. XD

@Miyu: I've been fine, I finally got someone to make me a custom profile with some of the art I've collected. I've gone on several art buying sprees and I sorta got scammed out of 65k. :lol:

Yeah my boss really seems to like me and I want it to stay that way. I get along with pretty much everyone except I do sort of get annoyed at one coworker. She hates the radio station I listen to and insists on changing the station every morning to some rap station which I can't stand. But when you're dealing with someone whose nickname is "Queen" and is of the opinion everyone should be doing things for her and not her ever really giving to others then there isn't much I can do. And I'm not going to be childish and play radio knob wars with her. :?

I do occasionally change it though when she is gone for long periods of time. I mean, I'm mostly listening to hear if they call my name for a contest and I don't wanna miss out on $5,000 :lol:

Oi....that sounds like what happened to a friend of mine on Gaia. She entered an avatar contest thingy for an 04 letter set. I think she lost like 30k to a scammer AND spent hours on tektek making avatar entries. :?

  aw... yeah... that's why i assure people that when they send payment, i don't confirm it until i have it done (or for bigger commissions, show a done piccy with a sample)... >.<
  and there's no point in having a sample without actually giving the customer the original art... ^^;
