I have a lot of stuff in me, but not enough to be considered anything at all really. I have everything from American Indian, to German, Welsh, Asian, Scottish... and pretty much everything else you can think of. I usually say I'm mostly Indian and German, though, but really I don't know exactly how much of anything is in me. I'm just a mutt.

I always find it interesting to find out what others are though.

Let's see. I'm ABC (which is American born chinese). I speak Cantonese (think hong kong). My grandma looked after me and my lil sis when I was seven, and cantonese was all she knew, and I had to speak it with her everyday. My first language was chinese, and thus was why I was almost held back in kindergarden T_T. My english wasn't bad at all. But I didn't do well, and everyone thought that was the reason. Ever since, I keep on getting passed into ESOL (English Second to Other Language) whenever I move because stupidly I wrote my first language was cantonese whenever I filled out school stuff...

I watch hong kong tv, (TVB) every night and I love CPOP (cantopop). I took a course in cantonese when I was in third grade for a year so I was schooled to be able to read at kindergarden level, but with enough chinese tv, I can read quite a bit.

My dad is a chef, and all my life I've eaten chinese food everyday (rice everyday too). I love pizza, hot dogs, and chips, but almost every thing else I can't really find myself liking to eat...

Thus, I can eat, hear, speak, kinda read, cantonese. Not as well with mandarin >.< I plan to take an online course this year in mandarin though.

@life in red and black-Same here too, ABC. (You know that song sung by Jin? ABC?) I speak Cantonese too, lol. I spoke, or I guess at least understood Cantonese, ever since I was a little kid. My first language was English though, and was never held back from anything.

I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin though. Not sure which I might be better. They're both equally scaled... ._.

  I do notice some Asians. I think it's cool. I hardly ever get to run into other Asians in real life, so it's neat to meet some this way. :3

@ToriKat - I know what you mean. recently, a couple new developments popped up near the mall where my parents own a restaurant at the food court and I help out. All of the sudden I see so many more asians than the past seven years! last week alone I met eight families who spoke cantonese (that's rare for me)! I can't wait till I visit china this winter, (I haven't visited since I was two) I'm going to be over whelmed by all the people speaking chinese!

  I'm Asian-European, I have roots in countries half of the people on here don't know about. Azerbaijan, for instance. Otherwise, there's always Germany, Israel, Russia (the biggest hunk, right thur. I also speak Russian. ; ] ).

  but a lot of asians I know talk about different things.. like a traditional dish.. or language school or something and you get to know them and find out they're asian. xD whereas you don't do that a lot with white people o-o

I count myself as Asian. Well Malaysian xD I'm quarter Caucasian though :3 There is a large amount of Asians, but I doubt there are alot of Malaysians here though xD <3 I think it's because most of us came here from Gaia, and Gaia was kind of Japanese/anime kinda site so there are quite a few Asians there.

You know, it could be helped due to the fact that mene is a lot like Gaia. an anime based forum site. anime actually origionates in asia, so isn't it simply expected that a lot of asians would be here?

I suppose I'm almost a bit of a false Asian...? ^^;;
I was born in Korea from Korean parents but raised in a Swedish family with Swedish as my mother language (I'm adopted). I took some very basic Korean for a while and I can speak some moderate Japanese but I'm not anywhere near fluent in either languages.
So apperance-wise, I'm entirely Asian. Mentally... probably more Caucasian. XD
