"Right!"

"You can head past the beadrooms and the bathroom is the third door on the right, you go and wash up while I see what we've got." He swiped off his hands and rummaged through the kitchen finding very little, but enough. He started a small meal of rice and stir-fry, following the recipe that had been taped to the refridgerator door. Kane found himself humming as he worked tapping out a rhythm with the spoon on the side of the wok.

::I nod and head into the bathroom and shut the door, but it didnt shut all the way. I sigh and trust Kane anyway, so i turn on the warm water and go in the shower, still wearing my bathing suit. I wasn't sure if we were going swimming again.
Turning off the water i jump out and I couldn't find a towel. I brush it off and walk into the living room dripping wet, still in my suit, and brushing my hair "Ohh Kane, it smells wonderful!!!" I walk up behind him and look over his shoulder at the sizzling food and take it all in::

"Isn't it though?" He smirked..then laughed.
"I'm just good at following directions. Here stir this a second." He handed the spoon off to Risa and moved to the sink, he'd washed the sand off his hands from before, but needed to clean off his arms before the stir-fry got any grainer.

::I smiled at him as he walked off "so, is there a deck or anything to eat out on, im kinda... still wet and I dont want to get any furniture wet.." I stir the rice, I wanted to bad to taste it, but I waited patiently.::

He jerked his head towards a side door.
"There's a patio out back, an umbrella and everything." He finished and came up behind her and placed his hand over hers as they stirred. He wrapped an arm around her waist and placed a quick kiss behind her ear.
"This'll be done in a sec, can you hand me down two plates from that cabinet over there?"

::I look to where he was jerking his head and smiled "ohh, sounds nice and cozy..." His soft hand touched my stomach, I had butterflies every time he touched me there. I hand him the spoon and walk over and stand on my tip toes to reach the plates he was talking about. Pulling them down, I set them on the counter next to him and I lean against the fridge "i feel like im on a vacation instead of a fugitive... do you think we should really be enjoying ourselves like this??" I look at a photo on the fridge of him and Juri as young kids and smile and put it back. He was a little tough guy as a kid, I could tell::

Kane nodded.
"Why not? We kidnapped you not only to hide you out, but to make sure that you could enjoy yourself a little." He took the wok off the eye and flipped it off. He began to fill the plates when the phone rang.
"That's probably Juri.." He groaned, jerking the receiver off the hook.
"What now? Can't find a good sale?" His face went pale.
"How did you get this number?" He questioned, his face turned dark after a pause.
"Fine." He turned to Risa and held it out.
"I think it's your mom."

::"i shouldnt be enjoying myself... I almost killed someone... I should be punished...." My eyes grew big and my mouth watered as he filled the plates with the food, my gaze was interrupted by the phone. I look to him with a WTF expression and take the reciever from him "H-hello?? Yes... Oh... But why? I understand... Ill be home tomorrow...bye.."
I look to Kane, a blank expression on my face, hanging up the phone "My mom wants me home. I think she found out about Chidori and shes already packing to move to Kyoto.." I sigh deeply, I knew this was going to happen. "I told her id be home tomorrow to help... I can just fly home, so no need to worry.." I look at him and smile sadly "This.. may be our last day together, so.. lets enjoy it while we can..." i held back my tears and turned around and looked up at the ceiling.::

Kane wanted to slam his fist on the counter, to yell and crush something with his bare hands...but that was the childish way to deal with this. Instead, he moved beside Risa and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and buried his face in the crook of her neck.
"Then....I'm coming with you. Risa, I'm not letting you fly away from me again...our only problem is convincing Juri to stay here." He smirked into her skin...knowing full well that she was going to chew him out once more for wanting to follow her to the ends of the earth, there...and back again.

::Turning around, I put my hand on the back of his head, and rest mine on his, wrapping my other arm around his waist "Maybe I should go home and see what she wants to do, and what she knows, maybe I can convince her that Ive.. found someone that will protect me, and maybe she'll let me stay, with you." I stroke his hair, trying to calm him down. His heart was beating fast and i held him closer to me, pressing my whole body against his "I.. dont want to leave you.. I need you.." I closed my eyes. "If she doesnt give me a compromise Ill just defy her. My love for you is stronger than my loyalty to her..." I sighed deeply, and wrap my wings around us::

"What?" He smiled.
"No noble intentions this time? No trying to run away? Forsooth I think the Lady cares!" He crushed her frame to his and sighed.
"If you go I want to come as well...she can't be convinced if you're only there speaking on my behalf....I'd have to prove to her that I'm fully capable of keeping you and your secret safe with me." He wasn't worried..well not like he thought he'd be...facing her mother...after hearing her declaration of defiance...Kane felt as though he could take on the world....and bring it to it's knees.

::I shake my head "Mother said it'd be wise if I came alone. She needs to speak with me... alone.." i smiled at him worriedly. My mother sounded a tad frantic on the phone, but she was always like that when someone had found out about my wings, or if I seriously injured someone.
"Lets just..." I sigh deeply "eat and enjoy our day together alright? So I have a good memory of us, just in case??" I leaned back, keeping my lower half of my body pressed against him, i touched his cheek and looked firmly into his eyes "I have you now... I just cant leave you now that youre mine..." I tuck his hair behind his ear-it was a tad messy without his headband on, but I didnt mind.::

He frowned.
"I don't like it...but I suppose there's no way that I'll convince you?" He caught her hand and pressed her palm to his lips.
"Indeed...the Lady cares." He shook his head and dipped his forehead til it touched hers.
"There's no amount of distance that's going to keep me from you...remember..if you leave Little Bird....I'll find you wherever your mother takes you." He smiled his shoulders shaking.
"You're so flighty...you had to have been spawned from the Wind." He sighed and nuzzled into her hand.
"A Seraph sent to haunt me...but what a spectre." He blushed, and blinked ashamed that he was talking like that..but then again, he supposed that it was just female nature to turn the roughest guy into a poetry spouting moron....it was just how they worked.
"UH..." He muttered pulling away to grab their plates.
"Soy sauce?"

::I blushed as he kissed my hand "No, I dont think you can convince me to bring you with... besides, Ill get there and back in no time flat alone, I fly faster when i'm not carrying anything.."
I put my hands on his shoulders "are you cold? or upset.." i brush his red hair from his eyes and look into them. They were so sad, and it devastated me. I wished I could bring him with, but Mother needed me... alone...
I smile at him when he offered Soy sauce "Oh yes please!!" i couldn't hide how I was feeling. I felt i had found my happiness and it was being torn away from me as soon as I had found it, and realized it was there the whole time; he, was my happiness. the lump in my throat grew, i just wanted to cry inot his chest, that seemed to be waiting for me, but I held them back, I promised Kane I wouldn't cry anymore...
Taking the plate i go out the sliding door and sit on the 1 story up deck. I yawn and put my plate down, and put the umbrella up "Its so warm out here... I love it.." I look around "Oh! We forgot drinks! Ill go get them!" I nearly trip over my own feet and flutter back into the house for two glasses of iced tea.
I had to eat, then leave as soon as possible; Mother instructed me to do so. She sounded angry, yet scared at the same time, and I wondered if she did find out about Kane.. was she cross with me? Did she want to let me go? Did she want to cage me? or discipline me? I shuddered and thought maybe running away from my problems all the time wasn't such a good idea, especially in this particular case...::

Kane shook his head and blushed.
"No it's nothing like that...it's just.. Nevermind." He smiled and turned back to pour the sauce over both thier plates and made a face when he poured a little too much over his own.
He joined her on the deck a little later, falling behind after catching a glance at her face...it was too much. Kane hung his head as he made his waay out, he should have hung up the phone before Risa ever got a chance to talk to her mother...but he couldn't change that now..all he could do was try to cheer her up before she left. He started to raise his hand when she left for drinks, saying he would get them instead, but she was gone...so he slumped back into his chair and leaned on a fist...there was something wrong...he could tell...perhaps the way her mother had phrased something...He wasn't sure...but he needed to talk to Risa about it.

::I come back outside a few minutes later with the drinks and sat down in a chair across from him. I sipped my drink and tried not to look at him; he was so devastated that I was leaving, i could tell.
I took a bite of my rice and smiled "ohh Kane... you gotta cook more often.. this is so gooodd...." I shoved another spoonful in my mouth and looked out over the ocean. The breeze was calm today and I took in the scent of ocean, it was relaxing. But I didnt have time to relax; I had to eat and finish up here, and leave as soon as possible.
My wings neatly folded behind me over the chair, I continued to eat quickly, as if I were being timed.::

Kane chuckled.
"I'm nothing compared to you." He said gently.
"Risa..." His eyes got wide and he quirked a brow.
"You don't have to shove it all in at one time, take it easy or you're gonna get sick on the way home." He made a sort of nervous chuckle...uneasy with the awkward distance that had been put between them.

::I stopped suddenly and put my spoon down, and hit my chest vigorously and drank a sip of my water. "whew, almost choked there.. hehe" I scratch the back of my head and looked over at him. I wondered if I should bring him anyway... just in case. I didnt know was was waiting for me at home, but I had a bad feeling about it. It'd probably be easier if he flew on my back, kind of sitting on my butt, but I didnt think he'd dig the idea of flying that way; i wouldn't have a hold on him, he'd have to hold on to me.::

That was it..she was trying too hard...she was being to happy....and that was overkill for him. Kane set his spoon down and pushed his plate away, it's contents half-eaten.
"Risa...what's the matter? Did your mom say something to you? You're acting all funny...you're trying too hard to be happy. What's going on in that head of yours?"

::I wave my hands in front of me nervously "Nothing im fine really... i was just really hungry..." Finishing off my food I rubbed my stomach and decided it be wise not to bring him, so he wasn't in any danger on my behalf. I stretched my arms up and puffed out my chest. "So, did you enjoy seeing me in a bathing suit today Kane?" I grinned at him::

He addressed her question first.
"Yes." He said with an objective grin, propping his chin on the back of his hands.
"You know..when you're worried...you're whole face turns this light shade of pink...no one would notice it if they didn't look for it...but right now, I can see it from your neck..." He ran a single digit in an imaginary line from her throat to her forhead.
"All the way to your hairline...wanna tell me why?"

::i got even more nervous when he touched me and I flailed and jumped up, away from him "Uhm, no reason, hehe. Maybe im just hot.. thats right, i think im just getting hot.. whew its hot out here..." I picked up my plate "are you finished with yours? Ill do the dishes.." I tried everything to change the mood and the subject of me being nervous.::

He nodded then grabbed her wrist gently.
"Risa...you know you can talk to me anytime you need to right? I'm not going to turn you away if you need something from me." He sat back and then crossed his legs, looking out over the ocean.
"I'm not going to abandon you." His eyes were smooth and clear, as if seeing the end to a long race.

::i smiled at him "I know Kane, I know.." I took up his plate and walked into the kitchen slowly, wondering if I should just leave without telling him... so he woudn't be mad at me for not taking him with, but he'll be mad if I leave without tellingg him... it was a lose-lose situation.
Turning on the water, i washed my dish, in a daze. I made a face at my bottoms riding up again and picked my wedgie once again.::

He sighed. There was still that barrier that she was putting up...he couldn't tell Juri about the phone call..she'd just get mad that he picked up in the first place...but he could follow Risa...he was good at it...all he needed was money.

He headed down into the kitchen and passed through silent and intent. He needed to dress quickly..Risa would probably leave as soon as she was done..so he had to get out to the streets and find a cab that could get him there as fast as it could.
He was dressed in a matter of moments, coming down the stairs tying his headband around his forehead.
