Juri sat in the chair that she had been tied to only minutes before...the thug with the gun sat across from her and held her there. She glared and he only smiled.
"Frustrated?" He asked.
"Good...that means that you know you're poistion is hopeless...once Kane gets here we won't need you anymore."
BANG!
"Stop acting all bad, moron." The nearest door crashed down off it's hinges where Kane had broken through a back window and made his way through the side rooms. He carried with him two of the other guards that he'd found there and he tossed them inside.
"Kane!!" Juri would have ran to him if the barrel was not still in her direction.
"Juri, are you hurt?" He asked dully as if it was an automated response. She shook her head 'no' and Kane narrowed his eyes.
"Now that I'm here what do you want?" The punk smiled.
"We need you Kane, for one last run."

::I watched as Kane reached the roof across from me, i kneeled, keeping my eyes peeled for danger::

He had no idea what was going on inside, even with his keen hearing all he could hear was the wind blowing past him. He kept still waiting for any signs of movement. What could be going on in there?
(Human Weapon is on, they are fighting like the Spartans, finally the bigger guy gets to compete, I was tired of the weak little guy losing all the time. -_-)

"One last run?" Kane was staring at his former boss....while Juri looked between the two confused.
"Kane...what's....what's he talking about?"
Kane ignored her and went on.
"Fine I want pay up front."
"Whatever you say."
"Let Juri and me go, never bother my family or freinds again." the older of the two smiled.
"Alright, but we keep your sister as hostage just to make sure that you come back."
"..What am I running?"


Kane stepped out from the front of the building a few minutes later, in one peice, the guards at the front let him by with a smirk and he returned it with a narrow glare. He was like a diffrent person...this Kane was the one that made the runs...this was 'business' Kane.

:i stand up, noticing that he came out, without Juri. I almost fly down to him and stop in my footsteps "duh, he cant see me like this..." i was so worried, sweat ran down my brow and i watched on::

He watched him leave alone and unscathed. Something was up.. Where was his sister? He walked in the same direction as Kane, keeping his distance in case they were being watched. Could this be a trap..?

Kane reached the outer edge of the train yard and looked one way then the next. He sighed heavily and took one saddened look back to where Juri was. He shook his head and clenched his fists taking off into the city....he was on the timer...and it was running out.

:::i watch him, and decide to follow him, again going rooftop to rooftop, being very careful. "what are you doing Kane? Where are you going?" I kept up the pace and fluttered on behind him::

Hitting the back alleys and staying hidden Kane weaved his way through the city. He was carrying only a small scrap of paper..but what was on it was more important than what he considered a life. He had to make the delivery and get back to the yard before nine...his time ran out then.

He hid behind a corner as a car drove past...he was nearing his target point.

"Take this to Neko street...they'll be a few of my guys waiting there..I need this message delivered so that they can get to work." Kane didn't understand why it was there..but he'd do almost anything to save Juri.

Out of the yard he looked at the streets and hesitated before reaching into his coat pocket. He pulled out his palm pilot-like device and tapped the screen to call the van. He slowed down his pace so that he could be tracked easier, still going in the direction he had seen Kane running in.

Within minutes he saw the black van rolling down the opposite side of the street to meet him. As is slowed to a hault he boarded. There was no driver to greet him as he entered. He fastened himself in and fought with himself. "Should I leave.. or should I help..? He is just a project.. These matters are of no concern to me.." He looked out through the tinted windows not knowing what to do. "Then why am I so disgusted with myself..? Why cant I just leave?" He growled angrily, shaking his head. "Once.. but if he refuses I will not plague my mind anymore with such matters!" He touched the screen of the device once more to operate the van and sped off into the last direction he had seen Kane hoping to catch up with him.

::I noticed he was heading toward the street i lived on and thought "Oh my God! Is he going to my house???" My eyes widen and i catch an updraft and fly faster than hes running below be, getting to my home, i open my window, and fall in. Oreo was alseep on my bed and she puffed up not expecting me to come in this way. I hurriedly took off my clothes and tied my wings to my body, threw on a tee shirt and baggy jeans. I ran back and fourth in my room, brushing my wind-blown hair and scurried around "crap, what IS he doing???"

Kane slowed to a stop at the corner that he recognized.
This...this is Risa's place...what are they going to do here? He paused at her gate seeing a light on.
"Kane...we were expecting you." He whirled to see three guys emerge from the bushes near her home.
"I have a message."
"We know..why don't you read it out loud." Kane's stomach fell. He opened the letter, and went pale.
"Kill the messenger...make him an example to his girlfriend."
Kane was in trouble.

"My brother is going to come back and when he does I'll make sure that none of you sit right again!" Juri was on the edge of her seat with worry.
"That's funny." The leader laughed.
"Cuz that letter that I had him deliver....was his own death warrent." Juri went numb.
"No...Kane...."

(well someone is in trouble now aren't they? hahaha I lost him around the corner x.x)
He stopped his chase unable to find the red haired bull. The van stopped about a block and a half away. He sat in his chair unable to clear his conscience of the events that have taken place. Where was his sister.. where did he run off to... He thought about the yard and the time that had elapsed while Kane was inside. "Should I .. go back there and ... ugh.. why am I worrying about all of this..?" He crossed his arms over his chest and stared at the dashboard, confused about what he should be doing.

::I come downstairs, not knowing if he actually came to my house or not. Misty is laying in the hallway, i look at her, shes looking out the front window. "what are you looking at, Misty?" i come up behind her and look out::

WHAM! Kane hung between two of them while the third wailed on his stomach. It burned and he could only cough as the fist slammed into him again and again.
"J.....Juri....For...g-give me....Risa....Zahara...you too...I.....I think.....this is it." His broken plea wasn't ignored.
"SHADDUP!! Meet death with a grin Kane, that's what you told us." He looked sideways at Risa's house..he prayed that she wasn't home.

::I see the pain in Kane's eyes and burst the door open "HEY! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" My posture is exactly as Kane stood infront of the tugs the day we met, and I had hoped my fists were as strong as the courage i felt in my heart::

"RISA!!" Kane's bloodied face turned to her.
"NO GET OUT OF HERE THEY'LL KILL YOU!!" He struggled against his captors and pleaded with her.
"RUN NOW!!! If you really want to help run back to the train yard, Drac should be there get him to help you rescue Juri!!! They're holding her inside!!" He bent his leg up and smashed his foot into his attacker's face throwing the other two off with a motion. He rammed his fist into their faces, providing for a very dangerous distraction.

::I eyes filled "NO! I wont leave you!" I scream out loud and run as fast as i can, head butting one holding you in the groin with my head, its all i could think of to. Him temporarily releasing you, i scream, and in snap and a rip, my t shirt rips of my chest and i open my wings wide, up to the sky, pulling him into my arms and I catch a cool draft, holding his bloody body to mine, his arm over my shoulder, one of my hands holding his wrist, the other around his waist- in in my bra and baggy jeans now, his blood got all over me and i flew, the only way i knew- up over the clouds and I looked into his eyes, he seemed so out of it "Kane...please, talk to me... please be okay.." i cried, tears streamed down my cheeks and i looked at his face so intently, waiting for a response, flapping my wings and keeping us in a good distance up from the earth. I wasnt going anywhere without knowing he was alright first::

Ground...where was the ground...it had been there a second ago...but now Kane's feet dangled over eternity and he felt sick. He turned his head away from the lights below and found Risa's face.
"Risa....what are you doing here...I thought....this nightmare is going to be over soon right? Juri's going to wake me up in the morning and tell me I'm late for class and I'll go there and you'll hammer into my head the need for education......Risa......" His eyes filled with tears ignoring the fact that they were flying above his home.
"Juri's gonna die if we don't get back!! They can't leave any witnesses!"

:i touch his face gently and shush him, tears still stream down my face "Kane, please calm down and think. youre hurt, but youre safe- Juri isn't. we need a plan. please, try to calm down and think about all of this. are you alright? are you in alot of pain?" i sniffled, happy hat he was conscious and alert, my eyes still filled with tears as i looked into his bloodshot and tired eyes::

He shook his head.
"No time. They're going to kill her as soon as it hits nine. I'm not so bad that I can't go in there and get her out before they can kill her." He rubbed his stinging eyes his words exactly as he said them. He was going to save Juri even if it meant him dying in the process. Risk everything to get everything His motto had only applied to school and fights...but he was dealing with lives, and if it took risking his to get hers...he'd put everything on the line.

He pounded the dashboard in frustration. Thats it.. its going to keep me up all night if I just leave now.. I'm going to find out just what went on in there. Maybe then I can find out where he ran off to... He clenched his teeth in disgust as he programed the van to return to the outter most part of the yard. (Hey no one likes scratched paint XD)

::I look at him "Kane, you need to face the fact that there are people who care about what happens to you and i will help you in any way possible..." i sniffled, rubbing my face into my shoulder and giggled a bit "...im in my BRA in front of you for petes sake..." i blush and look into his eyes, smiling a bit, "Im risking my OWN life saving you like i did and exposing myself like this...dont I matter to you at all?" the food thought kept coming up in my mind and i looked down at the clouds "i never meant to burst into your life like I did...I never meant to hurt you, or get so attached to you Kane..." I felt like my heart was going to burst when I spoke to him like this::

His eyes widened.
"Risa....I just don't want you hurt......I...feel like I have to keep you safe...you're the only other person I've cared about besides Juri and that's because she's practicaly raised me...." He ran a hand along her face.
"I've probably acted like a complete idiot.....never telling you...but you matter, you matter a great deal." He smirked and peeked down.
"Hmmm....lacey undies at this time of night?" He chuckled coughing as he did.
"Risa...when this is all over...remind me to kiss you. I can freak out about the wings later...by the way..they're very fetching." He let his head hang down and focused on saving his strength.
"I won't die..not in there....if you so order it...so it shall be."

::I smiled at him "Kane...i've been through more than you think...Ive survived alot, a great deal..." I closed my eyes when he touched my face, he was so warm...
I blush when he told me he cared about me and i looked down "im sorry i didnt tell you about my wings, I sure hope you can understand why..." the wind picked up and the sun sank lower behind us. I brushed off the fact he just looked at my chest and looked to the earth below us, still flapping my wings to stay in the air "so, now what? where should we go? I cant be seen anywhere more like this, i dont know if the thugs hurting you saw me.." i get nervous, keeping my grip on his wrist and waist, he seemed to be getting heavier by the minute "remind me to cut back on the rice pudding..." I wink at him and shift his weight to my hip, i was bloody and sweaty and tired and overwhelmed. I needed to land, but somewhere safe::
