My friends and I took spoons from the airport to play spoons while we waited for our plane. XDD

Would that be stealing too? :o

I work at my parent's restaurant. It's located at the food court of a mall. And we REALLY appreciate it when people bring back unused packages of ketchup, etc. My parents complain when they see someone grab a handful of utensils from us because we're the only restaurant at the food court who has their forks placed for self serve. BUT when we go out to eat, my dad and mom always gets more than they need. I think they think of it as a circle of life... we don't waste them though, we just take the napkins to use in the car, etc.

I feel embarrassed when my parents do that. But it annoys me too when I see customers do that if they're just going to dump all that stuff. We don't think of it as stealing, we just think it's a waste. My parents told me they saved a lot by placing the napkins so that people had to ask for them. We give them napkins by the amount of people, so usually it's enough.

Lol. Refills. People always find it so shocking that it costs money. I've had countless people drop their jaws at me when I tell them it's 54cents (.50 + tax). A cup of water is 25cents (pay for the cup) if you didn't purchase from us. I get the same reaction.

But I'm always happy to serve someone water when a kid finds out he doesn't have enough for a soda.
It's sad though, when one person buys a meal and ten guys with that person asks for water. >.>

I could give a person a free drink for a week who came into the resturant I used to managed and not notice a hit on inventory.

So, when you take into consideration how many people pay for the drinks, how many people don't get the drinks or just get water and the different kinds that are available, it really doesn't cost much for the company to give out free refills. I know we didn't charge, and we gave our employees all the free drinks they wanted and I never lost of pop syrup.

And actually, I really don't know many places here in my town that make you pay for a refill. Hell even when I go to the movies they give you one free refill, after that you have to pay, but really who goes to get lots of refills. (Then again what are you paying for a that drink, $6) ><'

But yeah, I totally will take a ton of those mints from Burger King if I ever eat there, I love those so much.

I guess it's the idea if it's out there, people will take it. Like put a chair out in your lawn that says free, if no one wants it no one will take it. Put it out there with a price sign on it...someone's going to steal it.

I never steal napkins since I have no place to put them and they would just annoy me. XD

I'm a napkin thief. o:
Anywhere where I'll get fast food from, I'll usually take a right big stack of napkins, and the ones that aren't used for eating will be put in the compartment in my car for later. Napkins are handy, especially if you have something that's leaking from a bag in your car and you don't know about it. I learned the hard way what happens when I run out of napkins and wipes in my car earlier this year, when my boyfriend and I bought chinese take-out and one of the bags leaked all over his tan pants and trickled down the side of the seat. It was brown sauce stuff also, so that made it worse. I got yelled at for not having anything to clean stuff with in my car. ^^;
