He shrugged and looked away sheepishly.
"I suppose I could always steal them for you..if you don't want to go and get them that is." He laughed lightly at that thought.
"Not everything...just most things..." He shifted her weight and whispered softly into her ear.
"Sleep Dear-Heart..and we'll be at our destination soon."

He darted across one street after another, hiding in the shadows of buildings and trees, keeping out of street lamps as he made his way to Risa's house...he supposed she'd still want to stop there and explain things...so he headed around to the back, and hunkered down amongst the bushes.

::i smile "i hope you guys dont mind...."
I closed my eyes softly, feeling his warm breath on my ear and i drifted into a soft light sleep.

I was awakened suddenly of bushes brushing against me and i looked up, rubbing my eyes "Oh..home already? Why are we back here???" I look to him, puzzled. "Did you want to come inside with me or wait out here for me? I think you should call Juri.. i dont think were going to be vacationing again any time soon.." I crawled out of his arms and stood up, brushing myself off::

Kane shook his head against all her questions.
"One at a time, please!" He looked to the back door and nodded.
"I thought you might want to explain everything to your mom, I'm coming in, and Juri can wait...knowing her, she's probably already back home fearing that any minute the cops are going to call and say that I've been arrested." He sighed and set her on her feet.
"Besides...we should really get you something else besides that coat...it reeks of tobacco." He gripped her hand as he rose.
"Ready?"

::I nod and tighten my grip on his hand back and smile at him. "I dont like this coat... im all naked underneath and it does nothing for warmth.." I shivered and headed for the front door.
i opened it slowly. Mom was on the couch reading and she jerked her head up "RISA!? what are you doing home? Why are you wearing that? Wheres the professor?" she glared at Kane who seemed to follow her in like a stray cat "What's HE doing here..." she growled.
I hissed back "Mom...that professor was a monster.. he tricked you... he conducted experiments on me.... did unspeakable things to me.." I looked to the floor

Kane glared off to one side, digging a pinky into his ear.
"Nice to see you too." He muttered.
He nodded as if to emphazise Risa's story.
"I meant to break his jaw when I left...but I suppose knocking him out that first time worked too."

::I sigh "he...was horrible to me..." i unbuttoned my lab coat and revealed my bruised and battered body to her. I didnt mind if Kane saw-but Mom did.
"RISA!" she stepped in front of her, to block the view from Kane "Leave..now"
I pushed her aside "Mother no. I love him... he rescued me..." I walked up to him and put my arm around his hip, still nude. I put my wing around him. "Mom.. if you can't accept the fact that I want to be with him...then I have no choice but to leave.." I picked up the lab coat and threw it in the trash.
I took Kanes hand "C'mon...help me pack.."
My mother growled "RISA! He could expose you! Or worse?!"
I whipped my head around "MOTHER! YOU exposed me! Kane loves me! And if he does expose me... Its better to have loved than to never have loved at all..." i walked up the steps slowly::

Kane let out a goan as Risa's mother moved between them, did she honestly think that she was doing her daughter a favor? He silently followed her but turned and moved in front of her, hoping to stave off her mother's anger.
"Listen, I don't know what kind of life you two have been living...But so far...I've left Risa's secret just that...a secret. You can hate me, even dispise me...but I don't think that should matter...not when it comes to her." He clenched his fists and glowerd.
"I'm not going to sell her out...for money, or fame...I've seen what comes of both..." His face fell and his eyes grew tired.
"I don't want to fight with you." He turned and started after Risa.

:My mother just groaned and plopped back down in the chair "Fine... do what you want. Its your life..." she continued to read her book, and glared at Kane at what he said as he followed me up the steps.
I entered my room flicking on the light, the cats gave me stare as their sleep was disturbed. I gathered a few trash bags and threw one to Kane. "Hey.. do you mind if I get a quick shower?"::

He shook his head.
"No go ahead." He smiled and sat beside her cats as they blinked, rubbing them both under their chin.

::I smiled at him and slipped out of the room and into the bathroom. After taking a hot 10 minute shower I slipped back into the room in a towel "Hee hee... I forgot a change of clothes" I stuck my tongue out at him and rummaged though my drawers and caught my slipping towel. I looked to him "C'mon... help me pack, I thought you'd be done stuffing those bags by now..." Grabbing the clothes I went back into the bathroom"::

Kane rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Great." he muttered looking away politely.
"I wasn't about to go filtering through your drawers...not without you in here." He threw a pillow at her.
"But if you want me to sift through your underwear, by all means I'll empty all of them for you." He slid off and made his way to her closet to grab a few of her clothes.
((It would have been longer, but I was rushed XP))

::Coming back in dressed, I looked at him, a bit confused as I caught the pillow with one free hand and I asked "Are.. you angry with me?" I walked up to him and touched his cheek with my soft, now clean hand.
"I trust you Kane.... I know you'd be a big boy about it.." I smiled, opening my sock and underwear drawer and pulling on a pair of socks. I wore long pants, and I had my wings tied under my clothes. The rope against my sore skin hurt and i just sighed and stood back up, opening the trash bag and throwing the whole drawers fill into it.
I pointed to the cats "So.. were bringing them right? Did you call Juri and let her know whats going on?" I tried not to look at him; he seemed kind of distant as I packed my things.::

He looked at her and shook his head.
"No of course not." He smiled.
"You might not want to trust me that much." He looked back to the cats and nodded.
"You bet." He made a face and shook his head.
"No...not yet....I'll call her when we get back to our place. She's going to kill me...better it to be in our own home." He looked over at her and her face seemed to be scrinched.
"Are you alright?" He asked quietly.

::I smiled "Believe me...if I trust you in seeing me naked, I definitely trust you with my underwear drawer."
I sigh deeply and empty out the rest of my drawers into the bag and tie it, I smile at him smugly "Youre gonna carry that, right?"
I looked to him "oh, im alright, Im just worried about you...you seem so distant..like youre upset or something.. whats on your mind? Talk to me.." I pull out one cat carrier from my closet and push Misty into it. she meowed in protest but gave up::

He chuckled.
"Well then, I'll do my best so that your trust isn't in vain...but if a few go missing...I swear it's NOT me." He grabbed up the bag and slung it over his shoulder.
"As you wish." He grimaced, glad he wasn't her cats and shook his head.
"It's nothing....just.....just wondering what we're going to do about school...you're probably still on the lamb...and I'm supposed to be on vacation." He laughed exhasperatedly and scratched his head.

::I laugh at his bad joke and stuff my blanket into my pillow case along with the pillow and scoop up Oreo and carry Misty in the carrier. She howled in sadness.
I looked to him "well..I think my mom straightened things out with Chidori and her family.... so hopefully all will be okay at school tomorrow..." I head downstairs and my mother hands me a bag. "Heres the cats food, dishes, treats and bowels. Keep in touch, alright Risa? and you.." she points at Kane angrily, then gets softer "Take good care of her... im counting on you..." she touched his cheek and smiled warmly.::

Kane nodded glad to hear it.
"You're actually letting her out of the house?" He smirked as her mother handed the cat's things to her. He set the bag down and extended his hand.
"Not much of a touchy-feely person..but I think a handshake would do...don't you?" He smiled at her hand on his face and nodded.
"If I don't who will?" He clenched a fist and looked at it.
"I'll make sure that you're not dissapointed."

::My mother hit his hand aside and hugged him gently, holding the back of his head firmly "Risa is a touchy-feely one, so get used to it....Take...care of her...Please. she means alot to me..." She released her grip and then hugged me; I didnt hug back, my hands were full but I smiled at her "thanks mom..." I took a tight hold on Oreo and walked out of the house.
I glanced over at Kane while my mom shut the door behind us soflty "Well, that went better than i thought..." I smiled at him goofy and then sighed "I bet Juri is still at the beach house... do you think she'll have a fit if were alone at your place?"::

Kane made a face as he slowly wrapped his arms around her mother in return.
"Uhh....thanks..I think......no really...you're crushing my ribs..." He coughed as she moved to hug Risa.

"Better? Define Better." He hoisted her bags and checked his pocket for his cell phone.
"She won't worry too much about us...but I wouldn't be surprised if she raced back home.." He dialed her number and while they made their way back to his home, explained everything to his frantic sister.
"That's that I guess..." He said finally snapping it shut.
"She says you can take her bed for the night until she can get the other room cleaned..and she'll be home before morning." He smirked and then sighed his face crestfallen.
"Of course she's making me taste-test her food for the next month and a half for making her worry..but that's better than what she could have done....make me her sparring partner."

::"Better as in she didnt attempt to stab you with her reading glasses.... or lock me in my room..." i sighed deeply, and just listened as he spoke frantically to Juri, smiling every five minutes or so hearing her mumbling over the speaker.
I look over at him with a face as he slammed the phone shut. "Im sorry about getting you in trouble..." Oreo got squirmy as we entered his front yard.::
[i hope you take your comp to the doctor tonight....-.-']

He nodded.
"Then yes, it did go better." He sighed and opened the gate for her.
"Don't worry about it...it's nothing that she wouldn't have done anyway....she's more upset that I tresspassed and was almost eaten alive by dogs than anything."
He raced ahead and opened their door with a flare.
"Here we are M'lady, please make yourself at home." He smirked at the cats that she held.
"You and your furry vassals."
((I doubt it..but one can hope *crosses fingers*))

::I thanked him and walked in his warm home and i looked around, dropping Oreo. she sniffed about in wonder and curiosity and made her way through the house, inspecting everything. Misty, as soon as I let he rout of her carrier she dashed up the steps and hid under the pile of clothes and debris under Kanes bed.
"Oh well... theyre not one for moving too much.." I shrugged as I pulled off my shoes and looked around. His bird Abel greeted me with a squawk as I closed the door behind Kane; his hands were still full anyway.
I walked up to the cage and smiled at him "Youre adorable little one... I sure hope my vessels leave you alone.."
I glance over at Kane "Im going to go out for a bit, Im gonna get us something to eat for dinner, ill be back soon" i kissed his cheek and slipped my shoes back out and hurried out of the house. It was about 1 am now::

(I think you two have been using the big spoon >.>; I dont know any parent or parental figure that acts like that. "oH well, raised you all your life, go live with someone I hardly know teehee!" O.o;; lol Only in anime XP)


Zahara emerged from the van that had stopped a few streets from his "new location". In a half stagger he made his way down the block as his ride drove off without him. He pulled out his device and squinted as he read, barely making out the lettering as he spoke to himself. "I just cant focus.." He sighed and walked about, straying from the area he was supposed to be going and found himself in front of a store. He saw an old woman approaching the door. He grabbed the door and pulled it open allowing her passage. She thanked him in a low raspy voice as she hobbled behind her walker. As the woman went past him he could not help but realize the refreshing blast of cool air coming from the store. He breathed in smelling the aroma of freshly ground coffee. I'll worry about that later.. He slipped the device back into his inner coat pocket and entered, heading straight for what could only be the holy grail in coffee pot form.

::I yawned and walked into the 7-Eleven that was 3 blocks from Kanes house. It smelled strongly of coffee, even for this late at night. I walke3d over to the freezer and peered in for something to eat. I was in a junk food mood.::

Kane had waved her along as he'd moved into the kitchen, determined to catch up on all the dishes that he'd ignored the past week, before Risa had a heart attack.
He smiled as she left leaning into the living room.
"So, Abel...you like her?" A sqwak was his only answer.
"Yeah..somehow I thought you'd say that." He shook his head and returned to the piles of plates that awaited him in the murky dishwater.
