I laughed and nodded.
"A cool shower will help us cool down, so c'mon. Lets go." I finished up the last of the bags and headed up the steps.
"Kane, do you like to take long how showers, or short cold showers?" I asked, trying to make conversation.
[LOL its humid and raining here, so no windows open for me]

He shrugged putting the last box away.
"Depends, what's the temperature like?" He chuckled.
"Right now, COLD....short and cold."
He followed behind her, for...no particular reason, and went on.
"In the Winter, I'm more apt to take long hot showers, but that's only right before bed, that way, when I hop in a freezing bed, it keeps me from completely turning icecube."
((Awww, I wish it'd rain down here T^T It's been killer today, my range is 60 degrees- 79degrees, and that's about it, anything outside of that, and I cease to function properly.

I laughed and looked out a nearby window.
"Well, from thw sweat on your shirt, I figured you'd wanna take a cold one." I went into his room and had my back turned to him when I peeled off my panties and unhooked my bra. I turned back around slowly, keeing my wings flattened to my sweaty back.
"Ill start it up." I said, smiling at him, not being shy at all. I headed into the bathroom and turned on the water, not completely cold, but still pretty cool.

Kane stopped in the middle of the hall...confused.
"Did...did she?" He started to ponder over the events of late and merely shrugged them off.
"Alright." He would need that cold water after seeing her emerge from his room like that.

I yawned and climbed in the cool shower and closed my eyes, looking up at the shower head dispursing the cold gold running over my body.
"Mmmm..Kane, you better hurry before I enjoy this all too much..." I said aloud. I picked up the pink pouf that was mine and covered it in the soapy bubbles and ran it over my body; the sweat smeall was slowly going away, and my wings never felt so great in my life.

((Yeps. @[email protected] *ish going to die of heat stroke*))

It was a moment or two later when Kane..smirking like an idiot, joined her....he was still a bit heistant about the whole shower together thing...so he was wearing that loathesome bit of fabric the idiots on the school board DARED to call a uniform....his Gym swimsuit.
"Hey there." He smiled.

I smiled at him as he joined me and nodded at him.
"hey there, finally got some guts..." I quickly glanced down and groaned and frowned at him.
"It took me alot of courage to do this...whatever." I sighed and finished lathering my body and I quickly rinsed off under the cool water, keeping my eyes closed. I picked up my shampoo and poured some into my palm and vigorously washed my brown hair, not saying a word to him, and not even looking at him, I kept my back to him, wings and all.

[just now... our distance i think delays it sometimes.]

"ow...." Kane looked at her with his puppy eyes, but when she turned from him he shrugged and squatted in the shower, enjoying the cold water, he sighed in bliss and closed his eyes.
"This is much better than outside." He arched his back, letting out a small grunt when two or more disks popped back into place.
"ow..."
He looked up through a slitted eye and felt like just curling up in the bottom of the shower and going to sleep for a while.
((Would LOVE to do that.....T^T GAAHHHHH!!! And it doesn't help that I got all sweaty and crap fighting with my freind's boyfriend with a bunch of ballons. XDD We celebrated his birthday today, that's why I was late.))

I said nothing in return and poured out feather treatment and brought a wing forward and washed it gently. The wounds from the ropes were more bare than ever and the flesh was still sore. I gently went over those areas with my hands.
After washing my wings and rinsing them off, shaking them and fluffing them like a bird and climbed out and wrapped my body up in a towel.
"Dont worry, I wont disturb you if you actually want to shower." I said coldly and left the bathroom, slamming the door behind me.

In his room and looked around, I was fighting back the tears swelling in my eyes.
Was he that uncomfortable? Did he hate me? Does... he never want to go further than kissing? I looked at myself in the mirror and opened my towel to reveal my body. Scarred. Some skin parts red from the all the years of tieing up my wings. I was skinny enough... right? I turned to my side and pinched at my gut. Maybe I wasnt flying enough... I sighed and covered my face, bringing my wings over my shoulders.

((XDD We were inside so there wasn't any water involoved, just a lot of throwing and 'sword' fighting with ballons XDDD I totally PWN XDD))

"Wha--" Kane looked up just in time to get a wing full of water right in the face.
"Ris--MMPH!" He cowered in the bottom of the shower spitting out soap..or something like it...obviously she wasn't rinsing well enough.
"PTEH!! Ewww, what is this stuff....tastes worse than Irish Spring."

He waited a few minutes longer...just in case she wanted her own privacy....and then he headed out...jerking on some shorts, ridding himself of that uncomfortable mess as soon as possible.
"Risa?" He stopped outside his room and knocked quietly.
"What'd I do now?" He asked pitifully....he didn't understand....what more did she want from him? She acted like she wanted more..but then when he tried....when he promised her the rest of his life...she didn't want any of it....she was too afraid of the 'half-breeds' that she might spawn...not that Kane thought it was a bad idea...but...he couldn't give her everything when she held him at bay.

By this time I was dressed in a tank and shorts, keeping my wings out and opened the door.
"Its your room you know, you can come in any time you want." The heat from the room gushed out, hitting him in the face head on. I walked past him, and parachuted down the flight of stairs and headed into the kitchen, making myself a tall glass of iced tea, humming a song to myself.
I want him... but I cant... why am I torturing him... myself...this way? I sighed deeply, throwing in some ice cubes and plopped down on the couch and yawned. My wings over the back of the couch, I sat pretty comfortably.

With a sigh, Kane followed her...though less gracefully, he did make it down the stairs taking two at a time to keep up with her.
He hadn't even bothered to dry off, so he stood in the living room, dripping lukewarm water onto the floor, not caring..he'd get it up later.
"Risa....are...are you angry with me?" Came his soft broken voice.
"If....if it's anything that I've done...please...tell me...I hate it when you leave me guessing what you want...I guess I screwed up again huh?" He smiled sheepishly, trying to lighten the mood...but it really didn't seem to work at all.

I sighed deeply, closing my eyes.
"No... more at myself. I cant understand why I keep coming on to you when nothing can ever happen. Im...torturing you... but i just want you to have me.. all of me... and i just want you to trust me... its not you."
I rocked the glass back and fourth watching the two cubes inside mingle and move two and fro. I crossed my legs.
"It hurt alot when I exposed my self to you upstairs... in my intimate of moments, in the shower, and you... came in with a bathing suit on. Think about that Kane, how would you have felt if you exposed yourself to me and I came in with a bathing suit on? Wouldnt you be a bit mad, or disappointed that you gathered all that courage, and your partner didnt even try? Or not even talk about it?" I let out a long sigh and rolled my head to the side.
"I just dont think I should stay here anymore. I keep thinking about going to the professors, and let him expierment on me, so maybe he can find a cure to this... disease."

"I dont know why I stay here, why we love one another when our love can never go any further."

Kane's head hung on his chest, his hand nearly embedded into the wall beside him.
"DAMNIT RISA!" He growled out.
"MAKE UP YOUR MIND! DO YOU ANT ME OR NOT!? I'M NOT AS INDECISIVE AS YOU ARE AND I'M WILLING TO DO ANYTHING IN ORDER TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!" He raised his head, his face distorted in anger, sadness, and fear.
"BUT I AM NOT, DO YOU HEAR ME, I AM NOT GOING TO ALLOW YOU TO GO BACK TO THAT MANIAC THAT TREATED YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL! I DID NOT GET SHOT AT, STABBED, AND HUMILIATED JUST TO LET YOU GO BACK TO HIM WILLINGLY!" He let his hand fall, his knuckles dripping red, his head falling with it.
"I trust you....I'm..I'm just scared is all....I..I don't want to do anything that will make you worried...or scared in turn...you..you tell me you don't want children...but...but that's a possiblitiy and you know that, if we take our relationship any further. You do not have a disease......and I don't know why we love each other...I don't know why you stay....but...if I have to break my heart a thousand times over to keep it that way, then it's a small price to pay to knowing you're here and safe."

I jerked by body a full 90 degrees to stare at him and finally the tears fell.
"For once, I want to hear what you want..... If you ever actually thought about it, its not like we'd ever do anything without protection..." I closed my eyes, not able to look into his, filled with so much emotion.
"I... didnt intend for anything to happen in the shower... I just thought it would be fun to be together in there... you wash my back, and the hard to reach places on my wings, and I wash yours. But seeing you come in with that on made me realize you were too shy for anything like that, and im sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable, but I would like to let you know.... that I dont feel shy at all being nude around you."I said softly, eyes looking to anything but his. I shook my head.
"I am always the one trying to make this work... this pain I am feeling is why I planned to stay alone for the rest of my life, so I wouldnt have to have this lust for someone... and so noone would be saddened or hurt over a decision I made for myself, or for the advancement of science.

He sighed, eyes glossy.
"You don't listen do you Tori? I said what I wanted.....I want to know that you love me...and I want you to know that I love you in return. That's all..." He looked away flushed pink.
"I'm...not shy...I just didn't want you to see......." He mumbled the last bit of it, but it had something to do with 'normal teenage hormones.' He shook his head and raised it looking at her.
"But that's not the point, Science is doing fine on it's own, you have a rare, special gift, and no one should be treated like a lab rat so that we land bound and envious creatures can share in your glory."

I sighed deeply, growling as I stood up quickly.
"What, dont want me to see that you were aroused because you saw me naked?! Please, forgive me but i did pay attention in Health class and i know what happens! they did show us before and after photos in the girls part of health class, its perfectly normal... besides, wearing that speedo doesnt hide anything...just the color of your skin"

I stared at him.
"I do love you, and I just... long to show you how much..." i walked up to him and pressed my whole body to his.
"I just... want to feel your skin to mine... is that so wrong..?" I brought my wings around him and tickled the back of his leg with my longest feather.

Kane didn't say anything...it wasn't normal....not in the least...in fact...it was kind of freaky...just what were they teaching the girls? At least now he had an idea why they all seemed so hot and bothered when he gave them so much as a passing glance.
He shuddered....freaky girls, freaky class...made sense.

He sighed and gripped her tightly in his arms.
"Risa...of course...but before....I really wondered what you were trying to do..push me away or keep me close...but...either way, promise me something? Promise me that you're not going to go back to that crazy doctor's place...ever. I'm too scared of losing you in there and never getting you back."

[well, in the end of it all, I got offline early to watch some Cowboy Bebop with him and he fell asleep during the first episode...so I angrily turned it off, to loud static and went to bed. He knew I was mad, because i cut my night short for HIM and he fell asleep... >.>]

"If you had not skipped health class all those times, Im sure youd be alot more interested in me..." I sighed, looking over his arm that held me tight.

"I finally realized I cant push you away, you just keep coming back so... I want you as close to me as possible...Promise...?" I rose my head from its perch on his chest and looked into his serious green eyes. I nodded, crossing my fingers around his back.
"I promise. And dont worry, Ive got it all covered." I winked at him and sighed, letting him go, folding my wings behind me. I awkwardly looked around the room; he was only in shorts and seeing his bare chest made me giddy. I ran a finger over his breast bone.
"You staying like this cause its hot or are you just teasing me?" I said with a smirk.

((Awww, ow...that's not a bleeder, but ow!))

He pouted a little, and looked away.
"When it comes to class or sleep, I'll always choose sleep, besides I was still making my runs back then, didn't have time for class."

He smiled, wrapping his arms around her again and leaning in close to her face.
"I'm staying like this because it's comfortable...and because it's hot." He chuckled and pressed their lips together for a brief moment, sighing with relief and exhasperation. Juri really should have expalined how girls worked before letting him out of the house when he was little.

[He made it up to me by watching it the next day LOL]

"Well, you missed alot of important life information in class... dont you even talk to any of the other boys to find out what you missed??"
"Yeah... its hot alright..." I grinned widely, running a hand over his right buttock. I kissed him back for that brief moment and let him go once again.
"I guess since youre... clueless... we can watch some TV or something..." I had a look on my face of disappointment and folded my arms, looking to the floor.

Kane pulled back and quirked an eyebrow at her.
"How much you wanna bet that none of said 'other boys' want to talk to me in the first place?" He jumped a little surprised by her hand, and felt his face turn red.
"What is it now?" He asked, seeing the distraught look on Risa's face.
"You look as though we hadn't made up yet."

[yeah...Im determined to get him to watch some popular anime before I drag him to Otakon... which, did you decide if you were going? Did you ever get back on Gaia??]

I shurgged and looked away.
"Well, didnt you at least TRY to make friends at school? Or at least get the homework you missed?" With that there was a sigh; I knew his answer already.
"A little jumpy? Im sorry..." I tucked my hands at my hips. I knew not to touch him again unless asked...
A long sigh and I plopped down on the couch.
"Oh nothing..." My eyes were half closed, half bored and the other half wishing he was alittle more bright in the women department.

((Going? Probably not, not for a while anyway. Have not the funds, as for Gaia...naw, I gave up on that when I decided to go for Rising Stars of Manga. After it's all said and done, I'm going to not worry about a lot of things and see if I can start another shop here on Mene. I need another source of income besides Rping XDD))

"Friends? Sure, that's how I got into the moonlighting business in the first place, I met most of those gang members that kidnapped Juri a while back in school....my problem was that I couldn't make good friends....Homework....eh not so much."
He smiled.
"You just surprised me that's all." He returned the goose when she turned from him and chuckled.
He held back a little worried about the way Risa had been acting as of late...he didn't know what the problem was, and it bothered him that because of that he couldn't remedy the situation.

"Those people used to be your friends? Sick..." I grunted.
I giggled as he returned the touch, sticking my tongue out at him.
I closed my eyes, leaning forward and pushing my wings over the back of the couch.
"Its nice not to have to hide my wings from you... I wish it wasnt so hot though." I pulled at my collar, trying to air myself out but failed miserably.
