Do you have anyone you really admire? Some people admire heroes, other admires real life people!
Well, i can say i am literally worshiping the ground this one person walks on  xDD hehehe, an artist! Not only she draw good but her stuff makes me feel very great inside, like something that just blow my mind away and make me happy. I've seen good/great/gorgeous art everywhere before, but this one particular artist just really really hook me in  I really never knew how much i envied her and loved her work and the artist herself actually until i realize that i read her posts everyday to see anything i missed or any new pics she drew C= And i also just realize everytime i look at her art, i go on an art craze  (well, of course i realized all that a long time ago). Anyway, today, i caught her online Cx I felt pretty excited, like meeting a celebrity  To me, she's really a celebrity xD because i love her work sooo much and i like her alot too, since she sounds so mature and smart.

But then again, aside from that, i also like this singer Cx I love her alot even though i have never met her before. Her music sounds divine to me. I joined the fanclub and everything xD

Anyway, the artist i admire is keiiii and the singer i love is Ai Otsuka ^^ Love them! Cx

Discuss: Things that make you feel "o.o Wow... i really love it"
Have you ever idolizing a real person you actually met and an talk to (not TV idols and music peeps)
any artist that absolutely make you fall in love with life? xD
Any passionate things people make you feel? (music, art, literature)

Sadly, I don't have any idols or anything that I have met in reality.. One I only know on the internet, and the other is fictional all together.. And there aren't really any artists that stick out to me..

I've never been able to idolize anyone, some people will have works of art, music, or literary that I will greatly respect and enjoy. However I'm about as far from a "fanboy" of any particular person as there will be. Everyone one is either human or worse than human in my eyes, makes it a little hard to hold anyone in an adoring position.

My grandmother was mine, and still is to an extent.

She was a very strong woman who owned her own business in a time and place when most women married young and spent their entire lives having children. She survived a train wreck that she shouldn't have, and instead of giving up learned how to live a full life without her legs. She even learned to walk again, using two artificial legs and a cane. When she was older she raised four children, four grandchildren, battled diabetes and cancer, was a familiar sight at the state capital (as well as being familiar with quite a few Congressmen), and in her spare time traced her family line back to the 1600s.

My grandmother was a breathing defiance of society who taught me that the title of woman (or disabled) was not synonymous with weak, and that the phrase 'it can't be done' just meant no one had succeeded yet. She wasn't perfect by any means, and now that I'm older I know full well that she would not approve of how I live my life or some of my morals. She's still the closest thing to an idol I have, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

  • Charlotte Church! Her music (opera, not her pop album) has inspired me to do so much in life that I never though possible. It's always been a dream of mine to perform with her. :]

Also, my sister Elizabeth. God, I've always been jealous of her. Good looks, great personality. I never looked like her when I was her age. I've basically always been the ugly duckling. She's the blonde hair, clear face, slender body, has tons of friends, blahblahblah. I look up to her though...or I suppose down on her; she's kinda short. ;D She's got so much going for her, much more than I ever did when I was younger. :]

  • I idolize my late grandfather who was a Sergeant Major in the United States Army. He fought in the War of Vietnam, the Korean War, and World War II. My opa was the backbone of my dads side of the family and pretty much held the family together. I really looked up to him. I promised on his death bed that I would go into the Coast Guard if I am able to since, it was one of his and my dads hopes that one of the 3 of us (my sisters) would go into a military branch. My other two sisters backed out, but I still intend to.

One of my co-workers on Varus Actually. Her name there is Ayu, and she created the varus base and a majority of the hair... I adore her art. like.... whoah and a half. She has this absolutely charmingly sweet way of drawing people that just makes me smile. And her CG art blows me away... like totally. >.>; If I could someday become even half of the artist she is I would die a happy girl. Plus she is simply an amazingly sweet person too. ^_^

  • I don't idolize anyone. Especially not actors/actresses. Sure there are people I respect but no one I can obsess over. In order to idolize someone I would want to know a lot about them and to know them personally.

All the people I really admire and look up to happen to be deceased... So, I suppose I'll never actually have a chance to meet them or chit chat with them in person.

As for regular Joes... I don't have any that I idolize... Someone has to be particularly amazing to really impress me... Everything is just so darn mediocre, now a days...

Wow, she sounds like an amazing woman.

My heroes are also strong women. Of real people, I greatly admire Georgia O'Keeffe, Ursula k. Le Guin and Björk. Their work (painting, writing, singing, respectively) are all skills I aspire towards, and they inspire me greatly. Partly I am envious of their skill, but mostly I am inspired to create more of my own work. I have no doubt that they achieved their skill through dedication and hard work, qualities I value immensely, so they are an inspiration to for me to keep working hard.

I have one fictional hero, a character from a fairy tale named Tatterhood. She is a twin princess who always wears ragged clothes, rough-houses, rides a goat and wields a wooden spoon to great effect. Throughout the story, she is willful, determined, and obeys no rules but her own. To me, she is the embodiment of self-sovereignty and strength. Strength and ability to govern my life are very important to me, and so Tatterhood is an important symbol for me.

Well, I have come to really admire a woman called (at least online) Helen Trevillion. She writes her own songs, plays her own instruments, and records herself singing those songs to upload to the internet for people to enjoy. Her songs are really heartfelt and her voice is amazing. I don't even think she has a CD, but she is still one of my favorite artists. Her songs carry a lot of meaning to me and usually calm me down when I am riled up about something.

She is still in college to my understanding and she lives in England. She is really independent in her music it seems, and I would kill to be able to do the things that she does. I want to learn to play the keyboard and violin, even though by now I'm probably too old to get very good at it, and I want to be able to write my own songs and preform them. It's always been my dream to be a singer, and she just inspires me to keep at it. She makes music I would go pay to listen to from her dorm room (or whatever) for crying out loud. :D

@ Cyndel: Don't give up on learning to play the keyboard and violin! It's never too late! Learning to play an instrument well is a matter of hard work and dedication, just like any other skill. I know that advice sounds cliché, but it's true. Sure, it helps to have started young, but it's not necessary. My mom knows musicians who started playing in their fifties and got really good, because they practiced a lot.

  • Johnny Depp.
No matter how overrated it sounds, he has played in so many great movies. Edward Scissorhands (as Edward), The Pirates of the Caribbean (as Jack Sparrow), Finding Neverland (as James Matthew Barrie), Cry-Baby (as Wade "Cry-baby" Walker). Those characters are all so different, but he's done an excellent job with all of them. <3 Worship!

Diana Wynne Jones, just because she created the Howl's Moving Castle book and sequel. An English author, and one with a gift. :'D

And just... my mother. She's so amazing. She does a majority of the housework while taking care of my toddler brother and studying to get a full degree for her ultrasound job, and she's an immigrant too. <33 Much love on Mommy. And my gramma too, and my friends, oh lord my friends. <3333333

I actually idolize Amy Grant.
I met her once when I was like, ten-thirteen.
I can't really remember the exact age.
I had a lot going on.
But anyways, I idolize her because she is a great singer, and she never gave up on what she believed in.
She was true to herself till the end.
I don't see that in singers very often, and it makes me sad.
I mean, what's the point in singing if it isn't something that you can do to express yourself?
If you can't be yourself with what your line of work is, it just isn't worth it.
