This is a place for me to post poetry... But they will all be poems that I spend about five or ten minutes or so on. It's sort of a test to see how much or little quality a 5 minute poem can actually have.
I guess if you really feel obligated or interested in posting opinions of the completely random poems (That will likely be awful) then feel free to do so.
I have a feeling these poems will likely be quite embarrassingly bad though... Considering the restrictions, if you do feel like commenting or posting your opinion, please be lenient. These aren't masterpieces I'm putting real effort into. I'm not devoting time to these or brain storming, making drafts, or anything of the sort.
With that said... I suppose I'll get started now...

BUBBLES
Floating above me
Dancing in the breeze
Delicate rainbows
Twirl 'round the trees
They soar very high
without any a care
Until they all pop
And burst in mid air
My bubbles they carry
My worries away
As I stare above me
And watch them all play

MUSIC BOX BALLET
Spin 'round and 'round
My music box friend
And dance for me
Till the bitter end
For I've never known
A soul more sincere
Than my little ballerina
Whom I always keep near

I SEND MY LOVE TO HIM
I plucked a pretty rose
And set it in the sea
And sent it off a sailing
In hopes my love returns to me
As I watch it float away
I wonder what he'll say
When it floats upon him
Carrying my gentle love
From very far away
Will he send one back to me?
Will he love me more?
All my hopes rest on his actions
As I wait here by the shore

LITTLE BETTY
Little Betty Dressed in lace
Pinks and reds upon her face
Walking at a steady pace
Where might you be going?
'I am traveling far away
Where the night becomes the day
And the children always play
And the sun shines when it's snowing.'
Will you be there quit a while?
We will miss your pleasant smile.
And your cute and happy style.
Please come back home soon.
'I'll be gone for quite some time.
For there's no train to take my dime
So it will be an awful climb
To make it to the moon.'

EVER AFTER
In my castle I will wait
Until my prince bursts through the gate
I hope he is not very late
For the witch grows ever near
She wishes me the deepest harm
For I was blessed with grace and charm
I've many reasons for alarm
I can hear her evil laughter
When he comes his sword be true
As it plunges through and through
The evil witch whom I once knew
My troubles disappear
He'll hold me very close to he
And we'll be happy as can be
For I'll love him and he'll love me
Happily ever after

LITTLE FROG
Little frog upon your lily
You look ever so, so silly
As you hop and stick your tongue
Out at flies and beetles dung
You can't stand, you only sit
For skinny legs aren't made for it
One day I'd like to be like you
And sit upon a lily too

TEA FOR TWO
There's something so delightful
In a well made cup of tea
And it's all that much more perfect
When you've pleasant company
For the tea always tastes sweeter
When it's set as tea for two
And the conversation's never bland
When the company is you

KITTY IN THE TREE
Little kitty in the tree
Please come down and play with me
If you come down right away
We'll have lots of time to play
But if you'd rather stay up high
I guess I'll have to say 'Good-bye'

TEACH ME TO FLY!
Bumble bee, bumble bee
buzzing by
Who was it that taught you
how to fly?
Was it your mother?
Or the queen bee?
Could you teach the
Lesson to me?
For I would like to
float on the breeze
And it would be fun
To buzz 'round the trees
I'd land on the flowers
Eat honey all day
And when I am scared
I'd just fly away
Please teach me, please do!
I want to know how!
I'll be your best friend
And I'll even-- OW!
You stung me! How rude!
I'll show you!
I'll chase you around
And squish you up too!
Then you'll of wished
You taught me to fly!
Because then you wouldn't
Have to die...

THE PICTURES ON THE WALL
Pretty pictures on the wall
Streaming down my mother's hall
Pretty dresses, sailor suits
Boys in yellow rubber boots
A man in uniform stands true
Behind him flies red white and blue
Little girls in funny hats
Little boys with baseball bats
A little puppy in the snow
A lady dancing in a show
Each picture tells a lovely story
Some of loss and some of glory
The pictures are like pretty flowers
In this garden I could sit for hours

JUST FOR THE NIGHT
Fairy of flight
Fly through the night
And befriend the twinkling sky
While fireflies dance
And the stars make romance
As the silvery moths flutter by
For soon will come day
As the moon fades away
And the time for the sun will come nigh

Sing a song, little lamb
Sing a song for me
And one day, I hope, very soon
We will both be free

THE OLD TREE
Withered, gnarled
Abandoned, spent
No atonement, no repent
Slashed and twisted
Pushed, mislead
And left to suffer
Till it's dead...

FAMILIAR SADNESS
Why do you sit there, crying so.
Tell me the troubles, I've yet to know.
Tell me what brings you down so low.
Tell me what makes thin eyes like doe.
For I have seen so much, you see.
But never to see anything quite like thee.
For as you sit there miserably.
I feel as though I'm looking at me.

THE MAIDEN'S SONG
As she sings, her song takes flight.
And travels far beyond the night.
Trips over lilies, prances 'round trees.
And floats along the merry breeze.
And when her song reaches your ears.
Your weary eyes will fill with tears.
But not of sorrow but with glee.
For her song will set your heart free.

THE MIGHTY KING
The was a king of mighty bounty
He rules over a simple county
The farmers plowed, the crops grew tall
Yet the market had very little food at all
For the king was very large
And ever week could clear a barge
He'd feast on chicken, onion soup
Fruits and berries in a loop
He ate all day, and through the night
Till every crumb was out of sight.
The peasants and the farmers cried
Till many grew so thin, they died.
And those who did not waste away
Still did not see another day
For when the food had paid it's toll
The people then were eaten whole
The king, so large, the king alone
Now dines upon himself, in throne

A LUSTFUL KNIGHT
The was a knight who lusted
After every maiden fair
And asked them all to dine with him
And join his in his lair
And they would come so willingly
And be his faithful pawn
And he would leave them every time
With the coming of the dawn
One day he realized there were
No maidens left to woo
With his supply hastily spent
what was the knight to do?
And so he sits at home these nights
Holding sword in hand
And wishing he had not so eagerly raped
The harvest of the land...

TAPE!
Tape can do so many things
It's versatile, it's true
It comes in many colours
And in every colour's hue.
It comes in many widths and lengths
And in thick and even thin
And in so many different shapes
That tape could have come in
Use it to make stickers
Or fix a paper tear
Fix a wire that's been split
Or a split end in your hair!
Stick one thing to another
Plug a hole or close a gap
Use it in your paper crafts
Or your holiday wrap
Tape is oh so sticky
And can do so very much
And it only takes a pull
A tear, and a gentle touch

HILARY HARK
Hilary Hark was quite the girl
She'd always wear a string of pearl
And rings of gold and many charms
And silken sleeves upon her arms
She'd hold her head so very high
Her nose could almost touch the sky

BEWARE THE BEAR
Beware, beware
The mighty bear
For he could kill you
With a stare.
And if you're wise
You shall not dare
To set foot upon
His hidden lair
For if the bear
Should find you there
He shall eat
your body rare

WATCHER
Put me in a box
And forget that I am there
Go on with your life
Without a worry or a care
Though you can not see me
I can still see you
And I'm lurking in the shadows
'Cause I'm always watching you

BEYOND WHAT YOU SEE
If you look closely
You will see
Things are not always
What they seem to be
An innocent exterior
can hide
A vicious monster
On the inside
A safe looking house
Where you play
Could hide a predator
Who will slay
Beware what lurks
Beyond your sight
Or you may find
A terrible plight
