Of all the useless things he could have learned over the years..Kane was suddenly aware that some forms of dance were actually quite useful as attacks. He swung up onto his wrists and with his feet still attached to the legs of the chair, cracked it into the professor's gut as he ran by...the rifle having been placed aside, he was defenseless..unless he knew hand to hand..but Kane didn't have time to worry about that.

::the professor gasped and fell to the floor, holding his gut tightly and grasping desperately for air. His lungs weren't that good; he smoked all the time. He spit out blood and looked up at the naked boy before him "Bastard.."

I yelled "KANE!" I saw him. I didnt mean it and I looked away, this was getting ridiculous, im sure he saw me already and I just sighed deeply, wanting so bad to be set free, have a bath, eat and be in Kanes grasp::

"Same to you." He smirked. His hands were already on his leg fetters...but he cursed as they only grew tighter and tighter the more he worked with them. His hands were slippery and the fact that they were shaking didn't help. The floor was cold on his back, but he didn't notice, all he cared about was getting Risa out of that tank and out of that house...but he didn't ntice that the chain his collar was attached to...was spread out over the floor.

::the professor looked up before him and yanked the chain, pulling Kane to the floor, he sat up "Now now...don't do this... you'll just make it worse for yourself.. or her.." he jerked his head over to me and I looked away. It was too good to be true...an escape...
The professor held Kanes chain tightly and picked up the rifle that was laying under his desk "Now now... come with me..." he wrapped the chain around his wrist and pulled out a key and unlocked the chair chamber I was in, tucking the gun under this arm. He undid the restraints and i stood obediently- i didnt like my neck yanked, so I tried not to struggle anymore, I was in enough pain as it was.
"im putting you both in your holding cells for a while.. so lets go.." he yanked the chains, one in each of his hands, the rifle still under his arm as he led us out of the room. i stared blankly at the floor, not bothering to hide myself from Kane anymore, im sure he'd already had an eye full::

Kane yelped and thrashed about on his end of the chain. He was so STUPID!! How could he think he could get Risa out of this so easily. MORON! He was choking, but he didn't care as he stumbled to his feet...he started for the professor..but he had the rifle in hand. He cursed and fell in step beside Risa, He wanted to take her hand so badly...but..he was sure that she would only get hurt for it.
At least she's out of that thing.. He thought..unaware that they were both about to be caged in worse conditions then they had been.

::Entering the tower that was my room, he opened my cage and threw Kane in first, he was the threat, and he locked it behind him, his chains dragged across the cages hard floor surface.
"Stay in there and think about what youre going to do next...i cant wait for your next trick...." he spit on the floor and looked to me "now, what should I do with you my dear?" he scratched his chin and looked around. There was an even smaller caged in the back. He led me with him and pulled it out, beside Kanes cage. It was only the size of a refrigerator, laying on its side, and he opened it, it creaked open.
"There you are my dear." I obediently went in, getting down on all fours and he slammed it shut. The distance between our cages was too far for us to reach one another. I curled up in a ball and had my back facing Kane. His cage was about the size of the back of a UPS truck- pretty spacious. The one I was in had the same properties as the old one- bare floor and bars all around. I shivered and the professor smiled "i'm going out for a bit... you two be good little pets.." he walked out, slamming the door behind him, leaving the computer screen on, it was the only thing that lit the room.
I was cramped. I had no room for my wings to move. I barely could spread my legs out straight and i just sighed deeply, and held the wound on my neck, it still throbbed. My body was covered in bruises and scabs from being experimented on. My wings were bloodstained from the needles and straps.::

Kane skidded along the concrete and slammed into the otherside of the cage. For being a prentious old fart...the professor was pretty strong...Kane hated that. He made a rush at the cage door as it slammed in his face, sending him flying back. He lay there breathing heavily as Risa was shoved into that cramped little cell...Kane cursed himself...why couldn't he be the one in the small spaces...why was it always Risa who was humilitaed....why.....? He threw a hand over his face as the professor left, and stayed that way for a long time.

"Risa.." He said at last.
"Forgive me." His voice was tearladen and his shoulders jerked with unshed tears.
"I...I can't save you...no matter how hard I try...I...I can't seem to do anything right."

::I keep my back to him and speak softly "Kane... I forgive you...I love you... for trying to save me and being here with me.. I just wish you didnt have to go through the same pain as I am.." My wings ached and I curled myself into a tighter ball.
I blushed "Did.... you see me?" I rest my head on my arm and close my eyes. I lay my wing over my body to keep warm and I tuck my other arm under my body for warmth. The room was deadly quiet; the only sound heard was the sound of the computers tower fan running and the 5 minute beeps of the small camera in Kane's cage::

He smiled through the tears.
"I love you too...the pain doesn't bother me....well not my own...I hate to see you hurt though." He rolled onto his stomach and did the only thing he could given the circumstances, began to do push-ups.
"No..three...I didn't, wasn't paying that much attention..six...wanted to kill that psycho too badly...ten..."

::I sigh "the pain should bother you... It hurts me... My body aches all over..." I yawned, keeping my back turned to him "I'm sorry... I saw you by accident.." My stomach growled loudly and I grimaced.
"Kane.. how did you find out where I was anyway..?"::

He chuckled.
"I've had worse...believe it or not." He blushed and almost faltered in his next set as she confessed that she'd seen him, but he coughed and brushed it off.
"Luck I guess....some drunk guy said that he'd seen the car that you got in head out this way..then I spent most of the night hunting this place."

::I roll over and look at him, then freak out and roll back over, forgetting he was naked for a second."Im s-sorry.." i fumbled over my words. I then frowned, still facing the opposite way of him "how in the world can you be doing push-ups at the time like this? And..." i paused "why aren't you hiding yourself from me, or him?"
"Kane.. you shouldn't have gotten yourself caught for my sake.. you could have gotten Zahara or my mother to help..tell them what was going on here..."
I shifted around in the cage; it was impossible to move and i growled "dammit...i want to fly...I havn't stretched my wings out in a long time.... seems like forever.."::

"Why?" He asked simply.
"I don't regret a minute of it...'what doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.'" He chuckled again, his mood lightening.
"It's the only thing I can do right now...keeps my mind clear, and its good training." He stopped a moment and then nodded.
"I don't hide from you...well...because I'm not embarrased around you..and...as for him..I'm not about to let him think that I'm uncomforatble..guys like that feed off of your insecurites..they love to watch you squrim under their microscopes. I'm not going to give him that pleasure."
Kane scoffed.
"Your mom didn't want anything to do with me. I wanted to know who she'd sent you with and I got the window slammed on me..as for Dracula...he'd have been nice on a feild trip like this..but I didn't have time." He stopped again and hung his head.
"I'm sorry....I'm sorry I got you caged again..."

::blushing, i responded "I..forgot you were nude.."
I clutched my wing and stroked it softly; it was my only source of warmth and comfort.
I grin "So... you were actually gonna sleep nude at the end of my bed...weren't you?" i laugh, grabbing my chest, it hurt as i laughed.
I play with a stray feather and look to the floor, seeing a rat run by, "If i wasnt so sure he liked me, Id say he liked you... I didn't see a reason to strip you.."
I shift again, laying on my belly and my feet up in the air behind me, my wings at my side, I crossed my arms under my head, "my... mother is very protective of me... she only wants whats best for me... and we were planning this for a long time.. I just didn't think it'd actually happen..."
i shrug my shoulders "Its ok.. id feel pretty bad if you were in here... you wouldn't be able to move, or do push-ups.. you're alot bigger than I am" I sigh "Im..kind of getting used tot his anyway... the professor seems like he wants to help me.. he's even kind sometimes.. he drained the water when i asked... and even gave me an apple earlier.."::

"HHmmm...Come to think of it I was." He laughed louder now, almost as if he were back on the roof again. He stopped and gaped at her.
"Okay..now you're just trying to scare me." He shook his head and dipped down again for another set, his body beginning to outline itself in sweat on the floor.
"Protective? Her? Forgive me if I play the ass here..but I doubt she was being 'protective' when she sent you off like she did." He rolled his eyes.
"Thanks..I think...I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered." He grunted as he lifted up again..his wrist beginning to burn.
"I doubt that...else why keep you in that cage? You didn't put up a fight, you didn't need to be restrained...why put you through all this tourture if he wants to help?"

::i laugh hard "Liar..." I stay smiling; It seemed like forever since I smiled.
I sigh deeply, my smile fading "Kane... My mother does truly love me.. believe it or not.. why else would she take on a burden like me anyway? It was her choice to adopt me..."
I thought for a second and closed my eyes "I think if i keep obeying him, he may let me out of here... or at least take this thing off my neck.." I scratched at it again, my neck was red from its irritation to my skin, not to mention the needle from earlier.
I twiddled my fingers "i'm kinda suprized he didn't cage us together... It would have been easier on him... he could even make us.." i paused and closed my eyes, blushing::

Kane sighed not willing to press the matter further.
"Risa." He said stopping and looking at her back.
"If he lets you out of here, and takes that collar off, I want you to get out of here, first chance you get. Leave me if I can't make it with you, but GO. His stare was bright in the dark, the green almost illuminating his face.
"He couldn't have made us..for one I dettered him from that..he dosen't want to taint your genes...that wouldn't do him any good to have a bunch of halflings running around for his studies would it? Two, I wouldn't have done it. Period."

::I roll over and look at him, not bothering to cover myself, "Kane... If I do get out of here, I'm not leaving you.." I look into his sad eyes and press on "i need you... I cant leave you here.."
I grin "Kane... not 'made us'.... he.." she paused "he could have bred us, to see what would be the outcome... he's kind of dumb, not to think of these things himself.." I grinned and rolled onto my back, still cramped, i put my hands behind/under my head as a support "But I guess youre right about not tainting my genes.... and we dont need half-angels.." i stopped "..monsters running about the place..."::

Kane pressed on, each set stopping at the peak to talk to Risa.
"You leave me here." He said sternly
"I mean it Risa, don't you risk getting out of here for me." He let out a cry as his wrist finally gave way to the pressure and he fell onto his side, breathing heavily.
"They won't be monsters...not a one of them...they'll all be beautiful...like thier mother." He smiled against the cold floor warmed by his exercise.

::I frowned at him "You cant stop me from saving you If i get out... so shut up... just like you... I cant live without you either... and.." his words echoed "Its what I wish.."
I saw him fall; his wrist was red and looked like it was bleeding "Kane are you alright? you shouldn't strain it too much..."
I let out a psh and cross my arms across my chest "Knock that crap off Kane.. you know I dont want kids...and stop flattering me... I cant reach you to touch your face as thanks.." I blushed, glancing over at him. I shivered and my wings twitched.::

He could only laugh at her determination.
"My my...methinks the lady doth care for the rogue." He looked over, his head rolling onto his chin.
"If you order it so it shall be." He mocked her psh and smiled.
"It's not crap, you are beautiful, and if you did want kids they'd all be a pretty as you.....probably as stubborn as me, but hey who's counting faults here?" His face fell into concern and he raised up to all fours.
"Are you cold Risa?"

::"this lady doth.. whatever.." i got tied up in his mid-century slander "I love you. Plain and simple." I nodded. "And i'd never abandon you.."
I smile at him "Kane... youre such a sweetheart.. with stubbornness like yours, I know they'd all be little hell-raisers" I laugh.
I looked over at him as I shivered "Yeah, Im alright. I was like this all last night..hehe.." I smiled at him goofy and sighed "I want to go home. I miss my cats.."::

He smiled. Although he'd never admit it..he was glad she was there...and that she wouldn't leave him again.
"Well..in that case a good solid dozen might do us some good." He looked at her for a second then laughed.
"Kidding, I'm kidding." His smile faded again and he leaned back on his knees.
"You shouldn't be on that floor...you'll catch your death of cold Risa."

::"No kids....no kidding..." I sent him an evil stare.
He's sitting on his knees, plain view. I put my head face down in my arms as I rolled onto my belly again. That Image was now burned into my mind and I couldnt help but smile, and at a time like this...
I sneeze into the floor and wipe my nose on my arm "I don't have much of a choice... I have no room to sit up..."

The Professor walked back in "well hello my pets, how are we this evening?" he slipped a loaf of bread in each of our cages "eat up, we have a big day tomorrow!" he looked at me pathetically in the cage.
I looked at him with sad eyes "Professor... may i come out? I... want to be with you.." i blushed, and threw up in my mouth a little at the thought but swallowed it quickly. Hopefully my plan would work...and Kane wouldn't get jealous or angry with me, but I hoped he would play along.
He smiled "If your a good kitten, then yes. You've been so good lately Risa... and I'd enjoy your company...somewhat.." he pulled the key from his pocket and unlocked my cage. I crawled out, my chain dragging beside me and i smile, picking up the chain and handing it to him "don't forget this.." I looked at him lustfully and he almost fell over in shock::

He laughed a little and nodded.
"Alright, alright."

Kane glared back defiantly as the loaf of bread was chucked into his prison, but nevertheless he knew that he had to eat to stay strong enough..but he almost choked on what little he'd bitten off when Risa started her act.
"Wha!" He cried.
"Risa, you've got to be kidding!" He looked at her with knowing eyes and didn't miss a beat.
