The only thing the sites have in common are they have dress up avatars and use the same thing to host their forums. Here there's very little spam, people talk and help each other out, no one whores gold or friends (Man I hated getting friend requests from people I didn't know), no boob signs -shudders- and people are just nicer. Plus mene supports literacy! Hoow good is that? No more shall I have to read strings of incoherent letters!

And it makes it such a nice place. Ive pretty much left gaia. Everything I own is still sitting in my inventory and I still gain items monthly (I have a friend that buys me the collectables XD) I like to change my avi But I rarely post in te forums. I havent even checked the latest plot update. Im thinking I would rather spend halloween here than there even. Ill probably hop over to see if the event is any good though. last years failed IMO.
I hated friends requests from people I didnt know there too. But If they came out with a friendslist thing here, I dont think I would really mind since you dont have beggars asking for gold every few minutes. So I would probably accept the people here XD Its so weird how different the people are, even when they are the same people, only on different sites.

I don't think they're different, we just haven't got the bad ones. I don't accept random friends requests because the term is friends list. Meaning my friends from the site go there right? So I'd do exactly the same as on Gaia, accept people I talk to, leave random ones until someone speaks to me and delete them if they don't talk :P I do the same on every site I'm on :P

I like my Gaia avatar, she's pretty. So no changing her. I don't like the 'MC's anymore either they're looking like the teams running out of ideas. Like we now have two hair MCs and two Godly MCs and what people seem to have agreed upon as Gwees parents XD and Gwee. It's justs like...great, something new please?

I don't know, maybe I'm getting bitter at the site. It's so commercial and unfriendly I now dislike it and I poured money into it so I feel hard done by :P

I only went on Gaia since I joined Roli to check roleplays which died before I got to mene so now I'll go on Gaia like once a week if that just to see...

I still go on daily, but most of my friends have dissappeared. along with all the people that i would randomly converse with in te exchange. everyone old is gone and the ones still there I dont like much, and everyone there now is just a greedy little whore. >.> course I do recognize some names from the exchange there, here and that annoys me because I think they are part of what went wrong with gaia. >.> but thats just my opinion.

But isn't the exchange better than the marketplace? I never understood how to work the exchange, I could never find anyone selling what I was buying or buying what I was selling...

I'm back for a little while.

I entered the avatar contest once....... The problem was that no shoes could be found to fit my avatar (the "Gift of Goddess" shoes would've worked, but this was last July). So, of course..... "The shoes don't fit!" Yes, I got it. :roll: And I realized a little bit ago that I haven't actually changed my avatar for a few weeks. :gonk: I used to change it daily...... Sometimes several times a day...... Oh well.

I entered the avatar arena on Gaia once. People were very harsh on my avatar. I was fairly new then, too. Like only a month old or something... It was discouraging. :[

I don't like how some people go and comment something like "your avatar is cheap", even when the avatar looks pretty good.
A lot of people expect the entries to be in the most costly items ever. :roll:

It works both ways. If the avatar's inexpensive, you get "your avatar is cheap". If you've got lots of donation items on, then you get "you aren't supposed to have so much stuff! Just because you have stuff doesn't mean you'll win!" :roll: Although I do think it's kind of stupid when completely new users enter with the starter set. No, that won't work. Starter stuff and something else? That might work. But starter set alone? It's not even that good-looking, and it's synonymous with "poor" for most people. So you lost 1K right off.

Yup..The AA is a little bit harsh..and brutal. Its really hard to win with a legit avvie because most people just use bots to vote..;-;

There is a ton of botting in the arena. Very few of my friends have ever even got a ranking.
