"That's not the point." He protested.
"I shouldn't have let you go in the first place, no one should be made to feel like a lab rat." He laughed, a little taken back by her forwardness.
"Mmm....I'll have to think about that one." He kissed her gently, and smiled.
"Come on, or Juri will think we've died up here."
He hopped over the sleeping cat, and skidded into the kitchen, and waved a 'good morning' to Juri who sat at the table , sipping coffee like she'd never left.
"Well now, there you two are. The list is on the fridge there Kane, Breakfast will have to be cereal for the time being, we're almost out of everything, so I didn't figure it'd be wise to cook. Money's by the door in an envelope." She stood, now dressed in her uniform.
"You going in today Juri?"
"Yeah, Okiku's can't seem to run right without me."
"I'll leave you a light on alright?"
"That's fine." She dropped her mug in the sink and headed out the door.
She wasn't gone a minute before she popped her head back inside and glared at Kane.
"And Kane..."
"Yeah?"
"I want my change back." He feinged innocence and let out a gasp.
"Would I cheat you? My own sister out of her hard earned money?"
"Yes, yes you would."
"Owch.." She smiled and waved.
"You two be careful out there today, never know what kind of weirdos are hanging about."

"You shouldnt ahve let me go? Kane, Im caged enough, If I wanna go somewhere, I shouldn't have to ask permission... or have you worry about me. Im fine" she thought of her nightly escapes.
I kissed him back, passionately.
I followed him down the stops, walking over the sleeping Misty too. I stood silently as they spoke, I sent a secret smile and 'thank you' to Juri.

I waved to her as she left.
"Have a good day Juri." I smiled.
I looked to Kane.
"Lets eat quickly, so we can get this over and done with." I went to the cupboard and pulled out the box of Frosted Flakes and poured us both bowels and sat down, eating quickly.

He stopped a moment and chuckled, his hands on his hips.
"I knew you were a firecracker....been missing that lately." He grinned lopsidedly and shook his head.

"See you all when I get back." And then she was gone. Kane made his way over to the fridge and hauled out the gallon of milk with a sigh.
"Don't like shopping much do you? Can't really blame you though....Lot of people in one area....sucks."

"I can be more than that you know..." I sent him a lustful grin and slipped a purr out, trailing my fonger form his chin to his chest and to his abdomen then stopped.
"When youre ready... I am." I said, glancing at him, pink in the face.

I shook my face, looking up at him.
"No, not really. Too busy, and its supposed to be hot today. Id rather be inside in the air conditioning. PLus... my wings have been aching from being out so much. I used to be in the house at home all the time, so my wings could be out."

"Eh, that's right.." He thought as he poured, handing over the jug to Risa.
"It is isn't it?" He made a face, but glad that his shirt was short sleeved.
"If you want, I can go on my own and be back before too long. You'd be more comfortable that way and you could leave your wings out."

"I mean it Kane. You know... we'll have the house to ourselves when we get back.." I said in a low voice.
I nodded, pouring the milk and setting the jug on t he table, in case we wanted a second bowl. I shook my head after taking another bite.
"No, I'm going with you. I doubt you know whats fresh, whats not, whats a high price and whats not. Besides, we'll be spending time together."

He smirked and lifted an eyebrow.
"Eh heh....." He thought about it a moment and.....then thought about it some more........
"Hehhh..." He really wasn't even paying attention when Risa told him he wouldn't know fresh if it bit him on the rear.
"Sounds fun..." He said almost to himself, his spoon paused mid-air.....if the boy thought any harder on the subject he wasn't going to ever get finished and all he'd have left was a soggy bowl of cereal.

I laughed aloud... didnt think he'd actually go for the idea... but his lap was sure excited about it. I whistled, finishing up my bowl and walking to the sink.
"Fix your pants before we head out will yah? The faster we get out and shop, the faster we'll get back." I said simply. i went to the sink and washed my bowl, yawning, and glancing at the clock. 9:32 am. It will be hot by 10...

Kane shook himself out of it and looked down, red.
"Crap." He muttered.
"Snakes, and snails and puppy dog tails, snakes and snails and puppy dog tails..." He chanted over and over till he felt safe enough to stand.
"Nice of you to let me know my Zipper was down Risa." He sighed. If she kept this up....it was going to be a loooooooonnnng day.

[LOL now youre just teasing me. I didnt say his FLY was down... XD she was being observant without being blunt]

I chuckled, placing the bowl in the drying rack.
"Well, should we get going then?" I said, running my hand over his hair and down his back, doing to the stoop and sitting, to put my shoes on. Oreo purred, rubbing my hip and I pet her, waiting for Kane. Abel was still fast sleep, head nuzzled in his wing feathers.

((He's not going to say that he was.......'happy' XDDD He's making an excuse that doesn't make him sound like a perv........even though he is XDD))

"Yeah." He grabbed the list off the fridge and stuffed it into a pocket, and hopped down beside Risa and jerked on his boots, lacing and tying them in a matter of minutes.
"There. All set, you got everything?" He asked pausing at the door.

[OHHHok LOLLL]

I nodded, standing up.
"Yeah, c'mon lets go." I hooked my arm with his and headed out, locking the door behind us and walking down the street. The sound of cicadas filled the air, and sprinklers and air conditioners wer eon high blast in the homes we walked past.
"Whew, im sweating already... my feathers are sticking to me." I laughed, heading towards the market.

He looked over, Kane was just a bit warm, and his back was starting to sweat a little.
"I bet that's uncomfortable." He sighed out of sympathy for her.
"We'll hurry and get what's on the list and get you back home alright?"

I smiled, looking up at him.
"It is, but im used to it. No need to feel sorry for me, thats the last thing i want you to do is feel sorry for me.." I nodded, stretching up my arms.
"Sure. Lets go." I paced faster and made it to Market Street. It was hustling and bustling with people, running from stand to stand to get the best deals. Fruit, fish, veggies and other things lined each stand with the stand owners yelling out specials.
"Ohh lemme see the list?"

He dug into his pocket and dug out the list that Juri had left and handed it over.
"I guess that means that I'm left to carry everything." He said with a smile. That was how things were, when Juri went shopping, he did the same thing, carried the bags and looked around leaving all the important decisions to Juri on what was fresh and what wasn't.

I looked it over, and nodded, knowing what stands to go to and quick. I glanced up at him though my brown, sweaty bangs.
"You wanna follow my running around, or wait here and ill run to you and give you the bags? This is all minor junk...ill be finished this list in a half hour, 45 minutes at the most. Its only... about 25 things." I smiled at him widely, I could tell the heat was getting to him, his naked forehead glistened in the bright rays with beads of sweat; mine did the same.

He shook his head.
"I'll just go ahead and go with you, I've got the money anyway." He swiped his forehead with his arm and let out a sigh.
"But the sooner we get this done the better for us both I think...let's hurry." He glanced up underneath his arm at the bright blue sky, the small clouds, but mostly, the large yellow ball of death that hovered above them, scorching them in it's malice.
"You'll get yours." He silently promised.
"Just you wait till a storm cloud comes along."

I shrugged and about faced, getting ready for my assault on the stands.
"Alright... try to keep up then."
[hope yah dont mind a time lapse] I headed into the crowds and bout this, that and the other thing. An hour later, we stood, drenched head to toe in sweat, but bought everything, bargain priced. I gave him an exhausted thumbs up.
"Lets....go home..." I panted, taking a few bags form him to help carry and headed towards home. The sun was still high up; it was only about 1 pm now; the peak of the heat.

"Watch me." He said in full confidence..

By the time that he and Risa had gotten back out into the open air..his sarcastic way was gone...and then some, he was too tired to argue, to flirt, to eat, to drink..all he wanted to do was go home and stick his head into the freezer.
"People....how I hate you and your body heat." He agreed wholeheartedly with Risa and shouldered his bags as best he could in the heat, and headed back for his home.

At the front door, I looked to him, waiting for him to rummage for his keys. His hands were fuller than mine and I placed one bag in my other hand.
"I'll get them, are they in your pocket?" I asked, looking to him, a bead of sweat running down my cheek. The shade of his porch wasnt even enough to help our heat exhaustion, and we should have bought a drink, but didnt; it was Juris money, and we were thirsty...

Kane nodded, shifting the weight in his arms.
"Yeah, no, the one on the left, there ya go." He lifted his hip to allow her better acess to his pocket and never once considered how odd it was...at leat to outsiders...and he really didn't care about them anyway.
The door opened and he all but fell inside, taking the groceries and laying them out on the kitchen table, before starting to put them away.

I helped to put them away after falling inside the 20 degree cooler home and poured us both a tall glass of lemonade.
After all was put away, In the living room, I stripped off all my clothing, all but my bra and panties and cut off the twine. I looked to Kane.
"I hope you dont mind.. Im so hot." my feathers dripped of sweat, and even my bra and panties were soaked, every last fiber.
"I...think im gonna take a cold shower. How about you?" I looked to him, sending him an obvious invitation.

"Go on Risa, this is practically your home now too."
He smiled out of the kitchen before turning back and stuffing his head into the bags looking for the stuff that went into the cabinets.
"I planned on it, but I'm still putting this stuff in it's place, you on on ahead of me." He sent her a saddned look holding up three more bags.
"Juri will have my hide if any of this spoils...and even in the house, it's pretty warm." He sighed and jerked his shirt over his head laying it over the back of a chair.
"Sometimes, I think it'd be a good thing to be a popsicle.....until someone got the hankering for ice cream."
((I know how he feels..my room is STIFILING! D: *dies*))

I nodded.
"Well, I could always help you know..." I stopped, and walked into the kitchen, putting the beef away, then the cereal.
"It is hot, dont you have any fans around? We could circulate some of the air." I finished with two of the bags, still in just my bra and panties, but I didnt care.
"Mmmm...you a popcicle? I may just havta satisfy my hankering for some ice cream then.." I sent him a sly smile and kissed his cheek swiftly, putting away more stuff.
Misty and Oreo were spraweled out on the livingroom floor, on their backs, passed out and panting from the heat.
[Air is on in my room, im shivering XD]

He sighed.
"Only a window fan, but I doubt that that's going to help any." He turned a light pink and chuckled.
"Hnn...somehow I thought you'd say something like that." He smiled, and put the vegetables into the 'crunchy' drawer in the refridgerator.
((I would KILL to get some of the night air into my room...well. ok so maybe not KILL....but I'd maim...I would certainly maim!))
